What do you like best about the product?
What do you dislike about the product?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I modelli predefiniti rendono più facile per iniziare e fornire alcuni esempi di studio, ma questa non è un'applicazione plug n play quindi è necessario leggere almeno la knowledge base ufficiale o manuali appositi per la versione in uso.

Poorly documented and complicated for the network but perfect for SNMP systems and hosts!
What do you like best about the product?
We installed Zabbix almost two months ago. I heard from a friend who works in a web company as a Linux systems admin. Very simple installation, you can find many documents on the official site and web. But the configuration is a bit complicated for a network guy. I am a network engineer and it is a system monitoring tool. My friend tells me it is better for monitoring systems, but in my opinion, if you want network monitoring, you can use different software.
What do you dislike about the product?
My experience with Zabbix has been perfect, so nothing to complain about except the absence of a truly comprehensive manual for the deployment and initial configuration of the long-term supported and updated version 4.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our servers were in Zabbix, as we have a lot of e-commerce sites, we need to monitor to avoid any issues on the site and lose our sales, so Zabbix helped us a lot to always see it and quickly resolve any problem that it shows us, also through alerts on Telegram or on modern chats configured on our smartphones for paging functionality.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it to have everything protected, so you can always see what is happening with your link, then everything will be under control with a good monitoring team, better to spend time setting up a monitoring system rather than having to restore clusters and hosts after various disasters and crashes.

API completely open, documented, and practically integrable with any language, perfect!
What do you like best about the product?
We have used Zabbix for several years across multiple data centers. In the initial phase, the monitoring capability solved some problems for us. Over the years, it has scaled very well, and we regularly monitor thousands of virtual machines with hundreds of monitored items each. The API works quite well, and we have been able to write very useful automation within it. We monitor our most important servers with Zabbix, and it works very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably we would limit the default length for new story elements. At the beginning, we had scaling issues because we had so much history to move.
The web user interface in earlier versions is not very nice. It is improving, but it is a couple of versions behind.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through the APIs, we were able to integrate a Telegram bot and a WhatsApp bot capable of notifying the appropriate people and teams for each type of problem or alert arising from more or less critical resources. The alerting is immediate and can include both graphs and histograms, as well as detailed texts of errors, issues, and timestamps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The learning of the API has been useful for creating very specific automation and dashboards. I would recommend learning the API early to fully realize its advantages as it is possible to query the values of Zabbix, alerts, alarms, and triggers with the simplicity of a GET call or a POST request with both XML and JSON output.

Absolutely economical, and the free open-source version already allows for complete monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
Adapting it to your environment and personalizing it also takes a bit of time, but in the end, it is something that will help you save yourself from device-by-device control. My experience has been very positive, I have used many monitoring tools that were also good, but this is the one that convinced me the most. It takes time for implementation but it is understood that it is a free tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes patience and time to adjust the trigger so that it only shows the problems that actually exist in the infrastructures, but once it is adapted to one's needs, it becomes an ally in being aware of resources and being able to react in time. When a problem arises with the tool, there aren't many forums, and it requires investing time in finding the solution. In almost a year and a half that I've had the tool, I've only had the monitoring stop for a few hours because the service was interrupted; I found the cause by searching in the forums and was able to solve the problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I implemented the device with Ubuntu and if you follow the manual for installation it is simple. It is possible to add a variety of monitoring resources and the triggers can be customized according to your needs. The dashboard gives you a very broad view of all the computer's resources and gives you the ability to prioritize more efficiently. You can create your own maps, review detailed resource graphs, create macros, and view online information of all devices. In general, it is a very useful tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The support tickets sound expensive if you purchase some starter packs, so an Enterprise package is always advisable if it is necessary for its implementation to the complete infrastructure of a large organization.

Proactive alerting is always essential, Zabbix helps to achieve it fully.
What do you like best about the product?
For my team, it turned out to be a performant and optimal monitoring tool based on the solid Linux kernel, free and open source with an effective dashboard. Implementation of new hosts, items, and triggers is quite simple, a complete web-based tool (I assume PHP) with ease of adding hosts that need to be monitored on a single configuration web browser but with multiuser support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Paid support and the community is not very active as of today, the knowledge base guides are available but for previous versions and not for version 4 LTS.
Difficulty in creating objects and, moreover, monitoring Windows Hypervisor is difficult compared to monitoring other open-source virtualization servers like Proxmox or OpenStack.
The predefined charts selectable in the non-enterprise version are inferior compared to other monitoring tools.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Zabbix, my team responsible for software-defined networking can fully and quickly know in real-time the entire state of the logical controller behind the applied networking configurations, allowing them to detect and resolve potential issues related to latencies or high CPU loads, which are often frequent in SDN systems during the processing of routing and switching information with a high number of entries, saving a lot of time in debugging and resolving fatal crashes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Integrate with Bash scripting or Python rather than buying very expensive and less customizable templates, open source is increasingly scalable and migratable in the future towards different services.
