Fully integratable
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct integrates with most software seamlessly or with the aid of a connector. Excellent community and learning center. Although more of the learning programs should be free since the subscription itself is so costly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating checklists could be easier. Color coding on financial reports could be improved (having separate sections for revenue & expenses).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating journal entries for prepaids and accruals to relieve the administrative burden during month end close. It is not difficult to post manual payments if our outside AP platform misses or doesn't sync properly.
Missing basic functionality that Quickbooks has
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Dimensions; they are mighty. As a nonprofit, we migrated from Quickbooks to Intacct in 2021 for two reasons: 1. We can track grant restrictions 2. Dynamic allocations.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Export to excel does not include formulas (I waste so many hours recreating formulas it's infuriating)
2. Implementation required a third party that messed up our configuration, and there was no help to fix the configuration error, which cost additional money for another third party to correct.
3. Quickbooks credit card processing was streamlined; Intacct does not have a native cc processor, and one has to build one for Stripe with a third party.
4. Product releases are confusing and slow. Announcement of Artificial Intelligence for Billing in 2021, but did not follow through with release until 2023, with no straightforward implementation instructions.
5. Dashboards are not very dynamic and visually unappealing.
6. Basic dashboard are weak compared to QuickBooks.
7. Report writing is complex and not user-friendly. Quickbooks out of the box reports are super easy in comparison.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
multi-entity consolidation, dynamic allocations, accounting for restrictions
True Cloud Based Accounting Software
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is a cut above the rest for us as a professional and managed services organisation, we use not only core financials but also have multiple entities and currencies and we also use the projects module to bill our customers from timesheets all held and approved within Intacct. We use the prepayments module and lots of other features to really streamline our processes and more importantly get rid of spreadsheets!
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be confusing sometimes but like anything else with a little practice and usage you get used to where things are and how to use the system as neatly as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is streamlining month end, allowing us to invoice hundreds of clients in just over an hour rather than 2 days, links to our bank to reconcile all our income and expenditure and allows us to have more accurate and real time management accounts.
Easy when templates are in place
What do you like best about the product?
When uploading receivables via the template, using Sage Intacct is quick and easy. I am able to review the upload and adjust coding if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works well for my position. I would like more versatility in some reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining both A/P and A/R and the check process.
Everything you need in a software
What do you like best about the product?
Sage is continuously evolving it's software in order to satisfy it's customers and making things more efficient for it's users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the only downside I have is having multiple logins for using the software, and another login for Sage community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage is currently helping us process invoices in half the amount of time it takes me to manually enter the invoices. It helps us to keep track of our expenses, as well as revenue.
Solid Accounting System with TONS of "Horsepower"
What do you like best about the product?
The dimensions and granularity of transactions yield a robust reporting capability in this accounting package. Highly recommended for businesses with multiple operating units or entities because Intacct allows the user to consolidate financial reporting under one login instance. The ability to custom-tailor an integration with your CRM is also a plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much! Intacct provides multiple ways to process the same transaction, which may confuse some. Also, Intacct may be overkill for smaller companies that do not need to consolidate financial reporting compared to other accounting systems on the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is improving its AP automation solutions. The current issue with using bill.com and other AP solutions is that they do not work with the inventory control module within Intacct. Given the volume of inventory transactions our company has, we have not been able to fully automate the inventory portion of our AP processes in Intacct.
one of the best erp systems
What do you like best about the product?
Adding vendors is super easy. It was simple to link our company cards to it as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
didn't interact really well with bill.com
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
researching for our yearly audit and reconciling our accounts.
Sage Intacct is good, but needs some updates
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that it lets you update things like the inventory without any issues, and then it lets you print the adjustments. Also, the connectivity with the sticker printer is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, Sage needs to update the program, it is kind of "old school", when you are using it, you can only use the specific program because all the commands affect the program when it's open. Also, the fact that it is not web base creates issues when the mechanics what to use the program in different computers, for example, we had the program on a tablet, and when certain time passed, it had to be reinstalled, calling customer service because it got disconnected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy to use once you learn the steps required to get to the feature you want. Also, the easy option to update inventory.
Support is lacking
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct does what it needs to in terms of an ERP.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system interface is not intuitive, and updates must be made in multiple places. Overall I don't think the system functionality warrants the cost, and I feel Sage needs to invest more in modernizing and updating the system. I also feel the support is lacking; we have had issues with responsiveness from both our CSM and a contact we engaged for a SOW.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It houses our financial information, but we ended up pulling out our billing, meaning it now acts more as a repository of information vs. providing us the full functionality I would look for in an ERP.
Robust when exporting data into Excel
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to manage expenses and other reports.
Very easy and convenient when billing schedules especially when using contract module.
It's indeed helpful when you want to generate financial analysis.
