Dropbox beats Drive hands down

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Dropbox with both of my businesses as well as a client's Dropbox Business account. The files have been quick to sync, easy to make available offline, and it's very helpful to selectively sync the folders on my hard drive. It's been the best cloud file storage and sharing platform, especially with Adobe's CreativeCloud storage going away. It was easy to install the Business account for my client's projects, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I'll get conflicted files when working on projects with other team members, but it doesn't happy nearly as much as it does with other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy access to all of the files I need to work on with several of my clients. It gives me one location I can go to access everything I need with each individual client.

What do you like best about the product?
Love the ample storage space for a great price. So many of my colleagues across professions use it and it makes exchanging files super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do feel like the interface on both the phone and desktop lack more intuitive functionality. Seems like I have to click around a lot to find certain things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File transferring is often an obstacle otherwise. I can get what I need (or send it) with very little effort.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Dropbox for years, just paying the fee, and it helps me keep everything organized. My phone photos automatically upload, all my documents are saved and organized, it's great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems expensive but it's the same as the rest of the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all my documents on the cloud and off my computer. I use selective sync, works great.

The Cloud for Information

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that I am able to store a plethora of information in one place on several devices and access it when I need it the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is I have some files from 2021 and older I can no longer access and I'm not sure of why or how to recover it. I'm very sadden as some of the information are the obituaries from my brother, mother and others who are very important to me. That is the main reason why I gave it an 8 and not a 10.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the issue of having a jump drive that runs out of space or gets misplaced.

Dropbox was a gamechanger

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In the early days of my software development business, exchanging large files was a headache I knew all too well. The struggles of dealing with cumbersome email attachments or unreliable file transfer methods were a constant source of frustration—for both me and my clients. However, Dropbox changed everything and is now the go-to choice for my clients. It has become nearly industry standard.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much that is bad about dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to collaborate with clients. More importantly... not having to guide them on how to exchange large files.

A Solid Cloud Backup Solution

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having automatic syncing of files on my desktop, laptop, and phone makes for peace of mind. I don't have to worry about losing photos or files as long as I remember to put them in my dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have a way to selectivly sync on linux as easily as on Windows. I've had backups copy to my Linux machine and then sync toy them over to my Windows machine to make sure they get backed up. There is probably a better way but if there was a CLI option in a keg or cask I'd use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up files offsite for a reasonable price.

A one-stop solution for photographers

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has been incredibly usefull for me as both a professional photographer and in my daily life for years now. It is an easy and essential part of my workflow. I'm able to export all of my photos directly to it and love how it is integrated directly into file explorer, without having to use an internet browser. Since it can be used directly into file explorer, I'm able to easily sort folders and quickly share with my clients. Not only do I use it for my professional photography, but also in my daily life. As an avid Dungeons and Dragons player, I am constantly storing and moving around files. Dropbox makes it easy to sort and both save things to my phone and send links to the game master. I use Dropbox on my PC and the iPhone mobile app nearly every day and consider it one of my most essential subscriptions. I have never had to utilize customer support so I cannot comment on that, but I consider it good that it's never been necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I've experienced is and issue I had with uploads being incredibly slow when using an ethernet connection instead of wifi. I believe it was a hardware issue with my PC though, as now that my computer is properly updated it is fixed and uploads are fast once again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps my to store all of the photos and videos and deliver to my clients all in one program.
