Solid tool. Lagging Features

  • June 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox was the original file storage app. They were the best they were cheap and they were included with the best features along the way. It is incredibly easy to use and the fully developed application ecosystem. Dropbox is fully integrated and easy to implement so that I can access it across many tools, ecosystems, and services. Their support team is also top-notch however, I have rarely had to use them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is no longer providing value when compared with other services. The collaborative features are not appealing, and OneDrive and Google Drive have caught up to them in terms of feature set for cheaper pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to quickly and easily share large files as well as to do collaborative document editing.

One Solution Among Many

  • June 24, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve used Dropbox for many years—mainly because it’s reliable, simple, and cross-platform. I like that I can access files from my laptop, phone, or the web without any friction. The syncing is usually seamless, and it plays well with other systems. It’s not flashy, but it does what I need it to do. I also like having it as one of a few storage options for redundancy and peace of mind.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t dislike anything about it, but it’s not differentiated. It feels like a commodity at this point—there are tons of similar tools out there, and Dropbox doesn’t stand out. It works fine, but the value isn’t always clear, especially with rising costs and competitors offering more storage or bundled features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives me reliable, easy access to my files across devices—laptop, phone, and web—without having to think about it. That’s especially helpful since I use multiple storage systems for backup and redundancy. Dropbox just works in the background and keeps everything synced, which gives me peace of mind and saves time.

Dropbox Makes File Sharing and Collaboration Effortless

  • June 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Dropbox is how effortless it makes file sharing and collaboration. Whether I’m sharing large design files with teammates or simple documents with clients, it’s always fast and reliable. The ability to create shared folders, manage access permissions, and view real-time sync across devices saves a significant amount of coordination time. I also appreciate how clean and intuitive the interface is—there’s almost no learning curve, even for first-time users, as an Application Manager working in the 3D printing industry, I use Dropbox almost daily to manage and share large design files (CAD models, 3D print files, documents) across internal teams and with external clients. It plays a central role in my file collaboration process.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Dropbox is that the storage plans can get expensive, especially if you're a small team or individual user with moderate needs. Also, sometimes the desktop app can feel a bit resource-heavy, especially on older systems occasionally use more RAM. It would be great if Dropbox provided more flexibility in pricing or offered more granular control over syncing specific folders without third-party tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps me solve the problem of managing and sharing large files across multiple devices and with external stakeholders v. Instead of sending files over email or juggling different versions, making zip files, everything stays in one place and syncs automatically. This has significantly improved our workflow, especially when working remotely or across different teams.

Simply and reliable cloud storage

  • June 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Dropbox mainly to back up important documents and share files with clients. What I like most is how easy it is to upload something on my phone or laptop and access it anywhere without any issues. The interface is clean and straightforward — no learning curve at all. I’ve also used it to share large video files, and it handles that well too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they offered more free space. It fills up quickly, especially if you’re working with videos or design files. Also, sometimes syncing takes longer than expected, especially if the internet connection is a bit slow. Other than that, it works well for what I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has made it easy for me to collaborate on documents and projects with my team and clients, even when we’re in different locations. It helps keep our files organized and accessible, so everyone always has the latest version. It’s reduced the back-and-forth over email and improved our workflow a lot.
