Agile portals
What do you like best about the product?
Vinyl is unbelievably quick to develop portals and (mobile) applications. It lends itself well to an agile approach and is in a class of its own. Its no-code/low-code approach lends well to progressive iterations with speed. There are a lot of products of this genre available, but few are as Enterprise-ready as Vinyl.
What do you dislike about the product?
The configuration UI requires some experience to become proficient. This is one area that could be simplified and improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
B2B business portals also rendered as mobile tools. The key benefit is being able to realise an integrated portal serving several audiences within a very short timerame.

Great team with sharp skills
What do you like best about the product?
Vinyl offers a great ability to intake data from multiple sources and intuitively map key elements together to create a complete view of KPI's
What do you dislike about the product?
Based on current initiatives underway, I have no complaints or dislikes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The initiatives we are focused on currently are centered around the organization and presentation of critical financial data. At a time when we are restructuring our internal systems and, at the same time, acquiring new companies, Vinyl's ability to aggregate, organize and present similar data from multiple systems into a single cohesive view has been extremely valuable
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As with any other initiative, take time to think about the outcome(s) you desire. However, if you need help defining certain requirements the Vinyl team will be there to assist
The result and how fast a new solution can get done outweigh the negative points.
What do you like best about the product?
How fast the solution can be deliver and how easy to fix small things, like table or columns names.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of documentation, and the search in the Forum.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating Application that have been put on the back burner for many years by the internal Dev team. The delivery was 10 x times faster that any quick estimate does by the internal Dev team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Select a small project, work with the Vinyl Team to deliver the small project, then make the internal presentation of the project and how was it was done. Then, try to do a project on your (programming experience would help) own (with help from the Vinyl Team) and make the internal presentation. The Next Step is to purchase Vinyl with an new Internal Project that your organization wants. So overall, it take 3 projects, small (by Presale Zudy), medium (with Presale Zudy) and Big (with Support Zudy).
US Space Force Citizen Developer w/ ZERO coding experience
What do you like best about the product?
US Space Force is a digital workforce. With the emphasis for personnel to be tech-savvy, Zudy’s low-code/no-code SW application allow citizen developers like myself (with little to no coding experience) to create a SW application to deliver operational capabilities at the speed of relevance. I was able to quickly learn how to create an application after completing Zudy Academy courses. The self-paced courses provided an excellent introduction of the Vinyl platform to learn about capabilities, APIs, Data Modeling and Business Logic. After creating my MVP in one weekend, Zudy’s team continued to provide outstanding support to continuously improve my application.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is the first low-code/no-code platform I’ve used so I don’t have anything to compare Vinyl to. But I can’t think of any dislike/downsides of using Vinyl. Years ago, I tried to learn how to code myself via YouTube videos and various online courses, but honestly, I just couldn’t figure it out. There was so much information out there, I didn’t even know where to start. But with Zudy Academy, I was able to build upon what I learned to successfully create an application on my own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to raise knowledge and advocacy for citizen developers across the Air Force and Space Force to create applications with little to no training to place innovation on the edge. My specific use case was to develop an application by creating an interactive marketplace for government users to seek out and find the best vendors out there to solve their problem, as well as provide a platform for vendors to demonstrate what they can bring to the table.
Incredibly versatile and powerful software that massively simplifies your development processes
What do you like best about the product?
You can create fully functional and data sourced pages in minutes, and complex applications in a fraction of the time/cost usually associated. On the fly development and review makes it even easier to avoid the usual mistakes. One of the quickest applications I've ever used to build and deploy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Had a few data issues working with a MySQL database but the framework team resolved them really quickly. S3 integration with densely populated buckets isn't always the quickest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to create and develop solutions that would normally be far beyond my reach, linking multiple data sources in simple, yet incredibly effective ways. We've been able to create both front end and back end solutions with a very small team, and the ability to deploy advanced html code and javascript widgets makes it even more powerful to advanced developers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Virtually eliminates the need for dedicated development resource and you can pick up the basics really quickly. Whilst no software is without limitations, the team are great at picking up requests and both assisting in resolving any issues and identifying whether they can be rolled back into the core software. One of the few tools that I have zero regrets about us implementing.
Excellent low code digital transformation tool for an API / data centric world
What do you like best about the product?
It's hard to choose as there are so many things I like.
Chief amongst them though is the pace with which we can move from concept to working application, then iterate, iterate, iterate with our clients....whether we are creating a standalone application, or plugging in to an existing workflow that cuts across multiple systems, VINYL has our back. It's not quite Childs play but with Zudy VINYL it's heading in that direction.
After 30 years of working in IT I can think of 100s of projects that would have delivered better outcomes if I'd had VINYL

