Excellent ERP for our growing technology organization
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is extremely easy to investigate month-to-month swings in account balances and drill through to the transaction detail. Once built, reports and dashboards are extremely helpful. It is easy to close month-end with Sage Intacct.
What do you dislike about the product?
Building custom reports and dashboards can be tricky and nuanced. Additionally, updating reports can be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage's ability to integrate with other systems and consolidate our global results is a time saver.
Great experience with the software
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct stands out for its robust financial reporting and automation capabilities. The customizable dashboards and real-time data insights make it easy to track performance and make informed decisions. Its multi-entity and multi-currency support is especially helpful for organizations with complex structures. The cloud-based access is also a big plus, allowing secure remote access and seamless collaboration across teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sage Intacct is powerful, the user interface can feel unintuitive for new users, requiring a steep learning curve. Some features, like custom report building or setting up workflows, aren't always user-friendly without training. Additionally, integration with third-party tools can sometimes be inconsistent, depending on the vendor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is helping solve the problem of manual, time-consuming invoice processing and tracking. By centralizing accounts payable and receivable in one system, it reduces the risk of errors and duplicate entries. It also allows for better organization and visibility into outstanding invoices, payment statuses, and vendor information.

What do you like best about the product?
What I found useful was many of the options/features populated automatically eliminating the user to actually type in the segment needed. Also, when selecting another component, the drop down arrow provided the choices - you didn't have to rely on memory.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I found to be disappointing during the training was I couldn't "print screen" to use as support/backup when commencing actual work using the Sage accounting system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The AP Automation definitely helps with duplicating incoming bills and provides a mechanism to process payments efficiently, accurately and easily!
Great middle market accounting software!
What do you like best about the product?
We moved from Netsuite to Intacct two years ago and have not looked back. While the systems are not the same, we found the cost savings of Intacct along with their current functionality a perfect fit for the company. It's ease of use along with seemingly consistent updates has made us extremely happy withe the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some advanced features are stuck behind paid upgrades and the base functionality (specifically reporting) falls behind many other systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our base problem was finding an affordable comparable product to Netsuite after they increased their price by 3x. Intacct is 1/5 the price with 3/4ths of the functionality which works for us.

The intercompany features for multiple entities run really smooth and allow for easy reconciliations.
The creation rules on the banking saves ample time each month.
The ability to edit and delete journals within the open accounting period keeps the ledgers looking tidy.
The Dashboard functionality gives our budget holders a live feed of their finances which saves us time in producing reports and they then have access to their data whenever they need it.
The Sage university for the training was really helpful during the implementation process.

Some of the bank posting types don't make sense such as we can't post a supplier refund directly to the supplier account we had to put together a work-around.
The finance report functions take a bit of getting used to and are a bit complicated, which is fine if you use reporting all the time but if you don't it can be hard to follow.
Many of the add on software companies are USA based and not available elsewhere which is a shame as their integration with the system would really improve our processes.

Sage intacct has brought our software into the 21st century, it has allowed for faster month end processes & quicker, more accurate access to data for our budget holders.
Sage Intacct-Made for Accountants by Accountants (It's Obivous)
What do you like best about the product?
You have visibility into what is behind the numbers! So many systems lock you out of seeing the backside of a transaction. Not Sage Intacct--You can see what got affected where when you make a transaction!
What do you dislike about the product?
Put three accountants in a room and ask them a question and you are likely to get four answers, so sometimes things are not quite where I would expect them to be, but where they are makes sense!

Sage Intacct gives our company one source of information and a way to manage all of our entities in ONE system!
Business Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I love the upload function for large journal entries or A/R invoice transactions

The error emails tend to be confusing to follow/correct

Very efficient data reporting. Quick and detailed
Intacct has been a great upgrade from QuickBooks, but still falls short on some essential components
What do you like best about the product?
I work for a Family Office and Sage Intacct has saved so much time just being able to switch between all of the entities I work in on a daily basis. The reporting has also saved so much time in running consolidated financials withing certain groupings that I had to do manually before. As we have many entities that have different approvals for invoices, Intacct has streamlined the process so invoices aren't slipping through the cracks!
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately Sage Intacct still hasn't made it to the 21st century by only allowing checking, savings and credit cards accounts for cash management. There are Muni accounts, brokerage accounts, etc. This has been a real disappointment as I had to set them in their forced module and it's really lacking on the reporting as a result. Finally, it is just amazing that Sage hasn't brokered agreements to work with all the major banks at least here in the United States. This has been a real disappointment as I was looking forward to making our monthly reconciliations go much faster and smoother.

Much better financial reporting and a stream lined approval process for accounts payables.

The automation and real time reporting is a great benefit. Manual entry is greatly reduced, implementation was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features have a learning curve and sometimes small workarounds are required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the integration with other software to allow us to produce our monthly billing a lot quicker and more accurate.
