AA is Essential to Understanding Your Customers' Journey
What do you like best about the product?
Insights, not just information, can be discovered to help determine the effectiveness of the journey we are creating for our new users, experienced users and those in between. Trends over very long periods of time as well as near real-time can be viewed immediately, but more importantly, exporting is allowed to standard CSV formats for further analysis and more complex visualizations. User funnel analysis and segment analysis built-ins help us to quickly see conversion rates of small initiatives of a few steps and those having many more steps. With the right privileges outreaches via email can be built from any intermediate cohorts to put users back on track with further personalized instructions, for example.
What do you dislike about the product?
Given so many parameters being tracked, it can be difficult to find the 'right' ones to use for any given experiment. I appreciate having a way to sort these somehow into logical groupings and then limit the search space to only those groupings vs. showing a l o n g list of parameters from which to choose.
Linking dynamically kept opt-out list anonymously to cohorts and allowing mailings to those who did not opt out with GDPR compliance no matter what cohort was created would reduce manual list culling and export to other tools. This could be a problem I'm seeing due to my company's policies.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Amplitude to help us understand whether our users are following the journey as we designed it and intended them to or if they are somehow missing steps we expected them to be taking to get the maximum value from the experience we created. We are also using Amplitude to help us understand and verify conversion rates for different cohorts of users. One funnel can be created and various cohorts can be fed through it to see what might appeal to different customer sets given their varying experience and other characteristics.
Great tool but relies on solid instrumentation, internal documentation, and use case identification
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent integration with other tools!
It's easy to collaborate with colleagues but also have your own reports to explore.
For the features, the usability is impressive. It accounts for all types of users -- consumers of analytics (lite and heavy), contributors (lite and heavy), and architects and administrators. There are various ways to control read or write access.
It's very easy to explore on the "property" level.
Event-centric approach lets you explore on user-level and account-level metrics which can be very powerful. I've worked with other platforms that are object-centric which may not scale as well as Amplitude's approach.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, Amplitude will look like "the issue" but the problem may lie somewhere else (e.g. structure of data being fed in; unruly shared spaces with colleagues, lack of a standard definitions of a KPI or internal documentation). Sometimes Amplitude is the issue. It can be hard to reuse dashboards for standardized approaches because of read/write access. It's easy to create a disorganized space. There are some nuances in reporting options that I still have a hard time explaining to people, which means they're not entirely clear to me. These are report options that could have a big impact on how you read and understand the use of the product.
Dashboards can get big if you don't want to go in and change views on reports often.
For as much as I use Amplitude, I am often not comfortable sharing data as some objective reflection of behaviors.
Some new features are great but still in the progress of being as useful as possible. The Historical account is great but you can't look at "not first time visit" which seems like a useful filter.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far, the biggest impact has been in checking behaviors, finding unexpected volumes or paths and drilling down to build hypotheses on what's going on. The pattern has been: build some basic dashboards, review those often, find anomalies, drill in, and put together a notebook on the features of the unexpected behavior. Amplitude is great at containing that full exploration within its platform to the end product of sharing the insights with stakeholders using the Notebooks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Invest in your documentation and implementation, in templates, and in defining workflows that can be shared across teams. All of this makes your insights more solid and takes a lot of effort out of the experience.
Cool realtime analytic viewing
What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can create custom dashboards and also view graphs in different ways (line/bar etc). Also like the unique/event totals when viewing the graphs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search bar looks a bit daunting and the first time I used the website, it was a bit hard to navigate. Same with when you choose events/performed by it can be scary to use if it's your first time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing how impactful the work we create. It's cool to track engagements we actually have and can see if a feature we release is actually being used.
Amplitude is a helpful tool for seeing your product's clickstream metrics.
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude has a conversational interface that makes it easy to visualize what you're asking it to display. It's easy to pick up the basics. It's fairly intuitive to understand and if your product has thorough instrumentation, you can pretty much figure out exactly what you want to know, or test into it. It's easy to share and teach.
What do you dislike about the product?
At least for our implementation, there is not a way to view metrics across platforms. So for example, you have to create 3 duplicate charts to see your clickstream data for iOS, Android, and web, rather than being able to put all 3 on the same chart. There is also not really instruction for how to use the different chart types or segments, etc. I have to rely on googling or internal knowledge rather than having instructions available in product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently use it to track usage metrics, the actions users take in our product, retention, user paths, offer conversion, and to monitor A/B tests. The dashboards are easy to share, understand, and copy for small edits.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's easier to use than Adobe Analytics, easy to teach and pick up quickly. However beyond the basics it's not as intuitive. It's best to have an internal team member who knows the "tricks" rather than trying to pick it all up by yourself.
Very pleasing experience
What do you like best about the product?
Visually looking good, very easy to cut data in different dimensions
What do you dislike about the product?
None so far, haven't got any problem using it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking user engagement
It is good, but as a data analyst, I believe I have more freedom with SQL
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user journey feature and the predictive cohorting. I believe it is a good tool for understanding how customers use an app, and for further app/ website development.
I also really like how responsive the Amplitude team is to suggestions/ questions, and how the team is committed to improving the product.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. You can't join tables at all. I think having that freedom is essential for any comprehensive analysis
2. You are stuck with how Amplitude handles revenue events (which isn't always correct)
3. You can't build your own models on Amplitude. If the goal of the tool is to replace data scientists, I don't think it is there yet.
4. You can't add cohorts to the notebooks

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using Amplitude to improve our marketing program. We also use Amplitude to improve our application, give suggestions to our digital team and more.
The customer journey is great to see how users use the application. This is by far my favorite feature.
It's easy and intuitive to use. I like how we can find instructions/ detailed explanations for how every single feature of the tool works and how it was created.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The tool gives you a lot of insight. It requires a well structured database to receive data from. However, it is not very flexible and you can't manipulate your tables at will.
Amplitude Review
What do you like best about the product?
Presentation and various cohorts shown to the user
What do you dislike about the product?
Less customisations in terms of keeping user data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting customer empathy with customer data focus.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, i will highly do the recommendation
Great tool that allows for deep customizations, and simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use - for example, creating funnel analysis charts is very intuitive, and insightful.
My favorite part is how deep you can customize Event Segmentation charts. Not only can you dig deep into the event attributes and create highly valuable, customized charts, but it's so easy to set these sorts of charts up.
For being a user of ~2 months, I'd have to say this is one of the only tools like this that I've ramped up this quickly on.

What do you dislike about the product?
Once you have a lot of events stored in your Amplitude (millions of events), it can load charts a little slowly. It's fine, it's not a dealbreaker, but maybe something for the engineering team to think about - I've seen charts load upwards of 2-3 minutes before (depending on the size of the data that needs to be loaded)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Digging into user behaviors to validate product decisions, mostly. I've realized that we get very accurate insights from this tool, so it's extremely reliable.
Great tool, with continual enhancements
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and very easy to understand
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the tool isn't as flexible or has specific themes that don't help out. Customizing reports would be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring overall sales impact, and real time monitoring of performance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand your use case and make sure your data is clean and ready
Flexible and powerful, and yet easy to onboard new people into it
What do you like best about the product?
- The amount of pre-baked charts
- The ability to create custom formulas for advanced charts
- How fast everything computes, even when dealing with long time periods
- The concept of cohorts, which makes it pretty easy to look at different segments of users on your existing charts

What do you dislike about the product?
I wished it offered a SQL-like format for even more advanced/specific use cases
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Amplitude for all of our product analyses, such as traction, engagement, and how the product is being used. It helps us to quickly validate features and inform product direction.
