  • August 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Wonderful customer success manager named Melissa Shelder.
What do you dislike about the product?
Promised new features sometimes materialize very slowly. Very expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are several different lines of business, so what digital problems it is solving depends on the LOB.

Excellent tool for User Research, Testing, Reporting and Re-testing

  • August 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The speed at which I can create an experience, select the audience, publish the experience, test and gather results (usually) by the end of the day. The experience is very well structured, easy to learn and deep in reporting analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike is a strong word. I dislike nothing about the tool, but I look forward to when "new" features are better integrated (SUS, as an example).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What are our users most focused on, do they understand what we do, can they find what they need, are we providing vlaue?
Answering those question, and more, help us build etter experienecs for our Users, Customers, Partner, Internal Team Members and Legacy users.

UserTesting is best in class

  • August 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In my role, I'm responsible for improving digital communications channels and messages on a global scale so I need to understand various regions, nations, cultures, etc. UserTesting has an excellent pool of people I can conduct user tests, research, polls, etc. on a global scale with specific demographics I need to truly impact the customer base when it comes to CSAT scores and brand loyalty. It's the most indispensable tool I have in my arsenal to ensure research-based design is at the forefront.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. They are continuously improving their interface and they listen for improvement requests or new features and genuinely care. The most difficult thing is getting companies I've worked for in the past to accept the ROI on the higher cost required. After 2 different companies, my current employer already uses them extensively in different departments so this is certainly a consideration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding people I can reach out to in the world whether moderated or un-moderated to get invaluable insights.

Great tool to do user research

What do you like best about the product?
I like the community in user testing. The UI is also very easy to use and smooth
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes participants do not show up, and it is unpredictable to plan interviews. Sometimes participants are not serious about the product and only participate for the reward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me understand the users' point of view and experience with different products

Good for companies. Not so good for testers.

What do you like best about the product?
Well at one time it used to be a good source of income for people who could test out apps and websites. The payout was decent, even good in some cases.
Screening used to be simple enough. Test plans were decent. Tech was simple and it worked. Customer support used to be responsive as well. I used to use it a lot back when all these things were good. Maybe it's still good for the companies.

In short:
- great for making side income
- great for learning testing on live production apps for career testers
- tech was great
- nice variety of tests across different domains - shopping, IT, HR, ecommerce, etc
What do you dislike about the product?
Now everything is not so decent.
Screening is tough has heck. Test plans are long and payout isn't good or on par, depending on where you are.
Tech problems are too many nowadays. Freezes, slow downs, errors. It's very bad sometimes. Customer support isn't helpful at all.
Time is wasted and there's no remuneration for it. And when you get paid, it's peanuts nowadays.
Not at all the good income stream for testers and QAs who would put their heart and soul into testing a nice variety of apps and websites to make a nice side income.
Ratings are unfair sometimes and arbitrary. It seems like your hardwork is valued very rarely, on whims, just so that the testers don't get paid what they're owed.
They take too much time reviewing tests and you can't even screen for other tests in that period.
Test opportunities are sporadic and not consistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowd sourcing app testing and paying testers for it. Makes for a nice source of side income. And companies have their app tested by relevant people. Win win for both.

The first and the best user testing platform.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the automated metrics and the color-coded pain points, compliments suggestions, and so on in the video timeline. Also, the vast amount of people we can have test, the ease of setting up a test.the ease of setting up a test. The automated support when a test has a problem. a company would be using this quite often, if more teams added members to be on the subscription. Integration with Contacts Square was a breeze and very valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The credits model to testing. I'm hoping for the day where there's a flat fee and we can test as much as we want... I believe this would make many more teams come on board in my organization. a company would be using this quite often, if more teams added members to be on the subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are benefiting from user testing by seeing real people either struggle with or successfully complete tasks in smart home mobile app tasks, as well as website shopping.

Convenient all in one olatform

  • July 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Unmoderated testing is very easy to conduct - it's thoughtfully planned and even as test taker, the experience is mostly seamless. Ability to create a test easily is also something that my team of non UXRs find easy to accomplish. I also appreciate the effort put into the analysis section - though I don't use a lot of it, clipping videos is very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes forever to load and multiple refreshes sometimes to even get to where I wanna be. Glitches are very common - once the test would just crash for the test takers half way through cuz of issues with the extension. Extremely frustrating and affected the results as well. Also, not able to find the right participants can be tiring. Not being able to select users for a study (from a qualified pool) is problematic too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us understand our user and moves the emphasis away from customer to user. Helps us test our concepts and designs. Ensures we stay user focused.

Excellent plaform for user research

  • July 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy access to panel of contributors across different roles and industry as well as spread across the world. There are multiple templates and easy to implement approaches for multi-research methods. There are always new additions and that's super helpful to plan knowing you can rely on UT platform. Their customer support is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quality of contributors on UserTesting is decreasing by the day. There are some aggressive contributors who feel entitled to incentive only because they show up and not provide any meaningful feedback. The quality needs major reboot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting is helping me to evaluate prototypes of the designs we are developing for our products and get timely feedback to understand if design direction is easily comprehensible, understand perceived value as well as conduct user interviews through various pre-determined templates. We have done early testing on Information Architecture, card-sorting methods etc.

Helps teams run studies fast!

  • July 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
UserTesting has a great panel that can be recruited quickly, making it easy to run studies when you need results fast. I also like the follow-along transcripty, it helps me analyze and grab quotes easily for my reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been a UserTesting customers for years across different organizations, and recently it feels more buggy than in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to test our live product or designs in a moderated or unmoderated setting. Also, being able to conduct interviews for foundational research.
