Easy integration, perfect security
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with VGS is incredibly easy, requiring ~10 minutes of developer time. We were able to move our most sensitive data, like SSNs, to VGS in a matter of hours. Additionally, the support for unique use cases (for example, we had to send through a secure TLS connection with custom certificates) is exceptional.
What do you dislike about the product?
While easy to integrate and very secure, VGS is expensive. Because of this, we only utilize it for our most sensitive data, whereas for less sensitive information, like emails and names, we use our own encryption and storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VGS has made it easy for us to handle customer KYC with ease. We no longer have to worry about specialty infrastructure when building our product, which has greatly enabled us to move faster in product development by utilizing more standard SaaS building components that might not have the level of security required for handling sensitive data. With VGS, this is no longer an issue.

There's no easy way to promote routes to different voult . It must be done manually via yml file

VGS helps to automate the collection of data

It integrates with various platform and makes the auditing process smooth by collecting the evidence directly from the intergrations

There are few controls for which we have to manually upload the data even though the VGS platform is integrated with such tools

1. Product meets state of the art industry security standards.

3. They have excellent round the clock supoort. You never have to wait for a longer time to get a communication from them.

Its a bit difficult for less technical folks. The lingo used is specific to product and needs a starting training and thorough understanding

Simple and easy to use platform
What do you like best about the product?
Simple tools for developing your own solution that work well and are general enough to apply to many business use cases. VGS Sattelite is great for learning how the platform works and creating a poc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some more advanced features, which likely are often not used, are hard to configure. The Admin page is a little slow. Mobile SDKs could use more documentation or examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing secure data in a way that gives is complete flexibility on how we use that data and gives us a simple way to have it stored securely.

- Not much at the time, could maybe work more on the documentation on how these services integrate with other systems.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to reduce costs and move PCI-Compliance burden to VGS. Zero Data transfers the Risk to VGS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a solution that in-house resources can implement. VGS professional services are required to implement and integrated it into an environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick PCI-DSS Compliance was the major problem that VGS solved. We didn't have to deal with PCI-DSS compliance on our internal systems, which included documentation overhead.

The platform had some issues at the beginning as the new product of VGS but they solve all the problems tremendously fast

SOC2 compliance is a necessity for our company. We decided to pass certification with VGS

The fact that they are a turk key compliance with GDPR.

The signup process is lengthy. They should break it in many parts.

The easy usage and tutorials that explain how to do everything. In short: frictionless experience.
It also speeds up a lot the PCI compliance certification process which is awesome.

What do you dislike about the product?
The price to generate custom CNAMES, $40 is too expensive to have a certificate in a world with free options like lets encrypt.
For VGS Control sometimes they are still missing some important steps that auditors requires, but I think it is just a matter of time to everything up to date.
