Must have for understanding your users
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Amplitude allows you to very quickly get insights on how users behave on your platform. I especially like that it is very intuitive how to pull data together, and I am never left in a situation where I'm thinking too hard to put together a chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I have to invite others all the time into Amplitude, just to show them an insight or give them the ability to pull insights. It would be ideal if it was set up in a way that everyone in an organization by default had some basic level of access, so they they didn't have to go through hoops when I'm just trying to share a single thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very time consuming, confusing, and inflexible to build the same charts in a BI tool as opposed to Amplitude. So Amplitude solves a core problem I have with traditional BI tools which is speed to insight. Also, although I am fluent in SQL, it is still helpful to me not having to write a lot of SQL because ultimately I'm just trying to get to useful insights.

The price is not clear, and it can be more transparent to new users

Problems like user retention, user funnel, and how to get more outcomes, and how to deliver more values to customer
Amplitude is awesome for analytics, but could improve dashboard creation

Real-time data without sampling. Learning the tool in general is very simple and fast so everyone can learn and use the tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
Creating chart with advanced filters is so hard, not every filter is inside of the chart page, some are inside of config. There's a lot of contexts to create some things that I think it's super dificult to understand, so I think it would help to have a simpler content.
Sadly, I really hate all about amplitude dashboards, we can't create a storytelling with data, can't create text, there's no personalization or way to divide subjects inside of the dashboard.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am analyzing user experience in real-time with amplitude analytics, and it's excellent for ours experiments.
The bigger benefit for me is that I can get my data and create charts, so in few minutes I have the answer that I was searching for. I can discover if the experience is good, if my conversion is getting better at that time or even if will drop with "anomaly + forecast".

What do you like best about the product?
I love the level of detail, flexibility and vision that Amplitude gives to product analytics.
I also love it allows me to generate cohorts and user segmentations that I can export to Ads and Email Marketing platforms.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it to directly integrate with FB Ads as a source (not just destination), of data.
I would like it to have an integration with Zapier to power it up more cost-efficiently (without so much need of developers)

Easy and flexible tool for product funnels and understanding user behavior
What do you like best about the product?
Drag and drop interface is very intuitive and quick to load, lots of different chart types to explore events, easy to click into a user and see their user journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's quick to create a new chart using all the default settings, there's a lot of custom parameters to set on segmenting or timeboxing your analysis that can significantly change your metrics and the conclusions you may draw.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making it very quick to do self-service data exploration and reporting.
Amplitude is a very good product. Their workers are also very nice!

Quick to respond, and it's a great product. Their customer success team was very helpful too!

I do not dislike anything. Amplitude is great!

I want to know more about the metrics that I need to solve. The benefit is that Amplitude provides seamless insights that I didn't know I could get.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude allows for very granular event tracking and has excellent visualization tools to view the data in a coherent, easy-to-understand manner. The in-depth customization options for data visualization are really great, enabling us to set up retention graphs, cohort analyses, conversion charts segmented by user attributes, and more. And the best part is that you don't need any technical or programming skills to do any of this, which has made it easy for anyone on our team to explore the data and derive useful insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some very sophisticated data visualizations/queries that can be performed using SQL are not possible in Amplitude. This is not a big deal, but there are times where I can't segment my data the way I want in Amplitude due to its limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude has helped our team get key insights into how users are using our product. Without any technical or programming skills, we can easily map out our usage funnel in Amplitude and see where users drop off and what parts of our product can be improved. We can also use Amplitude to map out our user retention charts and examine each cohort to measure our progress. Amplitude even allows us to look into the behaviour of individual users to see how they navigate our product and better understand their user journey. The end result is that Amplitude has helped our team operate more effectively, driving growth across the entire organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a powerful analytics platform that doesn't require technical or programming skills to navigate, Amplitude is the perfect solution for you.

What do you like best about the product?
Accurate and intuitive software. Funnel analysis is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the run time is slow, and events have unintuitive names. I realize that is on our team, but perhaps there's a better way to empower organizing/sorting.

Typically funnel analysis. Really helpful in understanding when/how folks drop off

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to learn to use, gives me access to so much data right at my fingertips. I appreciate how fast it loads compared to my other SaaS tools. It has so many different helpful kinds of charts and does so much with very little effort. The notebook feature makes it super easy to do a data analysis and present findings, dashboards are easy to get a peek at everything, and the workspace keeps track of every chart I make so I can go back to them. I find the user lookup very helpful for me to see my events and look at other users. I use amplitude almost every day to make decisions myself in product. I like that I can pull up data right when I'm on a call and see how something is performing. Amplitude is literally my favorite SaaS tool of the many I use as a Product Manager though and I'm pleased to be able to sing its praises.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no way to clear data easily from all your drop downs. So if there's a bug that sends a bunch of extra parameters with your events, that's there forever. You can manually hide that in the Govern tool but it's tedious. I also wish the user event feed was a little more real-time. Sometimes I'm trying to track down an event sequence and I'm waiting for Amplitude to tell me which event I've just triggered for a few minutes. Another minor issue is that its hard to keep charts organized. I make so many sometimes with only small differences from each other. I would like to be able to organize them in folders or add tags somehow. I mainly just end up throwing a lot of stuff on the dashboards so I can find it again more than because I need to monitor on a regular basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everyone uses it to monitor releases, read A/B test data, track down user complaints, measure our onboarding funnels... so much. Pathinder is an especially useful tool because we can use it to find out where users ARE going when they aren't behaving as expected. I recently used funnels and pathfinder to identify some technical problems with our onboarding not always behaving as expected. The dev team was able to hone in on that and we improved conversion through the intended sequence. Amplitude also makes it very easy to see that improvement by segmenting by version. We even have customer support using it to help us identify exactly where specific users have problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have data and want more folks in your organization to be able to easily access and analyze from it, Amplitude is great

Amplitude has great analytics module and very easy to use non-technical audience. The best part of all is great amplitude support, I love them!!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
some analytics modules can be overwhelming to people at first glance, wish amplitude can provide more out of box standard dashboard template across industries
