The best analytics platform I've used
What do you like best about the product?
This is the best analytics platform I've used. It is really easy to upload data, really easy to create charts, and provides good AI to help us make better decisions
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the software will take a while to upload with the latest data, or the site will go down. But overall we really like the platform and do not have many bad things to say
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to integrate all our data from various sources into one location, to provide executive level dashboards to help us make data driven decisions for our business

How easy it is to build cohorts. I use them all the time.

Some of the support docs aren't as intuitive as they should be
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to map user behaviors to analytics.
Great Analytics - can slice data any way imaginable.
What do you like best about the product?
The amount of data that can be expolored and viewed in a multitude of ways. We are able to build dashboards that are meaningful and custom to each team based on what they need to see, but without the tedious nature of building from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had data points that were not mapped or not mapped correctly so data was very unreliable and this resulted in people being unsure of the tool and the information coming out. This also was not known by team members so they were unsure of their ability to build within the tool. However, now that it is fixed (90%) we are seeing more usage and more reliable data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to troubleshoot integrations with the analytics as well as see pain points with our product. We also have been able to customize dashboards for customers so they are able to understand our products usage and benefit specifically related to their integration.
Expensive but fills a need
What do you like best about the product?
So easy to spin up event funnels. Way easier than writing SQL even for seasoned analysts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most advanced features like cohorts, pathing, etc. are not usable unless your team has very carefully governed what data is fired into Amplitude. And I have never seen an org that has had good governance in place around event data/taxonomy. Because most orgs onboarding Amplitude don't have the resourcing to govern their event data.

I dislike the lack of the a more custom mode

I would recomment Amplitude as easy to use tool for product managers
Great tool for analytics when you have a dedicated product analyst to help set-up/verify queries
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is great at helping visualize your events to help answer business questions. It's fairly intuitive and for deeper dives the product has great documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite it's straightforward UI, the actual database configuration of events and set-up is delicate. Without the right team of dedicated product analysts you may find yourself overwhelmed, swimming (or drowning) in a murky data lake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking at user visit and engagement data. Amplitude has helped us test product experiences, validate features, and dive deeper into how we can iteratively improve the experience.

Make sure you have a dedicated PA team to support!
Unique tool for analyze metrics for our products. We use it everywhere.
What do you like best about the product?
The integrations are easy to apply and maintain. We just added tiny codes to our projects and it's ready to use. That part is amazing to focus only on what is really needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way that events are shown in the dashboard isn't so great. I would like to group them in various section or create categories to be more organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gettings error events before they entered in support for exemplo. We also are using to be a data-driven company. Some of our decisions are based on metrics collected from Amplitude.

Sometimes it won't let me view events for longer than a week duration

Viewing user flows and behaviors, or breaking them down by buckets.

I like its query response times, which provide insights immediately. The UI is very self-explanatory, and you can pick it up very quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
The person-based ownership model might be somewhat restrictive - it can be useful to have teams as owners. Also, the dashboard creation UI can be slow or unresponsive.
Also, the /identify API is a bit tricky to nail down, so I would make the request structure much more similar to the HTTP API.

Understanding user behavior, gaining complex insights from compound metrics, and segmenting users based on a myriad of properties. Also, the visualization features are very helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am using Amplitude with multiple mobile apps. Whenever I start a new report I forget to change to the correct app and it takes me a few seconds to realize that I have to change that. I would like the current app selection to be more prominent.
