Cost-effective consolidation
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is easy to learn and use. We are able to make a project for anything we want.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some quality-of-life differences when switching from desktop to android to iPhone. Also, finding a quick way to transfer GPS coordinates to addresses would be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a large project to swap all of our electric meters to newer ones. We used Fulcrum to map out the addresses and document all information needed to compete work orders and swaps in our system. The greatly streamlined the process and allowed us to complete the project 4 months ahead of schedule.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For any project with multiple users, Fulcrum seems to support any and every need we have presented it. The ability to import excel makes projects simple to start and simple to track. We are using this to track more and more every day.

Inspection Data Captured through Fulcrum
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the flexibility to make changes. We consistently have requests for additional data to be captured during the course of our inspection program and the ability to add requirements on the fly, within minutes, is invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't found anything we dislike as of yet. Our only issues are when we make things too complicated. The app does what it is supposed to do and it's up to you (us) to create it correctly for the inspectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are locating our assets and assessing their condition and capturing all of that data in the application...something we weren't able to do before, especially with such efficiency. The ability to filter the desired data is excellent as well.
Capture Field Sample Descriptions without Internet or Cell Service
What do you like best about the product?
The app and website are both easy to use. It was easy to set up the data capture templates using the website tools. The templates were then uploaded onto the user's phones by simply refreshing their app. The users require minimal training to use the app.
Uploading the users data to a common cloud-based database by simply refreshing their app is probably the best feature of Fulcrum. No data loss and no duplication of data with multiple users.
We also like the licensing. We are seasonal users. So during the off-season we just keep one account active in order to save our templates and access our database online.

What do you dislike about the product?
No real cons. Probably could be advertised more with some real-world examples on how to utilize the software. We learned about Fulcrum word of mouth.
Uploading background images could be easier. We currently create maptiles using TileMill which can be tricky.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Fulcrum in the mineral exploration industry where our sampling crews capture their field sample descriptions on their Android phones. Android phones are simpler to use as we can load background maps as maptiles into the app (a bit tricky to load onto iPhones). Crews record sample descriptions, take sample photos, and capture GPS coordinates all with their phone. Cell phone service or Internet is not required while in the field. The sampling crew refresh their phone app when they get back to camp in the evening where satellite Internet is available. So by the end of the day everyone's field data has been uploaded to the cloud. Head office can view progress within a few hours either with the map viewer on the Fulcrum website or by loading into the company's GIS database.

limitations in importing (10,000 maximum), inability to determine proximity without higher costs, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ending malaria! We worked in Rwanda in several 10s of thousands of structures. We also digitally enumerated the most rural parts of Ethiopia, and then went in to validate whether theses structures were valid or not valid structures for protecting against malaria.

Ability to work offline is very helpful, as are the google based base maps

only thing I wish Fulcrum would add is ability to upload line data. sometimes you need to connect the dots.

Look into utilizing the product at a higher level, with webhooks and integrating with other software.
A great application, with excellent support
What do you like best about the product?
Fulcrum is generally very easy to use, from the creation and admin of projects on the website through to using the mobile application. Administering our users and account settings on the website is also very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only a couple of minor dislikes around missing functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fulcrum gives us a very simple method of enabling untrained users in the field to collect location data quickly and accurately. The data sharing functionality then gives us a very easy way to access the data using automated methods, so that the data can be used in our own applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The mobile app and website are a pleasure to use, making the setup of projects very easy and enjoyable. The level of support provided by the team is also excellent.
Good standard functionality but lacks white label options

Smooth and robust data offline and online synchronization

There is no white label customization option

I used it for retail distribution auditing and gps stamping and data management was very helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a quick solution with simple input options then this is your solution. It does not have white label option which was a limitation but is very easy to use, secure and robust
The Best Reporting App Ever
What do you like best about the product?
The fact you can edit your own menus and fields! Game changer! No more paying extortionate fees for a company to do something you can easily do yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot archive records, which means whoever is using it in the field needs to scroll through hundreds of older jobs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fulcrum has significantly reduced the amount of steps required to get a PDF report to a client. We can now do this onsite, as the job finishes, without the need to use any other applications or devices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to get familiar with the desktop version and set up your apps. Once complete, life becomes a lot easier.

Data exporting is one of the features I like in Fulcrum.

Sudden increase in the cost of the application.

Excellent Operating system
What do you like best about the product?
The team at Fulcrum listens to feedback and acts upon it. Very professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind. They have come up with add ons that I hadn't thought about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The integration of sub-meter accuracy and time/data records are my most favorite. They have just come out with a feature that blurs faces, which is handy when working around the public.
