Dropbox is an industry standard for storage and collaboration

  • July 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox offers valuable premium features, accessible UI, and great collaboration tools. It offers more integrations that most other storage solutions, and the customer support is top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
The paid plans come at a high cost compared to competitors like Google Drive. There have also been some concerning reports about security concerns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for file storage and cloud collaboration. I back up all of my freelance work through Dropbox. As a freelance designer, Dropbox makes storage, sharing, and access easy and accessible to my clients. It integrates easily with other collaborative tools such as Slack, which allows me to coordinate design and multimedia projects with colleagues across teams.

The one tool I trust to never screw up my files

  • July 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Dropbox is how invisible it is when it's working right which, honestly, is almost all the time. It’s one of those tools I don’t have to think about. I save something, and it’s just there on my phone, my desktop, my iPad, wherever I need it.

But it’s not just the syncing. What’s really made Dropbox essential for me is the way it keeps our team aligned without needing constant check-ins. We have shared folders set up for every client, and everyone from interns to execs—knows exactly where to find things. No more "can you resend that?" emails. No more hunting through email threads for a final draft. It’s clean, it’s predictable, and it gives us one less thing to stress about.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe is probably how Dropbox has tried to stretch itself into areas where it doesn’t really shine. Dropbox Paper, for example great idea on paper (pun intended), but it’s not something we ever seriously adopted. The editing experience just feels too limited compared to tools we already use like Google Docs or Notion.

Also, while the storage and sync are top-notch, the pricing does start to feel heavy when you’re scaling a team. Once you’ve got more than a few users, you’re paying a pretty penny just to store and organize files. I’d love to see more flexibility in plans or bundles that add more value.

And one small but real annoyance: file previews sometimes glitch on mobile. Nothing major, but enough to make you sigh when you’re trying to check something on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the chaos that comes from juggling files across multiple people, devices, and tools. Before we used it properly, it felt like every team member had their own version of “organization” some had files on USBs, others in random folders or personal clouds. Deadlines got missed just because someone couldn’t find the right version of a doc.

Now, everything lives in one clean, shared system. I know exactly where to drop a file, and I trust that everyone will see it. It’s taken away the second-guessing, the back-and-forth, and the last-minute “Can you resend that?” messages.

Dropbox: The Quiet Cloud Hero That Sometimes Charges a Bit Too Much

  • July 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, what I appreciate most about Dropbox is its “set it and forget it” vibe. Once I drop a file in there, I don’t have to babysit it. It magically shows up everywhere I need it—my phone, laptop, even my tablet from five years ago that I rarely use. Sharing stuff is just as easy; no more hunting for email attachments or wondering if someone got the latest version. It feels like that dependable friend who always has your back without making a fuss.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox feels like that reliable old friend who’s always there but occasionally asks for a little extra cash just for hanging out. The price for storage can be a bit steep if you’re not packing your cloud with tons of files. Plus, when you toss in a big batch of files, Dropbox sometimes drags its feet syncing everything, turning patience into a virtue. And let’s be honest—the interface works fine, but it’s about as exciting as watching paint dry compared to some of the flashier new cloud apps out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox fixed the mess of my scattered files and those endless “which version is the latest?” headaches. Before, I’d waste time emailing stuff to myself or scrambling to find that one doc I worked on yesterday. Now, Dropbox just quietly keeps everything in sync across all my devices—no stress, no guessing. It’s like having a reliable buddy who always knows where my files are, so I can focus on actually getting things done.

Dropbox simplifies file storage, sharing, and collaboration, making it easy to manage large media files and coordinate with teams and clients. This saves time and keeps campaigns organized.

Teams and individuals trust our easy-to-use and secure cloud storage

  • July 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has streamlined my file management, backups, and team collaboration across devices. I love how intuitive Dropbox is — from syncing files instantly across all devices to sharing large folders with a simple link. The interface is clean, and it just works without much setup. Its version history and file recovery have saved me multiple times.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be made more competitive for individuals or smaller teams. File previews in the web client also sometimes crop up with formatting errors when dealing with massive PDFs or Office documents. Free storage should be made freer!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox addresses the issue of handling and accessing files on different devices and locations. There is no longer a need for emailing files back and forth or having to carry around USB drives. Dropbox allows me to work remotely and yet access the latest files all the time. It further makes team collaboration easier by keeping all shared documents in one place and by ensuring all people access the latest versions of documents. It has significantly enhanced my workflow effectiveness and minimized data loss possibility. It gets rid of the problem of handling and accessing files on different devices and in different locations.
