Simple, Secure, and Reliable Cloud Storage with Excellent Collaboration Tools

  • July 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox makes file storage, syncing, and sharing incredibly easy across devices. The clean interface and drag-and-drop functionality are intuitive for any user, regardless of technical skill. I especially like the smart sync feature, which lets you access files from your desktop without taking up local storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Dropbox is excellent at what it does, the free plan is limited in storage compared to some competitors. Also, if you're part of multiple Dropbox teams or accounts, switching between them isn't always seamless. Lastly, deeper integrations with some third-party productivity tools could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps us store, organize, and share large files securely with clients and teammates. It eliminates the need for email attachments and enables real-time collaboration on documents with version history and commenting. It also acts as a cloud backup, ensuring our files are safe and accessible from any device, anywhere. This improves workflow efficiency and reduces file management headaches.

Simple and Effective, But Could Offer More

What do you like best about the product?
I like how effortless it is to store and access my files across different devices. It just works. Sharing is super easy too, and the syncing process is smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free storage feels a bit limited, especially if you have a lot of files. It’s also a little pricey if you want to upgrade, especially when there are other options out there with more storage for less. Would be nice to see a bit more value for the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has truly made my life much easier. I save all of my important documents in one location and can access them from any device, whether I'm at home, at work, or traveling. It's a great relief not to have to worry about missing or not having access to stuff when I need them. What I really like is how easy it is to exchange files with others. Everything remains orderly, and I don't have to worry about misplaced files. It simply works, and I know everything will be available when I need it.

Can't imagine running my business without it

  • July 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Been using Dropbox for about 7-8 years across my business, and it's one of those tools I rarely think about - which is exactly what you want from cloud storage.

The sync speed is what keeps me here. Files update instantly across my phone, laptop, and any device I'm working on. When I'm collaborating with others, everyone sees the latest version in real time.

The version history feature has saved me multiple times. I've accidentally deleted sections of Excel files, saved them, and only realized days or even weeks later. Being able to roll back to previous versions is incredibly valuable when you're dealing with important business documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
They keep pushing additional features and services through pop-ups and notifications. I get it from a business perspective, but I just want reliable storage. The constant reminders about other tools I don't need can be distracting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud storage and file organization.

What do you like best about the product?
easy to navigate and manage files and secure file sharing
What do you dislike about the product?
storage space inadequate and its premium plans are expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
users relied on multiple storage devices, email attachments, or complex network setups to manage their files, leading to disorganization and difficulty accessing files from different locations.

now they provide a central cloud storage location where users can store, access, and manage all their files.

What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive and easy to use. It's been one of my favorite tools to send documents to my clients who has restrictive access to WeTransfer or Google Drive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe that you only have 2GB on free version, but it's a business, I understand this cannot be free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can send documents to my clients who have restrictive access to another tools like WeTransfer or has difficult access to Google Drive, since they are a Microsoft Teams users.

Dropbox is the first and only service I have payed in 22 years of research and development.

What do you like best about the product?
I think the seamless file sharing support that dropbox between Linux MacOS and Windows.

Since I started using dropbox I never lost a file that I was working at. That by itself is worth the yearly dropbox fee.

I also like that you can bring back files erased by mistake.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the file sync can take really long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use github for software management. I guess as all the rest of the world.
git commit and push can help keeping versioning and backup of your files, however, sometimes when working locally, the seamless file saving to the cloud is a real saver.

If you by mistake erase the file, you can bring it back based on date and time.
If you are working in documents, excel sheets or something else than software development, dropbox is a very good tool to keep versioning of your file and a safe backup in the cloud.

Easiest way to transfer data between clients

  • July 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is the most efficient way to share deliverables sized over 25 MG. Its much more efficient and has better optics when the files upload instantly instead of being to large to gmail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all clients have an account. As a result, there is the akward step of asking them to download so that we can file share
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is solving the frustrations incurred when sending clients large deliverables. Prior to drop box, there were many cases where the files we attempted to share with a client were too large, therefor we encountered uncomfortable delays. The initial solutions - generating a google file and sharing with the client had far to many issues, as a result we shifted to dropbox.
