Great for reaching a broad group of people, but not without its quality faults
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it super easy to get feedback asynchronously for specific groups of people. It's great for testing things quickly and getting a "gut check" on certain projects. The customer support is also really helpful, I love that I can chat them basically any time and they always get back to me quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the quality of participants can vary, and I also question how many testers they actually have. I notice that some testers often repeat across our different brands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us derisk changes in our app.
Overall UserTesting is great for unmoderated testing
What do you like best about the product?
It's fast and simple to run tests with UT's participants and overall UserTesting is extremely easy to use. I didn't really need any training the first time I used it, it's been easy enough to figure things out with the occasional help from UserTesting's help articles. The automated transcription also works great!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to install UserTesting on a browser for new users, so it we could test unmoderated with our own users. Analysis could also be more automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting helps us test new prototypes and ideas easily and quickly with their user audience.
Essential Tool for Effective User Experience Research
What do you like best about the product?
UserTesting.com is an invaluable platform for gathering qualitative insights directly from target users. The ease of creating and distributing tests is great, and the variety of test types will also cover the research needs of any team. The sentiment video feedback feature is particularly useful, allowing us to observe genuine user interactions and reactions, which significantly enriches our understanding of user behavior and preferences. The pool of available testers is also decent
What do you dislike about the product?
While UserTesting.com offers extensive capabilities, the cost can be prohibitive, especially for smaller teams or startups with limited budgets. Additionally, the volume of data collected can sometimes be overwhelming, and the platform could benefit from more advanced data analysis tools to help distill key insights more efficiently. Sometimes testers respond to screening questions not very honestly, just to join a test. This can be a waste of time both for them and for the reseachers. The way video reels are created could also be more powerful, it's not great currently. Despite these minor drawbacks, the platform remains an essential tool for any UX researcher's toolkit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting addresses several business problems related to understanding and enhancing user experience:
- Lack of user insights: businesses can obtain direct feedback from real users interacting with their products or services.
- Product development inefficiencies: integrates user feedback early and throughout the product development cycle.
- Customer satisfaction issues: helps pinpoint specific issues through detailed user feedback and usability testing

What do you dislike about the product?
There arnt the chinese panel if i want to test the china targeted users, there is no way .
To find the Commercial user panel is always a big challenge in Usertesting.com, and the commercial pannel is enough trust and we designer can persuade `project`s stakholders to trust the panel that we find in UT.com , especially the commericla users.
There arent place that we can directly type the email adresses that who can be in the test, when you test the Dell / company internal tool

UserTesting makes user research quick and easy
What do you like best about the product?
UserTesting makes collecting user feedback quick and easy. You can conduct various types of studies and use various types of stimuli, making it flexible for almost anyone from small busines to large corporations to use. In addition to this, their power sessions are extremely useful if you ever want to get valuable feeback from another researher, or need to think of a creative way to get the feedback you need from a researcher who knows the platform in and out. There is also live chat, which I have found to be easy to access when needed, and an extremely robust knowledge base of articles for quick reference.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more options in the basic subscription plan. They just merged with User Zoom and are adding features that we do not have access to unless we upgrade our subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting is helping us learn about our user wants & needs, as well as rapid prototype usability testing to reduce as much friction as possible before we launch an update to our product.
A fantastic tool for gaining valuable insights!
What do you like best about the product?
UserTesting is such an easy platform to use! The ease of use is the main thing that I like the best, the quick turnaround for getting tests out to participants, and also the ease of if a participant's recording isn't up to standard, or they haven't followed the instructions properly it's so easy to replace a participant and not disrupt the research process. The metrics and displays of data in graphs automatically are extremely helpful too, I have used these when presenting to stakeholders at short notice. The recordings are always good quality, and the transcripts are helpful to follow when you are unable to play the full recording out loud. I use the platform at least 3 times a week out of a 5 day working week and am the champion of it in our company so can say I really do love it as a tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say it's a dislike but sometimes the transcripts are inaccurate, or details have been missed/don't match what participants have written. I know there is an AI tool that can be used by those with a more premium account with Usertesting, it would be great if you could buy use of that feature through your credits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting was instrumental in an end-to-end redesign of the Russell & Bromley checkout. I was hired into the company to deliver the project and was the lead UX designer. Every round of user testing provided us with more valuable and detailed insights, which contributed hugely to the overall design. I felt so confident going into sign-off meetings with C-Suite members, communicating to key stakeholders and feeling confident that the design was user-centred and championed who would be our customers using it. I believe that UserTesting was also used for sign-off on the business case for the project before I was onboarded, as participants were asked to review the checkout alongside competitors. I regularly use the platform to test my designs for A/B testing before they go live on site, this can help me decide between, and /or refine variants that will go live on site. We currently also use Content Square, so any time our analyst identifies a problem being encountered by users on site, I will send out a user test to gain qualitative insights and understand why users are feeling the way they do, their own pain points, and reactions to the interface.
Essential tool for my day-to-day work
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality is top-tier. It's such an intuitive and easy-to-use tool where I can log on run tests and get feedback in super quick time. Ideal for my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I have nothing to fault. UserTesting fulfills all my work needs efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I focus on UX content design and USer Testing helps me get my ideas in front of real-life users which is essential to my decision making,
UT is very quick to set up and administer, but lacks more granular screening options.
What do you like best about the product?
I really love how intuitive and user-friendly the product is. We introduced UT to our stakeholders to make UX research more accessible across the org, and everyone was able to use it without any issues. Another aspect I love about UT as a researcher is that it saves me a tremendous amount of time finding research participants. I simply design the study, launch it, and receive the results in just a couple of days - it's awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love the ability to set a participant cap for specific groups, or the option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
– It enables me to compare design solutions and determine which one resonates best with users, allowing me to make informed decisions before launching to a wider audience and minimizing potential risks.
– UT provides valuable video feedback from users, which helps me build empathy and gain buy-in from product leadership.
– I can collect feedback from competitors' users, saving me time and effort that would be spent recruiting and conducting research outside of the UT contributor panel.
Overall, UT streamlines my research process, providing actionable insights that drive better design decisions and product success.

Recruit as many participants as you need in MINUTES using a detailed screener
What do you like best about the product?
When launching a test with stringent recruitment criteria, my biggest fear is the amount of time it will take to get participants who qualify. *Knock on wood* Usertesting has not failed me in this department yet and usually provides participants within a day, even sometimes in 30 minutes!
What do you dislike about the product?
UserTesting still has to work on its AI features as it is not fully accurate. Especially when it comes to analyzing participants' sentiments, I don't find their negative/positive analyses to be particularly helpful. I usually ignore it. If anything, it creates more visual noise in the transcription of the user sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Given that UserTesting pre-screens and has a robust repository of participants, I save a lot of time because I don't have to draft consent forms and get participants to sign documents before getting into the main testing.
