  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Using VMware Fusion allows to install any operating systems on the Mac, Windows, Linux, EXSi, Server OS, etc. It gives all features like the real PC, ability to connect external devices to the virtual operating systems, run the applications, file transfer among the Virtual machines as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing cost is a little bit high, other than all were good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Actually VM ware fusion helps to run the Windows and Linux operating systems over the MAC operating system. Also, I have run the exit platform and run Virtual servers like the real servers for testing purposes, its an ultimate feature I have experienced with Fusion,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Anyone can easily use the VM ware Fusion over the MAC operating systems for run Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great way to emulate Windows and Linux without using Bootcamp or partition the Hard Disk, which supports 95% of the features of a native operating system with minimum overhead making it a great option for emulating Windows and Linux software.
What do you dislike about the product?
When dealing with firmware and drivers around 50% behaves slightly differently than in a native OS so it's not very useful when debugging issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running software from other OSes that don't run or run suboptimally in MacOSX like publisher or gimp
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As far as I'm aware for MacOSX systems there is no better option for virtualization

What do you like best about the product?
VMware fusion is the best option to run any operating system with the MAC operating system over virtual environments. Its ability to run Windows, Linux, Debian, EXSi operating systems as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, transfer files between local computer to a virtual machine and among the virtual machines, have to reinstall the VM tool again and again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using VMware fusion since 2012, it’s the best option to run another operating system over the MAC OS, actually my MAC does not supports for Apple new OS Mojave, anyway I have enough Physical memory then I have run the Mojave as a virtual OS. After installing VM tools it resolves all the problems like file transferring, USB connecting, display drivers etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easiest and best way to run another operating system with the MAC operating system.

  • July 30, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It runs really well Windows 7, 10 and Linux distros alike, it's possible to be running Linux, Windows, and MacOSX on your machine concurrently as long as your CPU and Memory can handle it.
What do you dislike about the product?
While most programs run as good as in Windows usually peripherals that don't run in MacOSX won't run in the VM either needing to use a BootCamp or another machine to run them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running Windows and Linux VMs from my MacBook.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's almost a must-have for a MacOSX user unless you can run every application you need natively on MacOSX

A necessity for business MacOSX users

  • July 27, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's really flexible, you can assign only 1GB of ram and 1 CPU for a VM or assign all the resources to a VM depending on the needs of that particular VM, with the right settings you can run 5 VMs without any problem as long as enough resources are available
What do you dislike about the product?
License is not cheap, but let's be honest if you can afford a MacBook there is a really high chance you can afford the license price of Fusion
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running Windows and Linux VM, sometimes concurrently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to run Windows every day and you have the budget to buy just do it. It's the most logical option.

What do you like best about the product?
I had a computer refresh recently less than a month ago and one of the things I dread is doing the computer setup, exporting the VM from the old computer and importing it to the new was really quick and easy and best of all everything worked exactly as on my old Mac.
What do you dislike about the product?
My computer gets hot when running Fusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running the Windows programs that I need to run for my work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Exporting and importing a VM is even easier than setting a new PC if you have the vmware extension installed.

Really good virtualization software.

  • July 22, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It runs smoothly every OS I have tried so far. Some applications run even better inside my VM than natively on Windows. You can save the state a VM so if a Windows VM ever gets slow like Windows usually does you can just restore the state to when the VM was still running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not free like other alternatives but since my company pays for the license I'm ok with that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running several VMs inside my MacBook, some Linux, some Windows and from time to time a FreeBSD VM too
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Even when VirtualBox is free for a desktop operating system VMWare is still king.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to configure, very stable, allows you to run as many VM as you need. Overall is a great program and a must-have if you run a MacOSX machine
What do you dislike about the product?
Fantastic program, there is nothing to dislike at all
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running programs that otherwise were not possible to run in my machine
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can save the state of a VM before doing configurations that may break the system, that way if something stops working you can just restore your old VM without any harm done.

Virtualizacion software that has become a necessity for Mac users

  • July 16, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can run windows applications inside my mac and forget about the tradeoff between having a mac and not having some applications or having an ugly windows laptop.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is really good, but it's almost 2020 there shouldn't be a need for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running windows applications inside my MacOSX machine
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't really need to run an application natively this software got you cover, 99% of the software runs the same as native and some even better because of the underlying hardware.
