Impressed by Dropbox after years of Google Drive & iCloud

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy the file sync is & how Dropbox is added as a drive on your desktop/laptop
What do you dislike about the product?
The sharing interface is not amazing, switching content between accounts can be a pain. Ex: I had someone create a shared folder for me under one email address, but I wanted it under a different email/account. I had to download the folder's contents & re-upload them into the other account's folder
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing content with clients I work with. Especially those who aren't tech-savvy. This is easier than downloading a file, then uploading to Google Drive. It just syncs to the shared DropBox folder.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing is Dropbox for Mac. Being able to have all of my files on my Mac is handy as can be.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface can be a bit daunting. Lots to sift through.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File access across multiple devices. I don't always have my laptop handy, so having file access wherever I might need it is important.

Reliable Cloud Storage

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to upload photos or documents to its cloud storage. There's a mobile app and the user's contents can be accessed on their computer or remotely online.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use Dropbox heavily for moving photos to other sources (i.e. Amazon Photos, my external hard-drive). Yet if I were to save images/documents to Dropbox, I'm not able to download them directly onto my mobile. That makes it difficult for me to share photos/docs with other people who don't use Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of transporting photos/docs to other cloud storage and ability to access photos/docs from anywhere/any device. I'm able to share my files with/through other sources easier.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to navigate, manage files and so on.

The base storage is way too small for a free plan. Compared to other competitors, I think that's kinda sad. Otherwise I'd be using Dropbox more often.
