We complete endangered species surveys. Fulcrum allows us to work efficiently and precisely.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up, use, upload, download, and create GIS maps and analysis

It’s hard to believe, but I like everything about Fulcrum.

Allows us to better understand distributions of endangered species and threats to their continued existence.

Capturing all information's related to our work. Eliminating the use of paper documents

Try it and you will see how easy is to use if you use your imagination.
Cheap, and easy to use - needs Polygons
What do you like best about the product?
IOS capability, and I like the record view of photos with the GPS location and direction the camera was facing, which is great for sending to clients
What do you dislike about the product?
If it did Polygons, this would do away with some other expensive GIS applications

Give it a try, cheap and accessible
This is going to save us so much time and money!!!
What do you like best about the product?
We are now on version 4 of our app and it is a fully functioning estimating tool! It's going to save us so much time and money compared to our old way of estimating.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a little frustrating during the programming period of our app development that I was unable to make a lot of the changes myself due to a lack of understanding of the system. I'm excited to get trained on how to edit it myself now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to estimate with our phones and clipboards by transmitting all the data by hand to a word document. Now we use an iPad in the field to estimate and it's ready to submit to the customer after the visit is completed.

The data manipulation. The fact that your field data is transferable, represented in a variety of formats to suit your individual needs.

Manipulation of the pdf reports that is exported. Maybe consider a word version?

We have managed to streamline and tailor our choice lists on the run to accommodate different scenarios we encounter in the field, which has saved us a huge amount of time in the office.

If you are not going to develop your own app, then this is the application that you an use. It is really easy to use and can be set-up with ease.

Mobile data capture has transformed our business processes
What do you like best about the product?
Utilising the power of the API and Python has allowed us to build comprehensive business process around the pre- and post-capture of data that we require.
What do you dislike about the product?
The use of the apps across IOS and Android is not consistent. We have had to choose a target platform (IOS) to reduce development costs. I would have hoped that Fulcrum would have ensured consistency to take the burden of cross-platform checking away from their clients.
We have users across two agencies. They are effectively one user of Fulcrum but the licence model requires them to be paying two subscriptions. This sucks. Microsoft sorted this out for their O365 model.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have improved data quality through in-the-field bounds and sanity checks, enabled scheduling and follow-up, and been able to better monitor activities.
Great for customization, and easy data export
What do you like best about the product?
I can switch from desktop mode to the app on a tablet for convenience.

it would be beneficial to have more templates for easy inspections.

Cost-effective consolidation
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is easy to learn and use. We are able to make a project for anything we want.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some quality-of-life differences when switching from desktop to android to iPhone. Also, finding a quick way to transfer GPS coordinates to addresses would be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a large project to swap all of our electric meters to newer ones. We used Fulcrum to map out the addresses and document all information needed to compete work orders and swaps in our system. The greatly streamlined the process and allowed us to complete the project 4 months ahead of schedule.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For any project with multiple users, Fulcrum seems to support any and every need we have presented it. The ability to import excel makes projects simple to start and simple to track. We are using this to track more and more every day.
Inspection Data Captured through Fulcrum
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the flexibility to make changes. We consistently have requests for additional data to be captured during the course of our inspection program and the ability to add requirements on the fly, within minutes, is invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't found anything we dislike as of yet. Our only issues are when we make things too complicated. The app does what it is supposed to do and it's up to you (us) to create it correctly for the inspectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are locating our assets and assessing their condition and capturing all of that data in the application...something we weren't able to do before, especially with such efficiency. The ability to filter the desired data is excellent as well.
