Mature, Stable, full-featured platform for application deployment

  • February 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been developing low-code / no-code applications to help my Team and my Clients for 15 years now, and Vinyl represents an evolutionary step in the capability of this technology. An application can progress from an idea to a proof-of-concept in hours - not weeks, or months. The online training is comprehensive, so I was able to quickly ramp-up. There is an active community of app developers who are willing to share their know-how, and a knowledge-base that is a permanent record of questions and answers from the developers. In short, Vinyl is a powerful platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the development work I've done, I don't have a complaint. The platform has worked as expected, the technology is mature, and if I don't know how to achieve something I can get help from the Wiki, or ask a Question on the Forums, or even ask for specific help. The support team has also been easy to work with when I've asked for help at the database server level. My observation is that the capabilities of Vinyl are huge (hello REST APIs, Widgets, Workflow, etc.,), and I don't have time to learn about those capabilities at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been building a suite of applications to improve the delivery capabilities of my Consulting Business, and to provide a differentiator between my business and my competitors. The applications I have developed are a significant improvement on the ideas I had when I started - I can now deliver powerful dashboards for individuals and teams that were not possible 10 years ago.

The application tool in general is a good one to use , however the recent upgrade has some flaws.

  • February 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
From deployment perspective , its fairly efficient, configuration and installation of Vinyl app is also easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recent upgrade has some flaws, passwords are not encrypted, some of the pages do not show complete info on the screen like ... to deploy an LP, the screen is small, and the full path is not visible. When you click 'Install,' no indication that the system is performing a task, the previous version did have some indication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From what I understand , provided proper sql queries are used its an ideal tool for reporting. As a member of dev ops team , its easy to spin up a new instance , integrate with AD.

VINYL has been a powerful tool to facilitate rapid application development

  • February 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've built many applications in VINYl under compressed timelines. VINYL has several advantages to accomplish this. I can prototype quickly, implementing data schema and user interfaces as I go. I can leverage APIs from external providers, as well as build internally configured ones between VINYL apps. From an efficiency perspective, security through roles and groups is built in, simply requiring some configuration. I've used advanced features when needed to take advantage of custom scanner behavior and other types of peripherals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've seen VINYL extend many of its features and its general ease of use over time. One critical improvement would be a mechanism to undo changes or potentially roll back to an established milestone during the development process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've implemented all manner of solutions with VINYL, including line of business applications involving warehouse management, call centers, shipping, and billing. I've also used VINYL for a single straight-forward function like fulfilment that needed to be available within a week. VINYL's two biggest benefits to me are rapid development and centralization. Larger projects should still establish good planning artifacts, but its really nice to find everything in one place and be able to turn changes around during the course of a review meeting.

What do you like best about the product?
The folks at VINYL are so collaborative. It is so wonderful working with them for the following reasons: They are active listeners. They ask clarifying questions vs working off assumptions. They are personable, engaging and fun. Their turn around time to delivery and quality of their delivery is off the charts amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I don't like about working with VINYL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VINYL has been a great way for us to add companion apps to our core operating systems. The integrations are working amazingly well and our business stakeholders have improved processes because of it.

Low code to no code dev platform – plug & play

  • February 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple UI configuration with flexibility for any number of fields and navigations from one screen to other
Low code to no code dev platform - plug & play
Competitive with multiple other tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Our integration with SAP requires APIs to be developed. This adds complexity to develop APIs with the backend tables

Would be nice to have if the integration is made easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generally huge timeline is required for developments on RF. Setting up error messages, scroll buttons, back buttons on RF are easy to setup. Performance of platform is good as well

The perfect Middleware for Sharing data between Salesforce and Workday

  • February 04, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We needed a solution to share important finance data between Salesforce and Workday and Jitterbit was our Savior.

We signed our licence agreement in early July and went live to the business in early December.

Since launch Jitterbit has been easy to maintain and improve with the support of our Salesforce partner VRP.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet.............................
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of important financial data between Salesforce and Workday. Salesforce generates our Customer Account Numbers and sends this to Workday along with the Account Address and Phone Number. Workday sends back a Status and Reason Code plus Credit Limit and Default Payment days when set in Workday.

Jitterbit is the backbone for our O2C processing

  • February 01, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jitterbit is a reliable platform that is the backbone of our O2C process. Jitterbit's modular approach allows us to stand up new integrations relatively quickly. The Management Console is a super helpful dashboard that gives us a birds-eye view of our operations and enables us to drill down to problem areas quickly. Jitterbit's customer success and consulting teams are top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I can think of as a 'con' is paying for each endpoint. That said, we have always found Jitterbit to be accomodating and willing to help us develop a solution that would work cost-wise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jitterbit to run our entire O2C flow. It integrates easily with our eCommerce platform, ERP, and all of our global 3PLs.

Jitterbit has saved months for our integrated Go-To-Market product

  • January 29, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Jitterbit is once you set up the initial architecture and infrastructure - integration projects are highly replicable and can be completed in a matter of days. This has dramatically reduced our GTM for integration products. Additionally, the maintenance of these projects requires next to nothing. The office hours, initial hand-holding, and fast turnarounds on development issues have made our lives easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is literally nothing! Only complaint is that we wait for days for our integration partners to catch up with our pace! If we have Jitterbit being used by both sides of the project, I am certain businesses can be integrated within a week!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software cannot work in silos anymore, and any software today should have the capability to be integrated into the ecosystem. We decided to use Jitterbit to have a highly replicable integration framework that will enable our software to work with the ecosystem - at the same time reducing the resources required to do so.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
