  • August 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
it keeps everything all in one place and is connected to QB, so it works for me for now.

It could improve, but its okay.

I think Salesforce is better.
What do you dislike about the product?
it should make the boards' communication easier. and email integration is too complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps organize all my business, and vendor paperwork

Monday.com is a diverse and powerful application

What do you like best about the product?
We use Monday.com as a CRM, as a project management tool, and to manage our product roadmap. The application is very fast at loading the data and the organization is easily customizable for our needs to allow us to have very effective meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I am scrolling left on my track pad, it causes the browser back button to be initiated which is frustrating. It's not easily replicatable. Another area I've run into issues is when I am on a saved "filtered" view of a project and I add a row that at the time of creation is not a part of the filtered view, the row gets filtered out. You could think of a better UX for that situation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a better solution to keep track of all of the details of our customers and all of the details relating to our customer life cycle and have been more than satisfied with Monday.com's solution.

Overall great experience, but not without issues

What do you like best about the product?
Monday is great for managing tasks between multiple teams.
Automations and integrations allow for great versatility and make it easy to utilize other tools used by our company to work along with our Monday boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not without bugs and errors. Downtime can often occur spontaneously and it does affect work. There were issues with database not loading properly (or at all) which halted our work for a few hours, and this was not a one time occurence.
Formulas and automations are a bit lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday really helped with handling our operations projects, as well as connecting all suppliers on to one platform to use for updating and getting updated regarding daily workflow, as well as overall progress of projects and tasks.

Practical and intuitive platform

What do you like best about the product?
Monday is very simple to use, even users with low digital maturity can easily understand how everything works.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration with my email could be better. It's very annoying that I have to copy a link to insert into the email copy so that the message gets saved in the customers' card. It's a lot of work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Monday, we can manage all the stages that each client is at during their journeys, organizing our tasks and demands.

Depend on a lot of factors

What do you like best about the product?
The email linked to the task to follow communication with clients.
Capacity to automatize with restrictions but quite easily for a non-coder.
Share with team tasks and projects.
Create automated tools to optimize workflows and improve visibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only for enterprise, as a freelancer, I have to pay 3 licenses a month minimum and I am restricted by the features only available in the Enterprise version (formula columns, diagrams, more automation possibilities, account management, ...)
Not convinced about the usability of Monday for personal use as it has a limited feature for less than 10 licenses a month => Minimum. 45€ per licence so 450€ per month as a freelancer is too expensive and useless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improve visibility and shareability of information, simplifying the workload and securing the projects in progress and planning.
Improve the traceability of projects improvements.

Great tool for task delegation and tracking project progress.

What do you like best about the product?
Love the ease in assigning tasks to different people, the status summaries, the automations linking dates and statuses, and the ability to link different boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downsides I've experienced is how each table within the same board must have the same columns (which creates the need for new boards everytime column sections need to be different), and how there is only one level of subitems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small team but we didn't have one central place to summarize our projects list or one place to see everyone's tasks - so monday.com is the platform we use to create this communal space for everyone to see tasks, deadlines, project status, etc.

Monday.com helps global marketing stay better connected

  • August 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com allows global individual teams as well as global sub-teams within Marketing function off to the same software. It gives me visibility at a global scale into teams, projects, trackers and more. When used correctly I can easily find information I need per project including timelines, links, progress stats. The colour codes make understanding trackers easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may already be something feasible in Monday.com, but I haven't been able to find a simple budget tracker/spend tracker function. It would be good if there was a simplified way of tracking spend at project level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Monday.com the global team built out trackers using Excel and saved them to our local SharePoint. Since using Monday.com all trackers live in one Workplace (for Marketing), and are easily found without too much trouble!

Great experience with many resources

What do you like best about the product?
Its a tool always is updated (almost every week) and with the new realeses we see a good performance in boards with many elements in my case (like 2000+ elements).

I also like because we really "start" our proccess where with monday.com and give to us a very good visibility on what is really happen in your departament.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formula columns need to be more easy to use, sometimes its difficult to valideted what really happens in this collum.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global view of the entire team, which activities are in progress and what is left behind. through monday it is possible to define priorities and know the health of the team's demand.

Game Changer

What do you like best about the product?
My small company started using monday.com in December 2019, and it immediately made a difference by allowing us to consolidate our workloads into a single system. Before that, each of us tried to stay organized with our own Excel spreadsheets, which made collaboration difficult. Now, we're all on the same page, and we can use different boards individually to keep certain tasks private while sharing the work that requires collaboration. Adopting monday.com turned out to be incredibly fortunate, especially when, on March 13, 2020, we were all suddenly required to work remotely. I can't imagine how chaotic it would have been to coordinate our work without it—monday.com truly helped keep our company running smoothly. In fact, it worked so well that the owners decided to sell our office building and let us work from home permanently. This also allowed us to hire new employees in different time zones, which helped us expand our business hours. Without monday.com collaboration across different time zones just would not have been possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every program has its quirks, and monday.com is not immune. Really the small flaws are subjective and preference-based, but as an employee of a software company, I get why things can't be programmed in certain ways. Sometimes it comes down to the inability of programs to read one's mind. I think they're working on that too, though, with incorporation of more AI functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this to consolidate our workload, making it easier to manage both individual tasks and team projects, even when working across multiple time zones.

The ideal tool for project management

  • August 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Whether the project is small or large, Monday has the necessary management tools for a team to track, update, and inform a project's progress better than any other program I know.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some board features are not as nimble in displaying a multi-brand project snapshot for non-Monday users to digest. Gantt charts can only go so far when focusing on multiple brands at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com is helping us run hundreds of small and large projects across our busy team of 10 people. Tracking progress in real-time and housing project information in one centralized space has been foundational to our team's expansion.
