Good, could be better
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to configure stuff. The fact that everything is done from UI makes it easy for someone without programming experience to create syncs. Also, git sync is quite useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. There is no way to parameterise the environment. Have to create different syncs for different environments.
2. Would like if we could query the metadata of syncs, like time taken, no of records. I believe only way we can do that is via UI.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing time to create an ELT pipeline. Traditionally it would have taken a lot of dev effort to create an integration for CRMs. Also as a developer we don't have to worry about API changes in the future.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have been using it for about 2 months, no errors till now.

Great solution to getting more out of our data
What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch has been super reliable and really helped us to get more use out of our data across the business. I particularly like the clean and easy-to-use interface, it makes building models and creating syncs simple and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I feel could really do with improvement is the list views in syncs and models. Unfortunately, as the number of syncs and models grows we have a long list and while there is a great search bar and filtering it would be beneficial to be able to create a folder or grouped structure where we can organise the models/syncs in a helpful way for the business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a business, our data was kept locked and secure in our data warehouse and it was often difficult to connect to systems to make it more operational for many of our teams. We found we had regular data requests for daily CSV extracts of the same data which was often driving an operational process in another tool or system, Hightouch enhanced this process by allowing us to create automated and scheduled syncs of this data to the right tools freeing up resources and creating a more robust end to end process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a way to get more operational value out of your data Hightouch is a great solution to empower your teams to make more use of your data by allowing them to easily connect it to tools & systems without the need for any extensive developer resources. Leave behind the regular downloading of data to CSV's only to re-uploading to another tool by using Hightouch you can create a regular sync of the data you want, how you want and when you want.
I have felt a seamless sync experience while developing models on HighTouch to refresh customer data
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is quite intuitive and easy for beginners like me to configure sync models. I find it easy to navigate and add controls, alerts and notifications on failure. This is quite helpful for monitoring data flows from my warehouse to the business teams. Overall, I'm very happy and delighted to use HighTouch. It makes my life much more easier
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel HighTouch could be made better by adding visuals to the sync and models created for easy comprehension of the attributes and the data pipeline in general
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hightouch is solving a major problem by enabling business teams to get a deep dive into my warehouse data with easy configuration and enabling me with the power of flowing only the required attributes. The sales team and business developers are happy and have found it to create a positive cash flow into the system, enabling efficiency and high productivity. Signals to the failure have always empowered me to efficiently solve the concerns raised.
Great data sync tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to set up Hightouch connections with our most critical tools. We were able to get our data warehouse connected to tools for employee consumption very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the extreme price differential for SAML/Okta compatibility. With a service that has access to such sensitive information, security should be included for free, not an extra cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to get properly filtered information into the hands of our sales and finance teams in a streamlined and secure way. Hightouch has helped our organization to do that.
The easiest Saas solution I've implemented with the quickest payoff
What do you like best about the product?
We had run into issues getting data out of our warehouse and into critical downstream tools (Hubspot in particular) due to the limitations our CDP had on how they could pass data. When hours of workarounds and sql queries still didn't fix it, we did a quick search on reverse ETL tools (we'd done some research on the space previously) and settled on either Hightouch or Census. Ultimately, we started with Hightouch b/c their trial signup/freemium option meant I could test our use case without having to pay a dime. I was warry since other freemium solutions in past were difficult to sign-up or gated (you needed to talk to a salesperson). Not the case here. And I needed minor engineering support (just to get a service account for BQ) - it took them maybe five minutes because the documentation on connecting was so clear. We were up and running in almost no time, and WOW was it easy yet effective.
It was a huge win for the company which has fueled more intelligent outreach and more trust in the analytics team's ability to get the data teams need in the tools our stakeholders use. We ultimately purchased Hightouch, and working with our sales rep was a breeze (super enjoyable!) We've since needed some support here or there, and the Hightouch team is incredibly responsive. Even when we had an issue with a destination that had NOTHING to do with Hightouch, our support rep went out of her way to do additional research at the destination's site to try and help us.
Hightouch was the right solution for us, and given the volume of fields my team wants to pass, it was the better financial decision too (compared to Census)

