An amazing and open source tool to monitoring your Infrastructure and Business

What do you like best about the product?
The evolution of the tool and his community are, for me, the astonishing features about it that I really like about this tool.

In term of features, there is a great range of possibilities to monitor you network but the killer feature for me is the possibility of acting pro-actively in a automated form trough actions and let the app managers or even the final users visualize information about their applications and have some sort of interaction with them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Web Interface is very useful for administrators, but if you really need a good solution to create and provide some insightful reports, then you going to need a third party application (like grafana and others); Zabbix Interface is limited in this field.

Another point, in terms of a enterprise solution is: the WebInterface doesn't support authorization plugins or even authorization using a LDAP database (e.g); in this point, you can use LDAP or HTTP (Kerberos, Winbind and other authentication methods enters in this room) to authenticate a user but not to authorize, which is not so suitable for enterprise environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm working with this tool for 5 years now and I solved different kind of problems: DataCenter IT monitoring, Business monitoring and some integration with Enterprise apps as Well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a tool have a great possibilities of integration, supports both Unixes and Windows, integrating a great range of features, like VMWare Monitoring Support, JMX Monitoring, SNMP, Agent Monitoring and customization/integration in the side of clients then, this solution can be for you.

In the integration part, I'll recommend some sort of Bash/PowerShell (or Python :D) knowledge and in the part of the administration of the application a good set of Linux or Unixes skills is recommended and good skills to maintain a healthy database can be very good as well.

Zabbix is an amazing free monitoring solution

What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is highly configurable and I've found it very useful both personally and professionally. While Nagios is usually the gold standard of Linux monitoring, Zabbix basically includes all of the features of Nagios along with a a free web interface as well as built-in graphs! The ability to graph any and all data imaginable from Zabbix is definitely my favorite feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Zabbix is an amazing application, I believe that it would be beneficial if there were additional agent-less features that allowed simpler monitoring of servers or even URLs without installing and configuring the Zabbix agent software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have stream-lined alerting and reporting of problem situations by having Zabbix report errors to Slack automatically. I created a custom integration script for Zabbix that I've called "zabbix-slack-alertscript" and made freely publicly available:
