Simple, Reliable File Sharing with Seamless Syncing Across Devices

  • May 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Dropbox is its simplicity and reliability. It makes file storage and sharing incredibly easy, with seamless syncing across devices and intuitive collaboration features. It’s especially useful for working with teams, as it keeps everything organized and accessible in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Dropbox is that the free storage is quite limited compared to some competitors, which can make it less practical for larger files or long-term use without upgrading. Additionally, pricing for higher storage tiers can feel relatively high, and advanced collaboration features aren’t as robust as some other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of securely storing, organizing, and sharing files across different devices and teams. It benefits me by providing easy access to my documents anytime, anywhere, and simplifies collaboration by allowing me to share files quickly, manage versions, and keep everything in one centralized place. It was really helpful when I switched to a new pc.

Granular RBAC, Strong Ransomware Recovery, and Enterprise Security Integrations

  • May 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Granular Tiered Administration & RBAC
Ransomware Resiliency & Recovery
Encryption and Compliance Alignment
Enterprise Security Integrations (SIEM, IdP, & CASB)
What do you dislike about the product?
Supply Chain and Third-Party App Risk

Lack of Default Zero-Knowledge Encryption
While Dropbox has introduced advanced key management for top-tier plans following its acquisition of Boxcryptor, its standard infrastructure is not zero-knowledge by default.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the fundamental tension between productivity and security. It gives the business the speed it demands to make money, while giving my security operations center the visibility, logs, and containment levers we need to protect the company's intellectual property.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Dropbox for its simplicity and portability, allowing me easy access from multiple devices and enabling seamless navigation without spending much time figuring it out. I appreciate its widespread usability; many people already have accounts, making it easy for them to sign in and start using it quickly. This means that when I share files with clients or colleagues, they can access the files through the browser even if they don't have the app installed. Dropbox works seamlessly, speeding up my workflow. The setup was straightforward, like a plug and play, just register and use single sign-on, and you're good to go.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular, really. Some UX/UI aspects and the response speed might be improved, but overall that's a great product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to share files and store non-client data, making my workflow quick and responsive. It allows me to manage access well.

  • May 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can easily share large files over the internet with people anywhere in the world and I love that they can preview large videos or presentations directly in their browser without needing to download the files.
What do you dislike about the product?
i don't like pricing structure. The jump from the free tier to the paid plans is quite expensive if you only need a little bit of extra space, and I wish there was a cheaper, mid-tier storage option available
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solved this problem with its Smart Sync feature, allowing us to view and access everything from our desktops without storing the actual data locally.

Dropbox excellent cloud for storage, some things to improve

  • May 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciated using DropBox, the first thing I liked a lot is the fact that it works like other clouds, meaning if you want more space beyond the 2GB they offer, you pay to get it but it doesn't ask for credit cards to store your files. Additionally, it's very convenient for storing files, you can insert Passkeys and recovery codes, it's very well-known and widely used in the hospital sector.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I liked least about Dropbox is the fact that when you upload very important files related to programs used by control units connected to the entire hospital, being formatted as logs (text files .txt, so they are only written when there are events), now Dropbox gives you an error with important files during the upload to the cloud with the error "Some uploads failed." Now, this has made me doubt a lot about the functionality of the cloud because if one of my backups, which is also synchronized, does not have every file it contains uploaded, it creates problems for me that need to be resolved. Additionally, the PDF editing requires a 30-day trial version, and the banners telling you about the AI that appear while you're searching for files are very annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The advantages offered by Dropbox are remarkable; the upload speed, even in the free plan, is very fast. Additionally, on the security side, it is very secure. I keep schedules synchronized with Dropbox, and I am able to see synchronized files with all employees. Furthermore, it is an excellent alternative to the more well-known clouds.