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm really looking forward to my mobile apps being able to work in offline mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Digital transformation - using VINYL as part of a flexible transition plan, but also building custom applications that deliver efficiency where legacy ERP or inflexible SaaS tools don't have the features needed to deliver organisational efficiency.
In terms of benefits, we build applications at pace and can react in realtime to our clients ideas / needs. Our clients end to end processes are now joined up (no more playing pass the spreadsheet), and they have access to actionable management information in-process, directly in VINYL

Great, simple application and unbelievable tech support
What do you like best about the product?
We were assigned a dedicated developer to work closely with us on an ever changing and tight deadline project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would not say there was anything I disliked. They were very good at coming up with solutions to problems we had if their tool might not been able to do exactly what we needed and in fact, these problems were far and few
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need a database to store and collect compensation data for 130 R1 universities. We then needed to push that data back out to the universities for verification. We also sliced and diced the data before sending out. We then needed to review the data and approve any changes the universities might have made before updating the database. We created customized reports, Crystal reports, and the used an api to send data to a website lookup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly believe the tool is flexible and delivers on requirements.
EDI Development in Jitterbit
What do you like best about the product?
The Jitterbit show us all object as the easy object and give us a comfortable possibilities. I have developed an EDI integration in one month in .NET environment. So I have developed same project in jitterbit just in one week. It's an amazing environment. When i developing integration project not need a keyboard almost. :) Getting data, manipulation data, scheduling operations, insert, update oprations , etc is very easy. Data migration is very easy between environment. Also support team is the best. Thank you Jitterbit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't face any point to dislike. It's very easy tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have developed EDI integration and Jitterbit in the short time. EDI messages are complex. Data mapping is need a long time. We have faced before another project. We have developed an integration with .net and additional component and we completed it was taken a long time. We have decided use Jitterbit. And completed in a week. It's my first project with Jitterbit. Jitterbit is providing visual designing. When you convert structure to visual object then everything is come to easier. Developing time is come to minimised. Dont need several external developing tools. Jitterbit is within EDI plugin showing document as visual. We have related document fields with MsSQL table fields just drag and drop. Just double click and maked manipulating for data manipulating.
The time is the best benefits for business.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Developed your integration project at anywhere. Restore and download projects. Migrate project easly. Drag and drop implementations.
Fİnish the project in the short time. If you want dont wait and get a jitterbit.

Both easier to use AND more robust than expected
What do you like best about the product?
VINYL helps integrate databases well, it makes difficult apps easier to make
What do you dislike about the product?
Details of launching can reveal oversights
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vinyl allowed us to create a way to protect individual responses to online queries. Once set up it runs well.
We believe in Vinyl!
What do you like best about the product?
Vinyl is a uniquely powerful, highly capable platform. It is relatively simple to get acquainted with and gain mastery, and has a TON of potential. We believe it is definitely worth whatever trade-offs/downsides exist. It is still young (v3.0 as of this review), but we 100% believe this is the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vinyl isn't particularly flexible - there is certainly a framework, language, and mindset to learn if one desires to maximize it. The platform isn't unlimited, and I see why Zudy doesn't market it that way.
There are also a number of atypical expectations Vinyl has of the developer that, sometimes, makes basic tasks that are easy to execute (i.e. low effort & story points) outside of Vinyl significantly more difficult within Vinyl.
Lastly, "low-code/no-code" is a stretch. I believe Vinyl requires at least intermediate knowledge of programming, database architecture, application development, testing, reporting, etc. to be able to enjoy its most obvious and readily accessible advantages.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far, we have been able to automate a few internal business processes, even entire workflows, through Vinyl.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should keep your knowledge and experiences, but throw out all your habits and come ready to be a student of Vinyl.
