Robust Financial Management with Great Reporting Features
What do you like best about the product?
Its real-time reporting and customizable dashboards make financial visibility easy and fast. The automation of key accounting processes - like accounts payable, receivable, and journal entries - saves time and reduces manual error. Could access, strong audit trails, scalability for growing businesses, and seamless integration with other systems like Salesforce and ADP. Support is generally responsive and knowledgeable, though occasionally more complex issues take time to resolve. The implementation process requires some planning and training, but with the help of onboarding resources and support, it’s manageable. Once set up, the system is intuitive with regular use. We use Sage Intacct daily for transaction entry, approvals, reporting, and financial analysis. The more we use it, the more efficient it becomes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface can feel outdated and unintuitive at times, especially for new users. Navigation between modules isn't always seamless, and basic tasks can take a few extra steps compared to other platforms. The reporting tool, while powerful, has a steep learning curve. Building custom reports or adjusting templates often requires technical knowledge or admin-level access, which slows down self-service reporting. Initial implementation takes time and often requires third-party consultants. Some features that should be standard—like advanced billing or multi-entity consolidations—may come at an extra cost. Also, certain modules lack flexibility unless custom-built.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is helping us streamline and automate our financial processes—especially around accounts payable, receivable, and multi-entity consolidations. Before using it, we struggled with manual data entry, scattered spreadsheets, and delayed reporting. Now, we benefit from centralized data, real-time financial insights, and faster month-end closes. It solves the challenge of managing complex financial operations across departments and entities. With Sage Intacct, we’ve improved accuracy, reduced manual errors, and saved time on reconciliations and reporting. It also ensures compliance with audit trails and supports better decision-making with reliable, timely data.
Simple and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Intacct for about 2.5 years, and overall, I’m impressed with how it simplifies bookkeeping and day-to-day financial tasks. Provides required reports for decision making and analysis of operations
What do you dislike about the product?
It won't show the running balance of GLs while posting the entries
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to maintain accounts in systematic and simple way. It intigrates all the automation process easily. Consolidation of different entities and elimination of intercompany is very easy in Sage Intacct.
Very user friendly and easy to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
The interface itself and how easy it is to navigate. I also love how easy it is to get answers to something I need help with.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are still in the early stages so we working out some kinks with reporting. The reporting is our least favorite part right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud based rather than applications on the desktop. Easy to train people in the system and have transparency across the company. Makes AP easier.
Sage Intacct is great for day to day accounting
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct excels at the fundamentals such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, and even does a great job at fixed assets. It's built with accountants in mind and adheres to GAAP standards. One of my favorite features is the customizable and real time financial reports. I use a couple of the customized reports multiple times a day when working in Sage Intacct.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of Sage Intacct is because of all of the amazing features it can be a bit overwhelming at first. My onboarding consisted of multiple sessions regarding navigating Sage Intacct. I also know from speaking with colleagues that the system does not offer its own payroll features. We personally use another system that integrates with Sage Intacct for payroll and it has been a very easy process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct has helped us with our non-corporate partners attaching invoices, our previous system we would have to do individual invoices and attach separately to the bills after they were posted, and this was taking a substantial amount of time from us, now the AP personnel uploads the invoice with the bill and it's all there when we go in to look at it.
Intuitive, Easy-to-Use, and Effective with a few flaws
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the interface is very user-friendly and intuitive. All of the areas of Accounting are compartmentalized in their own modules. Sage University is an excellent tool to learn the software. It also allows for a high degree of customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when entering an invoice in the AP module, there is a field for Date and GL Posting Date. While the content in Sage University is great, the platform itself is very clunky and frustrating to use. It is very annoying that you cannot save a journal entry in the middle of processing it unless the debits and credits balance. It is also annoying whenever I get timed out and logged off immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct makes the process of paying bills and printing checks very simple. In past jobs when I was using other accounting software, it took much longer for me to process payments than it does now.

I like that it is very user friendly - I started a new job and was able to pick up easily

It is not easy to get back to a previous screen

What do you like best about the product?
It works quickly and I use it quite often. It offers tons of features for anyone in finance for my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes the permissions and assigning them can be annoying. And not allowing non admin users reset their own passwords.

Sage Intacct is solving managing multiple entities or locations by managing smooth intercompany transactions and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Also solving Budgeting and forecasting , since some lack accurate forecasting tools leading to unreliable financial projections and furthermore affects decison-making.
