Granular Insights, Needs Easier Usability

  • August 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Amplitude Analytics allows us to slice and dice data from days to months, giving us the ability to see user interactions on a day-to-day basis. The capability to get really granular into the data is something that really helps us. Being able to check granular details such as when users might drop off or when they are most engaged helps us understand the psyche of our users. It enables us to correlate user interactions with specific times or days, which is tremendously beneficial for tailoring our strategies. This granularity in detailing helps us identify where customers might face challenges, providing critical insights into their journey. Overall, the depth of analytics that Amplitude Analytics offers enables us to make better-informed decisions and understand the effectiveness of features across different platforms, whether on desktop or mobile, ensuring that we can optimize our offerings to better meet customer needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there is a bit of a learning curve with Amplitude Analytics. It's not a very self-explanatory platform. Every time I've needed to use it, I've had to rely on either a project manager or my manager to help me understand the data or user behavior. It would be beneficial if the platform were more user-friendly and self-explanatory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track feature effectiveness, gauge user engagement, and understand user behavior for targeted improvements, which enhances product offerings and user satisfaction.

Amplitude Analytics makes making decisions so much easier

  • August 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how self-service the tool is. You really can figure it out just by using it. They also provide in-depth trainings in their Academy which make it very easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you misname events or don't set things up properly from the start, it can turn into a headache later on. You really need to set rigorous rules for onboarding onto the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analytics is making it easier for our Product Managers to self-serve their own data needs, without having to rely on their Analytics team counterparts. It's making visualization a breeze.

Amplitude makes marketing analytics easy

  • August 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to navigate, understand, and find what you're looking for. Anyone can jump-in and start filtering. And, for the advanced use cases, the documentation and customer engagement/support are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some very advanced use cases and niche topics are difficult or could be improved, but that's also because hard problems like device stitching and session definition are, well, hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us identify what's working, what's not, and allows us to dive into areas where we're uncertain with event tagging and analytics!

Great product analytics tool with a powerful free version

  • August 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We're just getting started with product analytics. We're not ready to upgrade yet, so we're using the free version, but it's already powerful enough to help us gain critical insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing could be a bit cheaper, but if you want to drive the Ferrari, you gotta pay for it. And the product is obviously great. The fact that account-level tracking is an extra add-on is a bit annoying, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to start tracking adoption and retentio for the features we ship. Both on web and mobile. In addition, we needed to set up a clear event tracking taxonomy. With Amplitudes data dictionary and planning process we were able to clean up and standardize our event tracking. And with just a handful of events (2-3 per feature) we were already able to gain very interesting insights into the adoption of newly shipped features.

Product Designer with Amplitude

  • August 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Quite easy to use once you understand it, variety of charts
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have number of misclicks, some heatmap and session recordings. This case everything needed would be in 1 place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We define our KPIs like conversion rate or time to convert which then can be analyzed with Amplitude.

Amplitude is an effective framework to test and track analytics.

  • August 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can have a clear overview of analytic events and their respective user properties. Its very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about amplitude is we can't extend any features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can get a complete overview of the all logged events and in case if anything goes wrong in the app, I can go around and check for the concerned event and trace out the issue.

Amplitude for FordPass — fast, intuitive customer-journey analytics

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use & Dashboard: The UI is clean and makes exploring funnels, paths, and cohorts straightforward — non-technical PMs use it confidently.
Frequency of Use & Data Freshness: We rely on Amplitude daily for FordPass insights; data updates quickly which speeds decision cycles.
Implementation & Integration: Implementation for our mobile app was straightforward and the SDKs/integrations were easy to work with for our existing stack.
Feature Set: Amplitude offers the features we need (funnels, retention, cohorts, dashboards) so we can centralize most product analytics in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning Curve & Advanced Use: Building complex behavioral queries and managing event taxonomy can require time and expertise.
Pricing & Event Volume: Costs scale with event volume, which can become a concern for large-scale telemetry.
Edge-case Integrations: Most integrations are smooth, but some bespoke or legacy systems required custom ETL and extra engineering time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude gives us clear, event-level visibility into how users move through FordPass (funnels, paths, cohorts), reduces reliance on engineering for routine analysis, and shortens the feedback loop by delivering near-real-time data. It also centralizes product metrics so teams aren’t chasing multiple dashboards or ad-hoc SQL queries.

Analytics with alerting

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Amplitude allows us to easily create funnels and segments, and most importantly, set up alerts to track key changes in our metrics. I also find the Experiments feature particularly valuable, as it enables us to run controlled tests on new features and make data-driven decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes alert emails received little delay which can be prompt immediately
For large historical data funnel takes long time to populate and sometimes page not rendered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us understand daily user behavior, particularly identifying where users drop off by analyzing funnels. We can create segments to trace user journeys, which is extremely useful for debugging and resolving issues quickly. Additionally, the A/B experimentation feature allows us to test new features effectively and make informed decisions on improvements based on real user data.
