Dropbox is a Data treasure

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am using this for more than 3 years and it is real secure, easily accessible through authenticated web accounts on android and windows platform and gives seamless experience to manage data securely and much better than other platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
the other user shared folder space gets occupied with the existing space and reduces the total capacity thereby limiting the accessibility and speed while accessing shared data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is not known to me

Excellent

What do you like best about the product?
Was one of the very first platforms to cloud save, and being an early adopter was a great way for me to get extra GB
What do you dislike about the product?
Very cheap and low to artificially limit the number of connected devices when on a free plan, which is like lifting a middle finger to the early adopters who supported them and got the popular. With my 25GB of storage I have no use for a paid plan, but I can only have Dropbox on 3 devices, which is totally moronic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi device usage

Ease of use and variety of options

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it is accessible anywhere in just a click. I have used Dropbox since many years as an educator and administrator. The ease of use is a major pull for me. I use the native app on windows to upload my files. When on the move I use the app on my phone or the website to access my files.
As an educator I used to prepare multiple resources at home and take then on a pen drive to school, with drop box I eliminated the use of a pen drive completely. It was just upload and download. The other thing I like is the 30 day storage of the versions of my documents. I generously reveived a lot of storage space from Dropbox initially and have been using it since.
What do you dislike about the product?
The paid plans are a little steep for my use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Elemenating the need to carry any physical storage.
Access from everywhere.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and share. I use it every day primarily for business use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I share a document or file, the person I am sharing with can't receive it because they may have a free Dropbox account and have exceeded their data and Dropbox won't share.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My business entails mounds of documets that need to be organized and shared and Dropbox helps with that. I can access the documents anywhere, which has been a huge benefit.

Dropbox: An Easy to Use File Sharing and Storing Service

  • March 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My three favorite things about Dropbox: 1) Ease of sharing large files for a 32-page print magazine that I edit for the all-volunteer Washington Blues Society, 2) Help screens are accessible and easy to follow, and 3) Technical support, while rarely used, is responsive and clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I'm invited to view a file to my personal AOL (yes, I'm old) email address. It takes me a few extra steps to transfer this invitation to my Washington Blues Society nonprofit email address. Overall, Dropbox is my file sharing service and I rely on it 99% of the time I need to send or receive large files for our blues society's Bluesletter magazine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files for 19th century print magazine publishing technology.
