Brilliant Data integration
What do you like best about the product?
The collecting process of VGS is outstanding the way they collecte sensible data is quite impressive and tge software is quite easy to use with it's filter and sort things
What do you dislike about the product?
There no such thing about disliking but costing is one can be Little bit on high side but the way they are providing services it's bearable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing credit card data with encryption as well as boosting compliances. It's besically reduces the effort for any type of collection process for credit card data.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease and agility of response from the support team
What do you dislike about the product?
Some documentation is out of date and you need to consult with support to verify the documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our case, VGS allows us to securely store our customer's credit cards and allows us to make payments to third parties with these credit cards.
Developer-Centric and provides more fucntionality than other tokenization service
What do you like best about the product?
Developers have multiple ways of tokenizing sensitive data that other tokenization services don't provide. VGS doesn't require a tedious and unnecessary integration process, just develop and go.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to be PCI Certified and don't require storing cards or your payment processor has their own tokenization service and recurring payment functionality, using VGS and be in a contract plus have to pay a PCI certification rep isn't cost-effective and possibly unnecessary
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing security and the ability to store sensitive data in your database without the risk of said data being stolen or readable if your system is compromised.

The vaulting and tokenization solutions provided by VGS ensure full PCI compliance at an affordable cost.

What do you dislike about the product?
While the payments optimization solution (https://www.verygoodsecurity.com/payment-optimization) facilitates less sophisticated merchants to build their multi-PSP setup, VGS is still far from being considered an actual orchestration layer (such as Primer or Spreedly)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to its flexibility, VGS enabled our business to move from a static single-PSP setup to a dynamic multi-PSP ecosystem to achieve 1) increased uptime & redundancy 2) higher auth rates 3) lower costs.
Well documented api and very useful for tokenizing data securely
What do you like best about the product?
Their API documentation is very well put together. There is a lot of solid code examples using their API on github. I was able to mock up a proof of concept quickly for my team lead to show that we could do what we wanted to accomplish using VGS.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say there is anything major I didn't particularly like about working with VGS. Perhaps the concepts around using VGS Proxy for detokenization could have been better explained.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We previously used our payment processor to tokenize PII & PFI, but that was tying us to them needlessly. VGS allows us to easily switch between payment providers and adhere to security audit requirements.
We started with tokenization and we've moved to payment orchestration because it has been so easy

It was easy to implement and has expanded with our needs. It has made the process of certifying with payment partners so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like it if we could filter our logs better. We send a lot of information to VGS but only want to look at some of it within the logging dashboard.

It helps make our PCI compliance easier with tokenization. It also helps us move between payment providers easier with orchestration. We don't need to write that code.

PCI compliance and secure record storage.
Takes the complex and expensive requirement of PCI compliance and makes it simple and affordable.
What do you like best about the product?
There is a super helpful team behind the scenes always willing to lend a helping hand in navigating the complexities and strict requirements for PCI DSS compliance. Their team is very responsive and they provide all of the documentation needed to show proof of compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly hard to find anything to dislike with VGS. PCI DSS compliance in general is a painful, albeit very important requirement in the modern tech space. But VGS isn't setting the rules, they are just there to help tech companies follow them.
If I were to point out one area of improvement would be the configuration of sanitation rules. The rules are composed of a pattern-seeking language like a Regular Expression but the syntax seems very specific to their platform. This isn't much of a drawback as again, they help you every step of the way and once the rules are set one would rarely need to go back and update them.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VGS solves the problem of being PCI DSS compliant without having to go through the exorbitant cost of being directly PCI DSS Certified. It would be very difficult for small to medium-sized tech companies to develop services with custom payment solutions with the aid of PCI proxies like VGS.
They also offer a lot of services surrounding card capture/storage and technical compliance. Beyond card sanitation and vault storage, they can help with achieving SOC compliance. Another unique and powerful service is the ability to supply users with up-to-date card details for captured cards. This leads to less friction between the SAAS provider and end-user as the provider doesn't need to regularly follow up with the user for updated payment information.
They also offer a lot of services surrounding card capture/storage and technical compliance. Beyond card sanitation and vault storage, they can help with achieving SOC compliance. Another unique and powerful service is the ability to supply users with up-to-date card details for captured cards. I've been using the VGS for the last couple of years. Initial setup is quite simple & straightforward approach for setting inbound/outbound configurations. The best thing i did like in VGS was the support and team is being available in a short span when issues encounter.

Couple of features can be enhanced in terms of tokenizing the secrets.

VGS is easy to integrate and a great way to protect our user's sensitive information
What do you like best about the product?
VGS is really easy to integrate into our code base and we did not have many issues when trying to do so. I entrust VGS and think it is a very good way to secure our user's information.
What do you dislike about the product?
VGS website could be a little bit easier to navigate and more clear. When I first visited the website, I found it difficult to find what I was looking for, and had to spend time on there before getting used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to store user's sensitive information on a database that cannot be accessed without authorization. Our system stores sensitive keys and if in the wrong hands could compromise our users.

I would absolutely recommend the product
