Happy Amplitude user
What do you like best about the product?
The way that I can find user path within the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Group by feature works not as as for Mixpanel. It's difficult to change order not having drag n drop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Make postrelease monitoring for new features.

Very good very good
What do you like best about the product?
Really good to process large volumes of data in understandable and easy to action insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
The black-box-ness of it sometimes can leave you scratching your head and unsure if your analysis is correct - but that's data analysis life innit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly getting quick insights. We can parse our data and find what we need but that takes time. With Amplitude I can quickly go in and get and idea of something, or perform more involved analysis if I wish.
Ampitude as a Data Analytics and Data Visualization tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of putting dashboards together for incoming data and tools such as pathfinder. I use Segment to get data into Amplitude to analayse the data .
What do you dislike about the product?
The sessions were a little hassle as certain sessions weren't capturing the beginning and ending of a session correctly. The working of java sdk was also a bit troublesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Session tracking, user usage visualization and event tracking. I am putting dashboards together for incoming data and tools such as pathfinder and session tracking.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Very easy to use while more customizability is welcomed
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy and straightforward to create new graphs based on the data we send to Amplitude backend. The filter options are also very intuitive. Charts can also be conveniently saved and searched.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very easy to create derived columns to for example cluster values of a column.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use Amplitude Analytics to drill into user statistics when developing new features. The practice has helped us spend our resource wisely on the issues that matter the most to our users.
Easy to use Analytics for anybody

Hoe easy you can play and learn, without the feeling you can make mistakes
What do you dislike about the product?

Amplitude review
What do you like best about the product?
Ease creating charts, creating cohorts, on the fly ability to save, drilling down or tracing events in charts, design of charts
What do you dislike about the product?
No ability to customize a table with aggregation or make a more presentable tabular view
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building process funnels out of milestones, comparing cohorts, tracking consumption
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool for rapid analytics, delivers real value and saves from having to use traditional dashboarding tools to view results in a chart format
Amplitude is the holy grail for retention and usage reporting for SaaS
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user education regarding how to measure engagement and retention for SaaS. The filters are flexible for us to drill down in to every user action and the out of the box retention reports + lifecycle analysis beats google analytics or mixpanel or pendo alike.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there is a capability to retroactively track historical data for tagging implementation. This is one of the main reasons where Pendo wins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
understanding user retention and why users drop off
Carl Vellotti's Amplitude Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to make queries based on natural language. I rarely have a hard time figuring out how to do what I am trying to do.
It's also easy to share analysis with my teammates.
It's also easy to share analysis with my teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing that causes issues for my team is that we'll launch a feature and then be unable to build dashboards around them. Usually this is an issue from our setup with segment events, but it would be nice if there was some way we would see if the dashboards were going to work before the feature is actually live.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general, we are trying to figure out different aspects of user behavior, like click-through rate on specific buttons, or conversion through larger, more complex flows.
Detailed analytics, powerful visualizations, heavy implementation lift
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude offers a wide variety of formats for creating rich and easy-to-share data insights. All users on an Amplitude instance can share their work easily, and modifying a chart to explore a variable or dig deeper on a question is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not an engineer, but I understand that there is a heavy lift in getting Amplitude installed. All event tracking is manually implemented, so if there are events that you want to track in Amplitude, you have to configure the event before Amplitude will track anything for that event. I understand that some competitors have simplified this process, making it easier to explore the history of an event triggering without so much manual effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude to understand how users engage with some of our products and how we can better educate and help users. The main benefit is how quickly a chart can be created to analyze a specific usage pattern.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Implement some formal training for users on which events exist in your instance.
Top tool for product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to track at the group level vs user level is critical for us. The integration and SDKs are straightforward and well documented. Most of the charts and analysis tools are also intuitive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were auto-generated cohorts based on a start event, like signup. Right now we have to manually create the cohorts, which is inefficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Amplitude to track how our users are interacting with our product. It's been a great tool to help us improve our onboarding, retention and engagement.
