Amazing tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of the tool to get a lot of insights. It provides you a lot of clarity about product analytics, even though we are on the free plan I am amazed how complete it is.
I like the fact that you can create dashboards and boards with different insights for easy company digestion.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that when you are building a report there was an error indication telling you why the report can not be run, in red, so you can address the flaw in the logic of the report you are trying to get. This otherwise makes it a bit cryptic trying to figure out the data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving some quite crucial business questions and users behaviour:
- adoption rate
- Time to first usage
- user engagement (number of log ins)
- revenue made by our customers
- customers path (I wish there would be an additional path where you could see the features customers adopt along the path)
- customer churn

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend amplitude (coming from tableau) as an insightful and easy to set up tool with powerful charts and features to make data digestible and available.
I wish, though, some improvements were made to save time by running reports, such as indicating what the error is when there is a false parameter.

Using Amplitude Analytics as a Product Manager
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track the adoption of my features
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of templates results in a longer dashboards creation time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking user adoption, understanding where users are struggling
Intuitive and ready to go users analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use by non technical users. Additionally, if faster deployment
What do you dislike about the product?
Some limit for a technical user like a lack of write a code query (SQL or python) I hope we can get a sql editor that has access to the raw data. The other thing is that I need to go over devs to instrument my data tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understand our users behaviour m. For me it saves me time to market I don t have to build retention analysis from scratch
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you can instrument events by yourself, otherwise Amplitude won't be useful at all. if you depend on other team members, it might take time to start using Amplitude.
Good application, but would appreciate a better UI + simple organizational tools.
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the flexibility of the application. I can definitely analyze data in the way that I want, and create really interesting charts as long as I have the data that I've collected
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI feels a little blocky. I think a more intuitive UI would be a lot easier to use and also a lot more fun to use. Some simple organizational tools would be nice, such as a way to save different groupings of items (i.e., it's possible to create an event segmentation where one of the properties is the WHERE keyword, i.e. where some attribute equals some value. Many times, we want to save groupings of multiple values to quickly check/uncheck those groups of values instead of individually check each one)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the reach of our products and also understanding how customers move through our applications and where they might encounter problems.
Amplitude Analytics is an industry-leading solution for product analytics.
What do you like best about the product?
Data processing is very fast and reliable. The variety of charts available from the four basic charts (event segmentation, funnel, retention and user composition) to the advanced chart types (user sessions, personas, engagement matrix, pathfinder, stickiness, compass, lifecycle, revenue LTV and impact) is simply astounding. Segmenting users into cohorts based on their user properties and/or previous in-app behavior is super easy with the User Cohort function, further strengthened by integration with many other third-party tools. Amplitude Analytics also allows for organization-wide knowledge sharing, spreading insight and making data accessible to every member of the organization via Notebook, Dashboard and Team Spaces. The time to insight is dramatically reduced so that buying Amplitude Analytics is akin to purchasing a car - It's so much better and safer if you would simply buy a car instead of trying to build one up from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the product functions very well and has great features, it may be slightly expensive for small companies. Technical integration itself may be easily done via SDKs, but defining what data to collect and classifying into a workable data taxonomy can be difficult at times. However, these limitations are not only applicable to Ampltiude Analytics but also to the vast array of other B2B SaaS products that base themselves upon data collection for proper usage. Some functions are only provided as product extensiosn that require additional purchases to be made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can ask specific and sophisticated questions related to in-product user behavior and visualize charts almost instantly that previously would have taken weeks of back-and-forth communication with engineers or data analysts. I look at various charts from a number of companies using Amplitude every day, and the use cases include identifying their product's critical event, determining product usage interval, spotting trends in retention and user lifecycle. Furthermore, companies often map their user personas to comparea user engagment across different personas, almost always create real-time cohorts, finding inflection points, and running A/B tests to drive insight. Learning how the product functions and behind-the-scenes technical details
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Their user guide available online is very helpful, and customer support is highly professional and friendly at the same time. You can expect their customer success team to respond to your inquiries with technical expertise and a sincere willingness to help. You can always check out their free demo online, or even start using the free version right away on a scholarship plan if certain conditions are met.
Quick insights about user behaviour
What do you like best about the product?
Really helps understand your customers from different angles and behaviour data. Even non-technical users within the company (product managers, designers) have managed to do their analysis relatively quickly in Amplitude.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way dashboards and charts are organised is quite confusing. Charts are easy to discover if you built them yourself, not so much if someone else in the company built them. Exploration could be improved to avoid duplication of work. Analysis on the account-level on top of the user-level comes with extra cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general, we use Amplitude to understand how customers use different features in our CRM product. It helps us discover flaws in design or indicate needs for other product improvements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Perfect tool with amazing features, but I would advise bigger teams to agree on a set of dashboard saving rules and naming conventions to keep your output space clean.
Lots of functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and has a lot of modules present
What do you dislike about the product?
Very few video tutorials are available online
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Funnel Analyses & Lots of RCAs
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very useful tool to take quick decisions
A great tool to understand and visualize data
What do you like best about the product?
All the queries pretty much can be written by anyone, you don't need to know any particular language. If you have common sense and know the theories behind, you should be able to get the desired data in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
For multiple AB Testing, there is no quick shortcuts where things can be automated faster. For example you want to create multiple Test Notebook with similar charts, but you still need to go inside every chart and manually update the AB test names, you need to change dates manually. If we can standardize and create a template notebook where only the name of the test and dates will be changed and a new notebook can be created within no time, we product manager will have a lot of time in our hand to think about user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly AB Testing and creating realtime dashboard to see product health
Amplitude has been incredibly beneficial in extracting key consumer behaviour insights.
What do you like best about the product?
The different type of chart types available on Amplitude provide a greater understanding across all areas of the business. From funnel analysis to consumer retention rates, the platform allows us to create and shape our data into a usable form.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating a dashboard could be a bit more flexible. It would be good to attain more key metrics across time periods and use those to create a narrative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is helping us understand how consumers are interacting with our platform, thus allowing us to re-target our acquisition efforts in order to streamline our consumer funnel.
Very good software for your product and marketing analytics needs
What do you like best about the product?
To understand how my users are behaving on my product, it is quite useful. Its segmentation really helps us to explore and finding weak areas and improvemnts in my product. Funnel analysis can be easily done to find dropoffs and one can create user-paths to undestand user journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Many things like user paths & location maps can not be tracked on dashboards.
2. Dashboards are not as much user freindly to make.
3. Auto - Refresh window is 5 mins only, that too in TV mode.
