Building Robust Finance System
What do you like best about the product?
Earlier, most of our customers were not happy with the way we were going with the billing system, and that slowly became a degrading issue for us. Not only this but there was soo many ups and downs in managing the revenue. And all these big and small problems were solved with Sage Intacct. Sage gave us a platform that has an excellent dashboard, which is easy to understand and has ample amount of features
What do you dislike about the product?
Sage Intacct can improve on providing more billing types, and tracking finances. These are actually not the disliking but the features that we are expecting to have. Other than this it is going in the right direction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems like managing our revenue which I can say is very much impacting our business and of course in a fruitful direction. Other than this managing expense and ERP for our vendors is also helping us in providing better feature to our customers.

What do you like best about the product?
The thing about this tool that I like the best is that this tool is cloud-based used as software as a service. This tool has the feature to run reports between receivable and payable accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I struggled with at the start with this tool is that it was not that user-friendly initially, I found difficulty in navigating through the tool, so some initial training is required to run this product at total capacity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage intact is helping me save time regarding financial alignment and tracking, with its feautures of automated reports on expense and cost analysis supporting many services domains.

My Recommendation to others considering Sage Intacct is that this tool is the most efficient tool if you're looking for financial alignment amongst your organization's finances.

Sage Intacct can also prove to be reasonable because of it being cost effective. Monthly accounting is very quickly set up and executed with the help of this tool. Sage Intacct can be run across all platforms with no such technical requiremnts.

I'm obsessed!
What do you like best about the product?
This is the most adaptable accounting software I have ever used! Over my 25 years of accounting experience, I've used a variety of software. All had something that wasn't quite right. But I love Sage Intacct! It by far supersedes all others!!
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboards are very customizable, but I would like to see more ability to add some variety in color, background, etc. There are improvements happing all the time, and I look forward to seeing what is in store.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization grew rapidly. Formerly, there was basically one person handling accounting for the organization without much input or ownership by the division heads. Now, with the advanced workflows, dashboards, and automatic reporting, we have division managers taking ownership of their budgets. This is adding to their ability to provide strategic input into planning and review for their division.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to take your accounting team to the next level, consider Sage Intacct. With Sage Intacct, we will never be behind the curve in accounting processes again.

Two major issues with bad customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intaccts arrangement and GUI are good. Sage has data templates to assist with mass data input, which are helpful. I wish there were templates for every data type, but you can make that happen by exploring their API database and inputting the fields you need into their templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The very worst problem I had with Sage Intacct was bad customer service. They shove you off to their community site for most troubleshooting. It's an embarrassment how little they even attempt to help you with problems that surely other companies have had before. All my coworkers and I have found the customer service to be worse than Quickbooks.
The other customer service problem has to do with their inflexibility. We signed a contract and promised to have a start date in the future. Unfortunately for us and sneakily for them, they used that signed date as the software start date. So despite the fact that we did not start using the software until later, we have to pay for months of it we did not use. And because this is a repeat software subscription, we are forced to essentially pay them at negative net terms.
Upon multiple emails and meetings with them about it, they told me that's all they can do. When I said, "Can I just pay it after Net 30 of when it WOULD be due", they threatened to discontinue service. Yes, that's right. They said they would delete our organization and destroy our books for a NET TERMS DISPUTE where they are in the wrong. So be very wary when signing up for Sage. They will do very little for you, but make sure you give them what they want.

It's accounting software. We need to book all our Assets, Liability, Equity, Income and Expenses, like any accounting software. Sage does this fine, but not terrifically. There is no module in the base package for payroll checks. (What? How?) I had to invent a way around this by booking all our payroll checks as journal entry line items. While an acceptable workaround, Sage had no idea what we needed despite explaining it to them multiple times. I had to make the software work for us, not them making it work for us.

What do you dislike about the product?
Can be clunky and notbuser friendly in not a seasoned user.
It is very difficult to rectify the error as this software makes it difficult to go back and change the number.

There are few modules such as prepaids,fixed assets anf purchasing that we had purchased after the initial implementation of intacct that did not work very well initially.There were many work account and technical problems that created alot of unneeded headache s and works.Fortunately in my organization this has been very well fixed now for the most parts and works.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, depth of functionality in many areas, speed of implementation, integration, available marketplace add-on products already integrated. Really good for multi-entity environment, professional services, software, healthcare.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basic reporting is a little weak, although that is typical for most ERP systems. The advanced reporting is good, but requires additional cost. Per user cost is expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a technology services firm, so we use Sage Intacct for project tracking and time entry. It's good to have visibility to project costs and budget in real time. It's very easy to view project status and generate invoices for projects as well. The results are projects that stay on budget or awareness of the overage sooner and faster invoicing resulting in better cash flow.
Easy to get proficient, hard to become an expert.
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct has an intuitive interface that makes it very easy to get new users on board and active within the software. We have found so far in our experience that it is very quick to get new users effectively using the software in a short period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support is tricky. It feels like the software attempts to "nickel and dime" you with every additional feature/task requiring fees or compensation. There are also a lot of the functionality that requires refinement and revamping (i.e. allocations, flat file uploads).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are still working through the process of solivng our issues. Financially, the G/L package compares favorably with most G/L packages available for small and middle sized companies.
