I can load inspections before managers go to the field and prepopulate many of the field values.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search is confusing. Importing values like dates need formating, Yes and No must be in lower case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do property inspections to identify agreement compliance issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Time, flexibility, functionality, ease of use and development, API functionality... I am a big fan. Pros: native app on android and apple devices, works offline without wifi, APIs to fetch data, add/update/delete data, populate select lists, etc., reasonably priced, easy to build apps and very flexible, storage of pics and video...
What do you dislike about the product?
We I haven't run up against any negatives yet, anything we couldn't do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main thing for us is not having to build and maintain a mobile audit app which we have done and is cumbersome.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

As a Ranger Coordinator we rely on Fulcrum for data collection

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to intuitively create apps and share them. The ability to edit data in two ways - directly in the program online, or in a downloaded dataset which can be then uploaded back into the system. I love the map view and the ability to load background layer maps using MB Tiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way you can download based on mobile data created date etc. Its confusing. All data should be able to be downloaded by when you created it, and this date should not be able to be changed if you have later edited the data.

Its very word based. So symbols and pictures cant be used very easily. You need good literacy and numeracy to use Fulcrum.

You cant record tracks. At least as far as I know, easily. We use Avenza maps for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting data is all now on one platform. Gone are the days of misplaced datasheets and putting paper datasets into spreadsheets.

Using the map inside an app enables you to have an interactive map of your work, you can see where your are and you can see point data you have collected. This coupled with the ability to upload map layers and be geolocated gives you a powerful spatial tool for the field.

For example I can see the fire history of the landscape using the fire mapping layer I have added, with our bilby monitoring sites where we have been doing work.

I can see where we are on the map and where our next monitoring site is.

Fulcrum use in Somalia & Somaliland Justice Snapshot 2020 by the Governance & Justice Group

What do you like best about the product?
Clean and crisp UI & UX; fast server to upload, synchronise and export data; constant updates; friendly customer support and awesome report export function!
What do you dislike about the product?
*Lacking the following advanced features*: auto-numbering and lettering of fields; additional field types such as matrix tables, sliders, rank order, heat-maps and question library; drag and drop fields between applications or duplicate to another application field or project; real-time multi-user application design; auto-save; upload of applications formatted in .csv or .xlsx (give user formatted template database file to upload); in report builder, it would be great to be able to select which fields to include/exclude in the report; shift and select OR press and drag-select of multiple fields; option to toggle settings and field sidebars in design view; a variety of integrations via other apps such as ArcGIS, StoryMaps, Tableau, Kumu, Slack, Notion, Dropbox, Office would be phenomenal (perhaps we use a version without integrations?); customisable analytics dashboard; option to pin application to home-screen on mobile; option to automate the record export (i.e. export at 9pm everyday); multi-language enabled or ability to have correspondence tables for uploading translations; control-group survey design; and recommendation to consider other data collection practices, i.e. relational databases for social network analysis (would be super useful).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conducting evidence informed, systems analyses of justice systems. Fulcrum deployed on android tablets with researchers in the field to gather data on institutions of the justice and security sector. institutionSee:https://southcentralsomalia.justicesnapshot.org/
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create an demo application on Fulcrum to familiarize yourself with all the field types & check-out PDF report export function - awesome to present data to stakeholders for validation.
