What do you like best about the product?
The app and website are both easy to use. It was easy to set up the data capture templates using the website tools. The templates were then uploaded onto the user's phones by simply refreshing their app. The users require minimal training to use the app.

We also like the licensing. We are seasonal users. So during the off-season we just keep one account active in order to save our templates and access our database online.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real cons. Probably could be advertised more with some real-world examples on how to utilize the software. We learned about Fulcrum word of mouth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used fulcrum to move away from paper record keeping to digital. It's allowed us to make a data collection app and share it with a group of people who can all add their inputs. Having multiple work fronts from different disciplines in the field means a great deal of traditional paperwork was being submitted on a daily basis. This often lead to misplaced data sheets, incorrect formatting of data retrieval, data being input into incorrect sections. Having a unified system that allows single point entry, controlled formatting, and allowing for only certain users to have access to their relevant app has cleaned up the data offloading process for the client.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Our team has used a slew of other data collection software previously. We used Fulcrum first and looked to see if there was any other companies that either matches or exceeds what Fulcrum can offer. In my opinion, not one program come close to what Fulcrum has to offer when it comes to ease of use combined with full functionality.

What do you like best about the product?
Fulcrum provides a a very flexible and easy to use platform for collecting field values. I have no programming experience, but was able to quickly construct an app specific to the type of geologic mapping I do and to modify it to best meet my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's probably just my ignorance, but I haven't found an easy way to "find" the photos taken at a particular field site. I would also like the option to save photographs at a higher resolution, something closer to what my android is capable of. There was a steep learning curve. I have programmed on/off for years, and learning JavaScript was new for me. Plus I am now connecting our SQL data warehouse and am learning how to use the API features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduction in paperwork, emails, and overall coordination. Our field technicians have fast/easy use of the forms and data they need, and this forced our office, departments, and field teams to use the same lexicon.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend having a JavaScript and back end or full stack developer assist with API and form designs. We started without expertise and I had to grow into that role. My recommendation here is to admit you need a champion who can make Fulcrum fly.

What do you like best about the product?
Fantastic product. The philosophy that the data you collect is yours and you should be able to access it as easily as possible is an indication of the maturity of the product and the people behind the product.
And the fact that you keep improving the product like this makes it way easier to promote it to other members of my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
No variable pay (why even mention in the employee salary, if you can't pay this is the leading reson why fulcrum is not fully implmented yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Really appreciate the fact that Fulcrum is a process-driven company with well-defined KRAs. For a disciplinarian like me, I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

What do you like best about the product?
The Fulcrum app was easy to use and the customization was perfect. Also had top notch customer service from Daniel Hart and the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no dislikes other than having to type 40 characters to tell you that I don't have any dislikes ;)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a custom electronic data collection tool that mirrored the manual documentation that our customer was currently using

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collect, organize, and manage data in a way that is suits my business's needs. Mapping and data collection are at the epicenter of my business model - Fulcrum is a one stop shop.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) I wish the mapping and geolocation would be more accurate
2) The ability to upload PDF, word, or other types of files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven't encountered any problems yet, but I benefited by allowing my company to flawlessly collect data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Any company looking to take control of their clients' data and utilize it in the most efficient and organized way possible will reap benefits hand over fist immediately. The ability I now have to distinguish, categorize, and interact with my data gives my company an upper leg compared to my competitors, hands down,

Custom cell phone apps run my business

What do you like best about the product?
Each of us in my consulting business always has a cell phone in a pocket. By making a custom app to gather time and material charges in a simple and streamlined way, everyone keeps charges updated, even me. This has allowed us to capture work that otherwise would have been given away.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the small cell phone screen, not Fulcrum's problem. It makes it difficult to fit everything on the screen without scrolling and slows you down in the field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real time capture of time charges. We've added photos to the app which has been really useful when the work done is difficult to describe. The old "a picture is worth a 1000 words".
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try, it could really be a game changer for you.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to build custom forms for a wide range of applications. I like the way videos are recorded and played back while showing the cardinal directions that the camera is facing. I like the customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model is tough for a small org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to use fulcrum to get a number of folks out in the field collecting data on roads, forests and streams and it took very little training. Also, there were virtually no bugs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Survey 123 has gotten a lot better in the past couple of years but is still pretty clunky for more complex field tasks. Fulcrum is easier and comes with much better tech support.

easy and fast to use, great download features, simple and effective tools to build surveys, great for teams!

optional layers to upload, wish there was more file format flexibility (MBtiles is herd to make using lets say ArcMap)

Technical support. After that, the ease of design, testing, and the extensive API programmability. The breadth of how Fulcrum can be interfaced shows the level of effort put in from the start to use Fulcrum as a module within a greater organization.

Also, linked records are your friend. Normalize your data, don't be like us and make one form do everything. Oops.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s ease of use. No programmers. And it’s agility to be changed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It is such a good product It has grown over the years. They listened to my enhancement suggestions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All types of data collection problems. The benefit is collecting information once and being able to sort the data as required. We also use it during fire and flood emergencies.

Try it and you will see just how good it is.
