I've used Intacct for 6 years and implemented it at 2 companies
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct provided a valuable solution to nonprofit accounting compared to the older financial systems that were being used. The cloud based system allowed my teams to work effectively at home without worry of interruption regardless of where you are. We were fortunate enough to have already implemented Intacct before the pandemic. Even now that the pandemic has became an afterthought, Intacct still contributes greatly to our hybrid work model.
Intacct's ability to incorporate other softwares for direct feed is also an amazing function. I have linked Intacct to various tools such as Expensify, Adaptive Insights, Sage Intacct Planning (Budget), Salesforce, Ariett, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
Intacct has a great foundation, but to tailor to your company's needs, you may need a lot of additional tools which could add up in costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my first experience with Intacct, my company benefited from using Intacct's purchasing system in conjunction with Ariett. We were able to create purchase orders which linked to Intacct and keep track of POs on a large scale. In my current job, we do not have an extensive purchasing need so we were able to get by with Intacct's core functionality. We use Intacct's purchasing to allow managers to submit and approve invoices rather than have AP take the load of entering bills.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the automation and being able to duplicate an invoice to create a new one with the exact dimensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a big learning curve from the primative software we were previously using.

Intacct Accounting Systems
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user friendly and it is easy to navigate to different entities. I am still new to Inacct but it has made it very easy to learn the processes of my new position.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have only been using Intacct briefly and have no significant issues with the program. When I first logged in, I had to create some favorites, that was a little difficult, but that was more my error than system error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all of our accounting and general ledger information in Intacct has made for faster processes. It has been easy to navigate through to find and duplicate previous JE's.
Easy to use accounting software
What do you like best about the product?
What I enjoy most about Sage Intacct is the ability to copy invoices for recurring transactions. It makes my job so much easier, and it helps me to keep track of the bills that need to be processed each month
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downfall to using sage intacct is the inability to have multiple approvers on the invoices. Not having more than one approver has forced us to adjust and rethink how we get specific bills approved. Although we have found a way around this issue, it did create more work for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using sage has allowed us to keep track of our monthly expenses and has given us the tools we need to track and monitor our cash flow for future planning and financial reporting.

Inability to filter by additional dimensions

Allowing cross-collaboration between departments
It is quite the learning curve, especially those configuration issues can be challenging

Duplicating payments and quick approvals
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration issues and and having to work in different profiles as well (printing 4 cheques from the same bank). AP procedures run smoothly when everyone gets the idea of the system, but there was very little training completed due to low interest and technological issues and outdated systems and procedures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of communication between departments and branches
Strong Finance Software but Inflexible and not a lot of room for growth
What do you like best about the product?
Sage has a strong financial focus and would work very well in a consulting services or Time and Materials situation. It struggles with project management and project finance and has limited functionality in that area.
What do you dislike about the product?
The report writing and dashboard functionality is very outdated and made worse by inflexible data structures. Certain data tables can only be brought into certain report types, and there are line-item maximums to the number of dimensions items which can be added to groups/heirarchies.
The release program for Sage updates is also problematic. Even Sage's premier partners struggle to facilitate client release preview environment testing, and the preview environments can't be integrated with integrations, which limits the ability to test. Our company has experienced two critical integration errors over the last three updates due to the lack of this ability to test.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage provides a cloud accounting platform which allows us to manage AR/AP, reporting, and financials all from one system. It also integrates with the rest of our tech stack.
Easy to use and intuitive financial system
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct is generally intuitive and easy to use once you are comfortable using it. Reports are accurate and easily customizable. Easier to use than other financial systems I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
When exporting a report to Excel, CSV, etc Intacct doesn't just download the report. A white window appears that says "download the file", as if another option exists. The whole point is to download the file. The file should automatically download without the added click.
