Feels Like a Complete Productivity Suite, Not Just Storage
What do you like best about the product?
It’s not just storage—it feels like a complete productivity suite.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s no direct startup-dedicated pricing or program for founders and early-stage companies. As a founder myself, I feel I can manage most of my storage infrastructure with Dropbox, aside from other basic IT infrastructure like SMTP, hosting, etc. However, if third-party integrations geared toward early-stage founders were built, it could become a truly all-hands-on startup tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, all my app backups—like Web3 wallets, WhatsApp, and others—are stored on Dropbox. In the past, I’ve also managed to use sponsorships via Microsoft, and during my early days as a founder I had solid storage and backup support from Dropbox.

Effortless File Syncing Across Devices
What do you like best about the product?
File syncing works effortlessly: add a file to a folder, and it automatically shows up across your phone, laptop, and the web.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s more expensive than other drives that offer the same amount of storage space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don’t have to carry my laptop from the office to home, because I can pick up right where I left off with the latest version I was working on when I left the office, even if I forgot to save.
Dropbox Makes Sharing Reports Across Our Team Simple

I have only been using it for a few years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Efficient File Sharing with Some Search Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I use Dropbox primarily for sharing files, which has been incredibly helpful for both personal and business purposes, as well as unique projects. One of the biggest assists for me is handling large files that can't easily be sent via email but can be placed in Dropbox, making it much easier to manage significant amounts of data. I also like the notifications feature, which alerts me when something has been modified in the platform. This is a real time saver because it eliminates the need for other forms of communication like emails or phone calls. It's especially useful when multiple parties are involved and need to access changed files. Overall, these features make Dropbox a valuable tool for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like it's a little cumbersome inside as you dig down into files. Keeping things organized and how things are structured inside the platform with respect to the files can be a little confusing. I remember struggling a little bit with the setup. It wasn't a complete piece of cake, and there was a bit of confusion around the setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps me handle large files not easily sent via email and saves time with notifications about file changes, reducing the need for additional communication.
Intuitive and Easy Document Sharing with Room for Notification Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Dropbox to share documents with clients and colleagues. It helps me send documents securely and keeps them in a central location. It's easy to use, and most people can intuitively figure it out, which means they're more willing to use it. The initial setup was pretty easy too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it doesn't send enough notifications about things being uploaded or downloaded, or they send too many notifications. I wish it would always send notifications when documents are uploaded or downloaded but not send useless end of the day emails that summarize what we already received throughout the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to share documents with clients and colleagues, ensuring they are sent securely and stored in a central location.
Classroom Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
As a medical student, I use Dropbox to share my notes and PowerPoint presentations with my classmates. It lets me upload my work quickly and download my classmates’ presentations to my tablet in high definition. I also appreciate the search feature, which makes it easy to find specific content across a large number of files. This is especially helpful when I’m studying for tests and need to review a particular topic without wasting time digging through folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the free storage capacity were larger, or that there were a discounted student price. Unfortunately, my institution doesn’t subscribe to Dropbox, so I’m limited in how much I can store in my account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of having to spend excessive time sharing files via email or downloading them from Google Drive. In my experience, the download speed on Dropbox is significantly faster than any other sharing platform I’ve used, which saves me a lot of time. As a busy student, that time savings really makes a difference.
Effortless File Sharing and Management with Dropbox
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Dropbox for its Transfer feature and the ability to create links for viewing with expiration dates. It allows me to gather specific items like photos, files, and office documents to send to specific clients with an expiration date, and I get informed if the files have been downloaded. The initial setup of Dropbox was pretty easy since everything was almost automated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could use an AI assistant helping me a bit more, especially in keeping everything tidy and inform me about duplicate files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for organizing media bank data, internal documentation, and folder backups. It solves the problem of sharing large files and using them on the go. Dropbox Transfer and link expiration feature are valuable for sending files securely with client download notifications.
