The 1-2 day lag for aws CUR import could be improved.

Yotascale review
What do you like best about the product?
The kubernetes integration yotascale provides was the reason we decided partnered with yotascale. It is able to attribute compute usage with other components in AWS.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we first started building out our environment we purchased a hand full of Reserved Instances but after some time AWS introduced Savings Plans. Savings Plans allowed us to be more flexible with the different ec2 types. However yotascale did not support Saving Plans at the beginning which made it difficult to visualize our costs. Yotascale did work to get this added to their platform and has since been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to know the cost footprint of all our AWS components. Before Yotascale there was no way to get how much a particular service truely costs cause there was no insights from inside the kubernetes cluster.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Must have billing Tags preset and configured.
Great product for creating visibility into cloud costs on a team-level basis
What do you like best about the product?
Setup was fairly straightforward and easy to get started. We were able to do a POC and explore the product with our own data, which made the purchasing decision that much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The definitions of what business contexts costs should be allocated to can only be configured via an API. For us, that wasn't a problem, but there were times where it would have been nice to be able to make quick changes in the UI. Fortunately, the Yotascale team has it on their roadmap to incorporate that functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to both create transparency on the cloud cost front and identify actionable insights on how to optimize our costs.
Yotascale is our cost management tool for Cloud and are pleased with Cost analytics.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the cost analytics, where we have the ability to quickly drill into cost line items. The analytics is fast well. Customer Service is responsive. I also like how we can build a customer hierarchy based on line of business and stakeholders
What do you dislike about the product?
Yotascale tagging abstraction is strong but has an opportunity to make it dynamic. Improved Multi-cloud support will be beneficial. RBAC will be a big help.

Highly recommend doing a POC of yotascale.

Being an early adopter of the product our requests for feature enhancements are quickly addressed

Would prefer if the hierarchy views were not staticly defined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can produce consolidated cost management reports across all our master billing accounts. In 6 months we have reduced our annual spend by over 10% based on the tools recommendations.

Clean dashboards to easily see where cloud spend is going and easily tag it to projects/products.

What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes, at this point, we are looking to how the service can grow to provide even more value and actively discussing roadmap with the company on topics like tracking annual commitments.

Yotascale is a great tool to track your cloud spending
What do you like best about the product?
I love the analytics and Budget/Forecast features. It helps me see where our costs are increasing and try to get ahead of things running over budget.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the tooltip on the budget and forecasting chart. It tends to regularly cover a meaningful part of the chart when I am grabbing screenshots for reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are attempting to curb overspending in the cloud. We have benefitted from Yotascale adding better transparency into where our dollars are being spent as well as using some recommendations on where to save.

Tagging Strategy and anamoly detection for cost overruns.

There is nothing i dont like, however, we do have some recommendations that we work on implementing closely with yotascale.

We have improved on our tagging strategies with yotascale and have also realized massive savings with unutilized and underutilized resources.

initial onboarding can be overwhelming without their support, especially the hierarchy; they are working to fix this on the next release to make it easier

I get visibility of cost incurred per account, user, region, service, and custom tags such as project or owner
