Reliable Storage with Room for Improvement

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Dropbox for about ten years both for personal and business purposes, and I appreciate its reliability and ease in sharing files, which I first discovered through a photographer who used it in my real estate business. I find Dropbox incredibly valuable for solving the ease of transfer of documents, which has significantly simplified my business operations. The storing of items is another key feature I find most useful and is one of the main reasons I continue to use Dropbox. The platform has consistently met my storage needs, making it an integral part of my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of Dropbox to be difficult, which was a bit frustrating. Another aspect I dislike is the storage limit that requires upgrading to a paid plan for more space. This feels somewhat restrictive, as it limits what I can store without incurring additional costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the ease of document transfer and storage, making my business operations simpler and more efficient.

I appreciate Dropbox's integration within my Mac environment

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration with clients. Ease of use. Interface has greatly improved over past 2 years. Confidently secure.

I mostly use DropBox directly through my Mac UI. This is the primary and most important way of interacting with Dropbox. I wish functions were a bit more integrated, but I overlook that limitation. When I truly want to control details of sharing and access, I use the website.
What do you dislike about the product?
File/folder ownership confusion. I've had occurrences of clients who shared a folder owned by my company, continue to use it as if is was theirs—adding 100's of MBs of files to the folder.

Sharing interface could be improved. Mostly in having the ability to quickly scan a long file list and see who is sharing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An organized, safe repository of cloud-based file-sharing.
