Structured goals have guided my projects and enabled asynchronous global team collaboration

  • April 28, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I use monday.com end-to-end - starting as a task tracker and evolving into a core platform for project and program management. I build structured boards for project tracking, team capacity planning, and long-term program oversight. Additionally, I use it as a centralized database for asset and vendor management. I leverage forms and automations for streamlined intake processes, often connecting them to workflows across boards to drive efficiency and scalability.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of monday.com for me are automations, connected boards (Connect & Mirror), and flexible reporting.

Automations are a major efficiency driver—they’ve become significantly more powerful over time and allow me to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and scale processes across projects and programs.

Connect and Mirror columns enable me to build structured, interlinked workflows across multiple boards, which is critical for managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with minimal manual coordination.

I also highly value communication and visibility—updates, notifications, and monday docs allow teams to collaborate directly within the workflow. The ability to share boards and dashboards externally via links is particularly useful for leadership reporting and stakeholder alignment.

Overall, monday.com stands out for its flexibility and usability. It supports asynchronous collaboration across global teams, provides clear visibility into priorities and progress, and helps me stay focused on high-impact work aligned with strategic objectives.”

What needs improvement?

One key improvement would be stronger native support for working with numbers and formulas at scale—especially within subitems. Today, limitations in vertical calculations and subitem formulas make budget tracking and financial workflows more complex than they should be.

Another opportunity is more flexible program-level reporting. While monday.com offers great dashboards and program/project boards, it’s harder to generate high-level program views when projects are managed as items within a single board rather than separate boards. A more adaptable reporting layer that works across both structures would add significant value.

Finally, broader and easier access to AI capabilities at the enterprise level would be a major enhancement, enabling more automation, insights, and workflow optimization.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using monday.com since 2020, so I have been using it for six years now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I’ve experienced monday.com as a highly stable and reliable platform. Issues such as downtime or performance slowdowns are rare, and when they do occur, they are typically resolved quickly.

Support is responsive and effective—I’ve found it easy to report issues and get timely assistance. There is also good transparency around incidents through notifications and updates.

Occasionally, I’ve seen minor inconsistencies with automations not running as expected, but these are infrequent and manageable. Overall, stability has not been a concern in my experience, even with continuous, large-scale usage.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate customer service and technical support an 8/10. Overall, support is responsive, accessible, and helpful for most use cases.

In my experience, they are particularly strong in guiding standard workflows and resolving common issues. However, for more advanced or complex use cases, responses can sometimes be less efficient or more generic, requiring additional iteration to reach the optimal solution.

That said, with clear context and examples, support is generally able to assist effectively. There is an opportunity to further strengthen support for advanced users by providing more tailored, solution-oriented guidance and deeper product expertise in complex scenarios.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have limited hands-on experience with alternative platforms. I briefly used Asana in the past and am familiar with tools like Jira, though they serve slightly different, more technical use cases. I also use tools like Miro and Lucidchart for collaboration and visualization, but not for end-to-end project management. For my core workflows, monday.com has been the primary and most effective solution.

How was the initial setup?

“I wasn’t directly involved in the initial enterprise setup. I started using monday.com at the team level and later transitioned into a centralized environment as adoption scaled.

From a user perspective, onboarding was straightforward. The platform is intuitive and can be adopted quickly without heavy technical setup. Scaling it across teams, however, requires more structure and alignment, particularly around governance and standardization.

What about the implementation team?

I did not work with an integrator or consultant. However, from my experience, successful implementation depends less on external support and more on strong internal ownership.

Having a dedicated platform owner is critical—someone responsible for structure, governance, and enablement. Without this, adoption tends to drop, data quality declines, and the platform loses its value.

In my team, we focused on enablement through onboarding, training, and continuous support. We introduced simple use cases first, helped users build confidence, and gradually expanded adoption. Leadership alignment and a clear change management approach are key to ensuring consistent usage and long-term success.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I haven’t been directly involved in pricing or licensing decisions, as those are managed centrally. From a user perspective, however, the platform is easy to adopt, requires minimal setup at the team level, and scales well without heavy technical support.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not run a formal evaluation process, but based on exposure to tools like Asana and Jira, the key difference is flexibility and usability. monday.com is significantly more intuitive and adaptable for non-technical teams, while still being powerful enough to support complex workflows. Other tools tend to be either too rigid or too technical for broader business use.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate monday.com a 9/10. It’s a highly flexible and user-friendly platform that scales from simple task tracking to complex program management.

