UserTesting is used by our researchers, designers and PMs
What do you like best about the product?
UserTesting has become a significant part of our user research toolkit, and PMs and Designers use it. It offers robust customer support and facilitates easy collaboration within our team. It has streamlined the process of finding and incentivising the right participants, especially when we're targeting specific user demographics. The platform's intuitive design has also made it easy for our team members to quickly adapt and integrate it into our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, as with most panels, quite a few participants take part in studies out of monetary reasons mainly and sometimes aren't a good fit. For this, using the right screeners is crucial for us. I wish we could use unlimited screeners in our subscription though.
I can't speak to its analysis features as I'm doing qualitative analysis outside of UserTesting which better fits my personal workflow.
Despite these obstacles, UserTesting remains a vital asset for our team, helping us to gather valuable user insights efficiently.

What do you dislike about the product?
– Technical issues periodically
– Participants in unmoderated studies not being very good user testers (but UT has great functionality built-in to alleviate these situations to replace a tester at no cost or fix the issue)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of recruitment, streamlining research operations through screener templates and study templates, hosting videos or results to easily share with stakeholders
Great testing tool
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy interface, means even beginners can set up tests quickly
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of the testers clearly do not fit the criteria
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are no longer going with gut feel for explaining customer behaviour, and now have direct quotes to prove hypotheses
UserTesting - Review
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and quick to publish at test for a prototype and get responses back
What do you dislike about the product?
Proper screening, even when set up correctly still isnt stringent enough to get the correct users testing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly pushing out prototypes to users and getting feedback from them
Great original tool, junky integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Their original tool is unmatched, user friendly, quick tester response, quick customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Junky integration after consolidating so many companies. Was forced+upsold for hundreds of thousands of dollars to get access to additional tools not integrated into their ecosystem. It will take years for them to fully integrate. That means we get access to tools that do not talk to each other, that work differently, different customer service reps, different everything. You have to relearn every one. Many of them have poor usability. Also, each of them have their own upselling and pricing models. They are different companies which UT has linked from their main site. That's it. And we were forced to this sub-par experience. By forced, I mean they told us they were going to stop supporting our account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access to user feedback.
Helpful tool to gather user feedback and insights
What do you like best about the product?
Access to quicker user feedback without the manual work of having to recruit and screen participants myself. I love that I can set up the screeners and test and let the rest happen. I like their CommUnity as well which helps to connect with other researchers and grow together. Love the ability to create demo reels. I use usertesting very frequently and it's nice that it integrates with Slack. I love the ability to organize into folders for the tests too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the customer support and communication as when onboarding I never recieved an email to show my account was active. I also reached out for help in accessing a webinar and never recieved an email back. Sentiment analysis and some other tools that should help speed things up could use some work. There are also some user experience issues that could be improved when setting up tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us understand how users interact with our website and how we can make the experience better for them. Sometimes we have assumptions but aren't sure how they would truly feel about it and it helps to test those so we have answers early in the project. It also helps us move things forward in the process by showing why it's so important to make proposed changes.
A solid testing platform
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy user interface and a large panel of testers
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a bit steep for small businesses

What do you dislike about the product?
- Panel can be hit or miss, depending on need
- Branching logic and coded questions for screeners can be manual and repetitive

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access to user feedback in this way helps speed up our concepting work. Our UX design partners also are able to make adjustments and iterate quickly in a way that was not possible in my previous org where we manually scheduled and carried out usability tests - the timing involved just doesnt work.
Good but could be improved

-Does not allow you to preview tests as they show to participants
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to test our product and incorporate user feedback. The custom screeners are great for our niche software.
Expensive for a small enterprise with a wide audience
What do you like best about the product?
The panel is very big and it's a quick turnaround for results. The transcripts are great time saver along with making highlight reels from multiple projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing structure is confusing and I felt misled with the offering. The credit ran out 3 months before the contract and there was no negotiation as to how many credits would be suitable for a small company, therefore spent way more than what we had the year before on the unlimited plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
