A Great Product Analytics Tool!

  • August 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cohort creation and analysis are excellent for creating a baseline across charts so cohort definitions can be re-used and standardized across charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one-dimensionality in each chart makes it hard to determine relationships across different dimensions of product analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our product team, we try to assess our weekly active users and what events lead to their stickiness. Based on overall activity and activity per feature user, we can prioritize which features to push to the forefront of our product backlog.

Highly recommended robust analytics tool in the market

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that it's effortless to build charts, funnels, and segments on Amplitude. Also, it's intuitive. One can create user-cohorts to see behavior over time.

Things that I love about Amplitude:
1. You can try it for free on your project
2. Super easy-to-use UX
3. We can change the charts shown according to the changes in data
4. Sharing is straightforward with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are significantly less things that I dislike about Amplitude:
1. You can't build a segment based on event property, it sometimes becomes a blocker as everything can't be stored as a user property
2. There is a limit to the number of group-by you can do with user-properties
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. We are trying to identify the funnel drop-offs in onboarding flow and solve for that.
2. Also to build a view on the user persona based on their behavior.
3. Trying to find the Aha! Moment for the users, and double down on that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
go for it!

Amplitude has been super intuitive and powerful in understanding user behavior and defining cohorts.

What do you like best about the product?
It is super helpful in understanding user behavior and identifying areas of improvement in the website/app.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like if there was a way to determine the attributes to export for cohorts defined. Currently, the files are large due to the many attributes being extracted. For example, it would be helpful to extract only user IDs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Amplitude Analytics to identify areas of use drop-off in the app which allows for us to quantify and prioritize our efforts on app improvements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you have a clear problem identification process in order to identify the important attributes in Amplitude.

Easy to create any chart in just a few seconds.
Very flexible in terms of visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Do not have a lot to complain about.....
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding problems in the existing product by analyzing drops in funnels.
Checking how certain feature are being used by users.

What do you like best about the product?
Exploratory analysis. It allows me to be curious and dig deep to be infinitely curious. The way I can create audiences and understand how experiments impact the entire user experience is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Visualizations in dashboards are limited. I know Amplitude is not a visualization tool, but often I share the charts they create with larger audiences. I wish there were more flexibility in how I could present findings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run a lot of A/B tests, and Amplitude helps me 1) identify areas in the product that are worth testing (the leverage points), and 2) measure the impact of experiments. Amplitude makes the later so easy & powerful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it. Everyone I know that switched onto it loves it—best in class.

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude is fast and can cover use-cases that are cross-functional
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit pricey, and limiting data count can reduce the level of insights
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like to make sure tracking is done correctly, as well as quick data pulls that would take longer to do querying the data warehouse

Amplitude, your best friend to create awesome products.

What do you like best about the product?
You can measure everything and the cost of implementation is almost none.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard tool is really narrow, you can't create titles, you can't compare numbers, and it should be a key feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First of all, it helps me to know if everything on my product is ok. Second, a/b testings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't use too much effort on the templatization of the taxonomy, just create tons of events. After that, you will understand its power and iterate.

Can't ask for anything better

What do you like best about the product?
Over the years, Amplitude has evolved to become a very easy-to-use product analytics tool. They are moving towards having everything in one place; it makes our jobs as product analysts and product managers much easier!
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick something, I'd have to be very picky, to be honest. The only thing I think needs to evolve, according to how the other features have become, is the Data Governance feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most potent benefit that I realized is that every person in the organization can create their insights. That's huge because it helps move the company faster and reduces dependencies.

The problem that I'm trying to solve with Amplitude is how I can deliver the best user experience through understanding how users behave.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid to mess up at first. Think of it as an iterative process of continuous learning!

    Consumer Goods

Really enjoying this analytics tool

What do you like best about the product?
Works fast, easy to breakdown by user segmentation vs. events segmentation. Formula is also a good feature
What do you dislike about the product?
UX is kinda messy and all over the place. Lots of features I don't use and require a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking A/B Test results, breakdown of our sales, comparing funnels and more.

    Logistics and Supply Chain

Lots of data/easy to self-serve

What do you like best about the product?
Any team, even outside analytics, can create views
What do you dislike about the product?
Not helpful to see the organization's metrics to choose from (when creating tables) and chartio definitions are unclear
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting on new product