My advice: invest time upfront in structuring your boards, workflows, and governance. The platform’s flexibility is a major strength, but without clear standards, it can lead to inconsistency. When implemented thoughtfully, it becomes a powerful system for alignment, visibility, and cross-team collaboration—especially in distributed environments

Highly Customizable Monday Boards That Fit Our Workflow Perfectly

  • April 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Monday is highly customizable and fits our needs well, since we can create different boards, categories, and more to organize our work the way we want.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few automations that aren’t available yet, but I’m confident they’ll be added over time. Also, product integrations and overall connectivity could be better—for example, with Google Calendar. It would be much more useful if, after connecting the calendar, you could add notes that sync back into Monday directly, rather than only having a link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday helps us keep track of all our clients and the many tasks that need to get done. It’s especially useful for coordinating with other team members, since we can assign specific tasks and clearly see who’s responsible for what.

monday Keeps Project Management All in One Place—Organized, Integrated, and Time-Saving

  • April 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that everything I need to manage projects is in one place. It allows me to keep our team organized and create forms that let us organize data for efficient processing. From tasks and time tracking to Gantt chats and resource planning, everything is integrated, which saves a lot of time by eliminating the need to constantly switch between tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, my experience with monday has been very positive for managing my work and leading my team. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say—I’m very satisfied with how it works. It has also greatly simplified the way I manage hybrid projects, making it easier to keep everything organized and on track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It strikes a great balance between flexibility and structure. We can adapt it to our workflow while still maintaining consistency across processes for different teams. It also lets me create, share, and communicate information through a collection of highly customizable boards that organize tasks in spreadsheets as well as other visual charts.

Intuitive, Powerful Project Tracking with Game-Changing Workflow AI

  • April 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Monday Work Management is incredibly intuitive for new users, while still offering several in-depth processes and tools for more experienced users. It’s exceptionally easy to build just about any type of data-management board for a wide variety of projects. I’ve been able to track hundreds of projects at the same time without sacrificing time or quality.

The ability to leverage gen AI to help optimize workflow just by chatting with it through a sidebar on any board is a game changer.

Being able to assign tasks to specific team members and connecting responses through the built in logic has been essential for maintaining efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

The support options have been amazing as well. Quick response times, and I even encountered a situation where one of the operators recorded an entire video explaining how to resolve a unique issue.

I've had no issues integrating my boards into external projects through the ability to simply export and convert them into Excel docs. Not to mention zero performance issues, no data loss, or stuttering. I'm loyal to this software for all my projects moving forward.

Pricing across the board seems to be well worth the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I genuinely have very little to complain about regarding Work Management. My only real issue has been during the interactions with AI while trying to refine and make updates to an existing work form. Generative AI can often fumble simple instructions, and the more you try to explain the desired resolution, the more it repeats the mistakes. This is a consistent problem across any Gen AI platform, and I don't place much of the blame on Monday.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Two words: WORKFLOW ORGANIZATION

Utilizing all of the different boards and views has helped all our various teams streamline their individual project lifecycles, while maintaining ease of access across the board. This has decreased project waste and increased the value of client relationships through higher efficiency and success.

Leveraging Work Management as a "one stop" software has helped eliminate over-production and conveyance issues within our team.

Easy Sharing, Color-Coded Boards, and Great Integrations

  • April 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like many things about it! The ability to easily share boards/documents with team members, the color coding, having our individual "My Work" views, being able to integrate with other apps... all of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only that there are features we'll never be able to use... and I wish we could pay by user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is remote. Monday enables us to operate efficiently and effectively by updating projects in real time. Before Monday we sent many more emails to each other!

Effortless Setup and Automation, Needs Flexible Licensing

  • April 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like all the integrations and automations that you can do on monday Work Management. Being able to have things automatically move when a status is changed, or something is added or removed is pivotal. We have multiple project boards and keeping track of everything can be hard. But using the automations, we can have the projects move to different parts of the board by just changing the status. This lets us keep on top of projects and move them quickly to the back burner or back to the forefront. Also, it was very easy to set up and get going.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to add 5 licenses every time is not ideal. I would love to be able to add 1 or 2 at a time instead of 5. Working for a university, budgets are always tight and sometimes we just need 1 person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monday Work Management solves the issue of needing fillable forms with customizable columns and conditional formatting while serving as a project board. I like its integrations and automations for automatically updating project statuses, helping us stay organized and manage projects efficiently.

Creating a single source of truth and intergrating with all our existing systems to give us a single place to review schedules, workloads, performance and ROI on projects.

Monday Makes Marketing and Projects Effortless with Templates, AI, and Great Support

  • April 25, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Monday to manage everything I do with marketing and social media, to track projects and where they are from first ideas to final and approved.

Monday is very user friendly and comes with some common use templates that would really well to get you up and running quickly, you can use the AI features to also auto fill columns based on data in other columns which is really handy, say total of cost per month for the year.

I use it everyday without fail and have a lot on it and never have any problems with speed or it lagging due to the amount i have on it.

We have also connected it to our website so if anyone fills in our contact us form it lands on Monday which honestly has sped up some very slow process.

the support is great! and they are always up to help you solve a new problem if it crops up. mine is normally around automating a process but once you get to grips its easier to do yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
you can do way too much within Monday to the point if it does have an offline blip you are just refreshing the page until its live again, thankfully only happened once so far!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we have moved a lot of old email to email processes onto monday, now i just change the status to needs approval, the approver its notified they check and can approve or reject and note changes required etc... it saves so much time and removes the whole manual back and forth and chasing for them to reply to one of many emails they have.

we have also moved our CRM onto monday which connects to our website so if anyone completes our contact us form its instantly on Monday for someone to action or tag who needs to action and everyone can see the progress.

has just made day to day tracking of projects and tasks so much easier.
