Fulcrum is an absolute game changer for any business that relies on collecting data.
What do you like best about the product?
I Like the easy of use when making my own app. The process was very intuitive and only had a slight learning curve. Many of the features are beyond me (a non technical professional) but there are still a plethora of features that allowed me to create a customized product for my business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to make my fulcrum app available for users to view in the Apple Store and Google Play Store so I can share our information accordingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowed me to take my business from having no product, to having a product that I can take to market.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be willing to invest your time learning how to create your own app. It took me a few days until I had the final product I wanted, but there are enough resources/tutorials out there between the Fulcrum website and Youtube that will guide you along the process.

Great Use for Wild Collections
What do you like best about the product?
Both the isolation and field collection apps are essential for my work at Northwestern University. Fulcrum is easy to use and provides the researcher with many options for field collecting and is also a great platform for exporting isolation data. Exporting s-label data is key for my analysis; Fulcrum makes the process easy to understand and allows a range of variables to be included in the downloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only part of Fulcrum I dislike is that it's a bit slow for someone who is very familiar with using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accessing GPS data is important for a project I am working on with ArcPro GIS. Fulcrum allows me to export data that I can then upload to my map in GIS. These data points reveal where Caenorhabditis worms are most prevalent and allows me to target certain Hawaiian islands and areas to collect in the future. Knowing where to go collect is crucial for saving the lab time and money.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to develop applications on the fulcrum platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any issues at this time. Fulcrum is very flexible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Increased visibility of the product to be delivered.

Treat the rollout of fulcrum like any other platform. A thorough understanding of your data is necessary.

What do you like best about the product?
Once and done data gathering. No paper, no clipboards, no transcription. Fully realizes the technical powerhouses our modern mobile phones have.
What do you dislike about the product?
No lines. I need to draw lines. A heap of our data is linear.

Data quality and consistency are hugely improved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The only limitation I've discovered is my ability to use the data that comes back in... the data is amazing and we've struggled to fully put it into use in the rest of our systems.

What do you like best about the product?
It has really streamlined our field data collection and also aids in training staff using the systematic format to ensure they collect all the data needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Super complex for some of the advanced programming ao I need to take some time to figure that out. Otherwise, it still provides everything I need without it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our field data is systematically collected and stored on the Fulcrum database for later access.
Fulcrum is an efficient and easy way to record data in field.
What do you like best about the product?
The customization and drop-down menus in each form. Data manipulation on the back end to present to clients more efficiently. Photo options to help collect a truly complete set of observations. The ability to sync in the field and for project leaders to see the data right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of some options in drop-downs or that the option you type in doesn't save on that form for that project so it must be entered continuously. Having to sync all apps when you just need to sync one. If all field are not filled in on the form, when downloaded they show as unrecorded even if the information wasn't needed for that project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fulcrum helps to record field data with much more ease, but also to assure we always have the forms we need with us. It helps with costs due to download ease and data manipulation. I like that the apps and records can be filtered to find everything quickly. The many ways to export that data if great (for example in a pdf, excel, or into gINT).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend talking to your Fulcrum contact to get some tips right away. I use an Ipad with a heavy duty case and that works great in the field as opposed to a phone. Think outside the box with how you can use Fulcrum!

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create form app that can be used offline. Very easy to import and export data from other sources. Easy to deploy to field employees. The Tech support is very good and they continue to add useful feature driven by the users.
What do you dislike about the product?
very little to dislike, tech support is very good. I had asked for some added functionality that was added to development list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
offline data geospacial data collection. Also Standardization with data collection and reporting. Fulcrum provides easy to build and deployable apps. It has become a favorite tool of our staff
The Best Field Data Collection Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Fulcrum is a powerful tool. It has allowed us to harness the customization capabilities and the flexibility for building solutions in order to satisfy our customers needs. I consider it an essential for those working with challenges in the field data collection realm.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there are Database integration and connection features that could be improved in order to present a wider array of applications to the end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving asset digitization challenges, logistics & distribution use cases, citizen data collection efforts. The benefits have been clear in terms of speed and ease of use by the end users.

Dive into the technical documentation on the website so deployment and customization drives more use in the short term.

We are a small support team with multiple groups of users in the field. Fulcrum allows us to be efficient with our time and maximize our field collection efforts.
Fulcrum enables ecological genetics
What do you like best about the product?
Fulcrum is a robust platform for data collection while in the field. We often use it in areas without WiFi or cell data coverage, and it has been remarkable. Additionally, the design of data entry parameters and the software interface are clean and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very occasionally on Android phones, we have to restart the app to enter data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We collect ecological data from thousands of field collections while in remote locations around the world. Fulcrum has enabled genetics studies that would not have been possible with other apps or pen and paper.
