Long-term storage - legacy digital assets
What do you like best about the product?
I love how you can automatically synch photos from phone to Dropbox using the app. And that allows you to free up space on your phone. I also like having the desktop app on my computer, which allows access to important files, without having to save them locally. This makes finding important information very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to pay for a longer time period. I would like a lifetime subscription which can be shared to my kids as a way of having photos and important documents pass to future generations. As it is now, it seems like you can only pay one year at a time, and I always worry about my credit card being expired and missing a notification for renewal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File sharing, data backup, photo storage.

Once it is set up, it simply works in the background.

Setting it up initially can be a bit of a challenge -- and if it ever stops working, you may not know it right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup of all my stored files and the ability to see everything on all my devices.

I like that its very easy to share and collaborate on projects and that the download speed is much faster than other service.

I don't like that you cannot change the appearance of the folders in Dropbox and change them to different colors. I think this would be very useful.

I love that I can access my files I store in Dropbox from all my devices (Mac is x, windows, Linux,, android and iPad os).
And it just works in all but the iPad -where I find apples files app is just a little harder to use with Dropbox than android (but does work most time)
I also love the android Dropbox pdf app because it has the save to Dropbox button that I use to quickly store on my Dropbox area and then easily sync and open on my boox ereader after downloading a pdf and opening it on my android phone.

What do you dislike about the product?
As I mentioned, iOS files app Dropbox support is little hard to use - I find it hard to select only some folders to sync using iPad.
Also sometimes on windows I get pdf corrupted error of file isn't synced or the folder path on Dropbox is too long.

The upside is Dropbox benefits business very much and makes things easy with easy api to integrate with our business

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox works with all of my devices. The app for both Mac and Windows is easy to use, and I can access my files on my phone and tablet.

The browsing interface on the mobile clients could be improved. It's a little too hard to browse by folder name.

Can be accessed everywhere and on multiple devices

I don't like the new feature when I open up an excel workbook it makes me take an additional step to open it in excel for the web in order to make edit. Previously I could simply open it and edit it immediately without the additional step.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple users can access the folders and files simultaneously. And cloud based means the information is always updated from when the last users edit.
Great Product - Need more storage
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to organzie and share! I love that it just shows up in my finder window like other files. It is great that everyone shared on the folder can modify documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little storage. Trying to use it with other teachers at school to share documents for shared classes and there is very limited storage. To pay for storage, the prices are a little steep. Would like a more affordable option to buy more storage.

I like the fact that all my phone photos automatically are uploaded without me having to do anything and that I can easily access them from my computer where I can then move them into the folders that they need to go into.
I also love the fact that even my mom is able to take photos and then upload them on her computer super easily even though she's not super Sharp when it comes to using a computer.

It is easy for me to share files with other parts of my team as soon as I get home and they can access them later that same day instead of me physically having to go to them with an SD card or USB