What do you dislike about the product?
Every once in awhile we'll run into a destination that's not supported. But usually it's a more fringe martech tool. Even in those cases, I've shared our request with Hightouch and it's been noted for future.
The only other thing is sometimes our syncs take awhile to run... but I'm fairly certain that's due to the API on the other end (not Hightouch). However, we're getting better data modeling and infrastructure in place so Hightouch doesn't have to do so much heavy lifting for us.
And finally, right now Hightouch treats the DW as "source of truth". But sometimes we have users who change data in the destination after a sync, and Hightouch doesn't know there's a difference (b/c nothing has changed in the DW). The solution for this involves some better data ingestion on our part, which will require a bit of engineering. Until that time, I remind my team that if they manually change anything in their tool, it'll break the "sync"

Getting data out of our data warehouse and into downstream tools used by marketing, customer experience, and (in future) product.
Syncing the same date to multiple destinations easily
Vastly increasing the speed with which we can get new fields into tools/increasing adaptability and nimbleness of analytics team
Allowing for more experimentation b/c of ability to get different data fields into tools so quickly

Super easy no-code automation tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to bring in data from various sources and send them directly to Google Sheets
What do you dislike about the product?
Very minor complaint - I don't like how hard it is to re-run a multiple syncs that are linked to the same destination
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to move data from one place to another. Makes it easy to automate and monitor
Removes all the challenges of middleware and saves me 30 hours a week.
What do you like best about the product?
How quickly I can build a model from existing sources, map the data between the model and the destination with a simple drop-down, and then schedule it easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easier way to build pivot tables from within Hightouch. If I could do that, I could circumnavigate the use of Looker explore queries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy syncs taking data on Google Sheets and Big Query, and then arranging that to sync with Airtable for effective program management
Hightouch freed us from the shackles of Salesforce and NetSuite
What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch makes it easier to support customers using well-versioned and tested data lakehouse code built using software engineering best practices, instead of having to hack together reports and integrations using proprietary scripting languages embedded in a SaaS application.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is still a very young product. It doesn't yet have an elegant way of representing union types (like NetSuite's record identifiers) or mater-detail relationships (like Items on an Order). I do appreciate Hightouch's honesty about their limitations, and their openness to discussing future roadmaps for addressing these limitations).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have numerous complicated workflows that are spread between NetSuite and Salesforce. This requires us to sync data in multiple directions, which is often a pain because of minor differences in datatypes.
Hightouch abstracts much of the complexity, allowing us to focus on the core business logic. It is easy enough to use, our new intern was able to build, test, and deploy a production integration his first full week on the job!

Make full use of the free trial offered by both platforms to test alternatives on real-world data.
Hightouch is amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very easy to use, and the customer service is super responsive.
We asked for several new features, and in weeks they were developed. You are the best guys! :)

What do you dislike about the product?
I can't find something that I dislike to be honest...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting our warehouse directly to downstream tools such as Zapier, Outreach, Customer.io, Hubspot, ....
Excellent product that works exactly how it's supposed to
What do you like best about the product?
There are two main things that I really like about this product:
1. How effortless it was to set it up and get real data flowing from our data lake and into our CRM tool
2. The ability to execute custom SQL rather than just being able to transfer entire tables without any option to customize them
A little bit of context: We were in a rush to get Hubspot setup and get our data flowing into it. Using Hightouch, we were able to go from signing up to having data flowing into Hubspot in approximately 2 hours.
Aside from how much we've enjoyed the product itself, their Customer Service has also been excellent. They've even been able to help out with issues that are due to something on Hubspots side

The only downside I can see for now is that because of their size, they've got a limited number of integrations that are possible. However, this number will grow over time and they've been very proactive in reaching out and checking if we want/need any more of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that we're solving is that we needed to transfer data from our data lake into Hubspot. A nice to have was the ability to customise the data somewhat but we would have been fine with just transferring entire tables if we had to. Hightouch does both of these perfectly and with a great UI we can use to monitor it over time
