Mainly please after a confusing migration.
What do you like best about the product?
So far, we're fairly new to using Sage Intacct, the reporting features as well as the automated SaaS friendly features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The migration process seemed overly confusing at times and resulted in work having to be done twice due to the confusion. Also, I've found the training that Sage Intacct provides to be lacking in clarity and overly confusing. I often found that after getting confused with a training explanation that the actual process is far simpler to explain to a new user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SaaS reporting as well as increased automation of day-to-day accounting operations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider partnering with a company called Platform Transitions who, I believe, will make your migration to Sage Intacct from another system far smoother and faster. Also, ask Sage to appoint a project manager or someone that is very familiar with your current system (e.g., QuickBooks) to act as an "interpreter". A major problem that we had was not fully understanding the Sage Intacct terms being used which led to errors in the migration process.
Not intuitive or helpful
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of accessing data through the general ledger and ease to reclass items.
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot reclass items in a foreign currency, once set up is complete it is very inflexible, the help section does not actually help and a lot of the work is not intuitive. I also find the budget upload process to be very tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Housing our actuals, it is a great storage center for our data and allows us to access info easily.
Great and amazing platform for accounting and financial management.
What do you like best about the product?
In our organization, we use Sage Intacct to manage our expenditures. It is a great and recommendable solution since it allows us to track every single coin and it reduces human errors. It has a simple and user-friendly interface which makes it easy to use and learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sage Intacct is a bit expensive, i wish the cost could be lowered to make it affordable to individuals and small sized businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, Sage Intacct makes it easy to perform monthly accounting tasks effectively. It has a responsive, smooth and clean UI which makes it easy to use.
Powerful, user-friendly, and sometimes even fun
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Sage Intacct's intuitive layout, as well as its customization capabilities. Intacct rewards you for exploring through its different menus. Intacct combines the functionality of several different types of tools into an impressive all-in-one package.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike about Intacct. As far as suggestions, here are mine: 1- It would be helpful to download spreadsheet reports in .xlsx format (rather than in the older .xls format). It would save me a click when Excel asks me if I'm sure I want to open a potentially incompatible file. 2- When running GL reports, it would also be helpful to have the capability to skip forward or backward in reporting period, as well as in GL account numbers. It would be slightly more convenient than having to re-run the report under the new conditions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an accountant, I can solve all kinds of problems with Intacct. Sage Intacct makes it easy to edit posted journal entries, as well as run detailed reports that I can later manipulate and analyze in Excel to determine expense trends, changes in costs, vendor payments, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a very friendly tool. My experience was awesome of adding the timesheets using Sage Intacct. It accepts the brief notes or descriptions while adding timesheets which is the best thing of Sage I see. Thanks

So far I did not find such point which I do not like about it.

Notes with the timesheet seem to me benefit f using this.

Reporting, document save in the cloud. easy access, a lot of function and flexibility. better interface, can combine with more than one eneitty in financial statements

EFT not avaialbe all countires need to set up a sperate EFT system in order to process bank file in Canada, too many functions, high learning curve, for new user
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting, easy access for manger and directors
We converted from QuickBooks and are very pleased with the capabilities Sage offers.
What do you like best about the product?
The options available to post to the general ledger are good. The ability to use Excel templates as well as recurring JE's and invoices is very useful. The reporting is strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting requirement of setting up account groups is a bit cumbersome and the inability to generate Excel reports that contain formulas in the total fields limits the effectiveness of using the reports for projections and "what if" scenarios. When creating reports that expand by a dimension, calculations such as percentage of revenue do not successfully translate to each of the expanded dimensions correctly. Budgeting is a bit cumbersome through SIBP. A big challenge I have is that when I generate general ledger detail and export it to csv or Excel, certain key data elements are not included on each line of data so the utilization of pivot tables is limited. I was hoping that using the csv export option would resolve this issue, but the format is basically the same as the Excel export and appears to be less of a data dump and more of just the same viewable data being presented in Excel. paying invoices with a Credit Card is a good feature but the way these vendor and transactions are tracked through the aging report is challenging. Credit card transactons never really clear properly from the aging. It is possible we are not using Sage properly but we were trained by our Sage consultants on this feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting capabilities enable us to more readily analyze and compare results between locations and versus budget. Tracking expenses is easier as well as vendor history.
Accounting Manager
What do you like best about the product?
The rerporting function such as report generation and creation, the UI is intuitive. It is very user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer support can be useless at times due to their work with BT Partners, and the integration with API can be spotty at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer supports virtually never helps resolve issues we send to them. Occassionally they will send literature to help diagnose the issue, but overall its a negative experience.
Best In Class Accounting Software
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful Reporting with Intacct Dimensions. There are many industry-specific modules and third-party integrations that help you streamline your operations. They are also continually improving and rolling out new tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little to dislike and things that I used to dislike such as bank rec and cash management have all been improved on. They now have bank feeds and auto-matching rules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Powerful reporting, Utilization of AI to speed up GL Review and auto-match bank transactions. Easily report global consolidations for global companies with entities in many countries
