Working with Intacct in a service company

Accessibility to access and view Reports

the capability to drill down data in a global view.

is our ERP and we have all the accounting data

Intacct is excellent software in specifi for a product company and Saas.
Great all in one solution.
What do you like best about the product?
Great system that has allowed us to automate many previously manual processes. We were able to customize the application to provide us with the details needed for reporting and analyzing our data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be complicated to troubleshoot error messages. Reporting can be difficult as there are so many fields to chose from and little to no definitions of what the field yields in the report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have streamlined many of our processes and eliminating the paper processes.
I feel like our time tracking system in general is very easy to get wrong as a first time user
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to arrange the dockets by subject, etc. I also like the open format of the time tracking template. Although confusing at times (see below), I do like how I can arrange them in a way that makes sense to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
How confusing it is to track if you have a lot of dockets. I have lots of dockets on my studies that I work on and can often track to the wrong ones easily. It is hard to go in and correct because I cannot see my description
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I just track my time on Sage. The benefit is that my employer needs it and that I can see how much time I spend on each task

Organize your time sheets in a way that makes sense to you and make a cheat sheet of what all the modifiers mean.

What do you like best about the product?
The program is simple to learn. Easy to navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it is very limited when you need to research a PO and/or invoice. The reports that are available is very small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage takes care of a small segment of our business. It serves the quantity of transactions we need well

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you are unable to edit codes and categories after a bill has been paid and posted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am keeping better record of where the invoices are coded to. Intacct allows me to be as detailed as possible when assigning the invoices pay codes. The benefit to using Intacct is the summary of invoices entered and seeing outstanding balances no matter the entry date.

It is very user friendly, easy to learn.
Easy to use Sage Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is a highly effective online application designed for comprehensive data management, encompassing accounting, finance, and more. It facilitates the management of expenses, accounts payable, receivables, and client data. Additionally, it supports the collection of employee data, including time entries. Sage Intacct can seamlessly integrate with other software and online tools, such as QuickBooks and Xero, and offers API connectivity for enhanced functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am using Sage Intaact from last 5 yeas but i dont find any downside of this tool or application. But sometime we are getting delays on support side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company manages the accounting data for various clients and tracks employee time entries using this application. The application automatically generates reports, aiding upper management in making strategic decisions. It also addresses challenges such as developing dashboards for different KPIs, which are created automatically based on the data. Consequently, there is no need to use any third-party applications for dashboard creation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sage Intacct is beneficial to the organizations to those who use it. Here the subscription value is relatively high, so I don't recommend that small businesses to use it.
Sage Intacct is one of the best Accounting ERP systems in 2021
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct has one of the best Accounting ERP systems in the industry, and here's why: you easily look up past entries and access support files very quickly. The system is intuitive and easy to use, and you don't need much training to become an expert. For example, running the GL activity is very customizable and lets you pick and choose which accounts you need to review. From there, you can quickly drill down on individual entries and much more. For posting entries, you can easily save drafts, use upload files for large entries or manually submit entries for approval. My favorite feature is the ability to duplicate past entries, and changing the date automatically changes the memo fields.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system sometimes hangs on large data sets and there is no way to return to a previous menu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I learned what journal entries previous employees made, and see the support files in the same location has helped me understand my job better
Perfect for accounting needs
What do you like best about the product?
I love all the reports it has to help you run your business better; from Accounts Payables to General Ledgers and so much more!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be intimidating to use Sage at first because of how vast the resources are. But after understanding how to implement the tools into your work routine, it can make a tremendous difference!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Sage to reconcile accounts at lightning speed and also sort through variances that used to take us forever. It's been amazing to see what the program is capable of.
Great system, even if the UX is limiting
What do you like best about the product?
Sage does everything I would ever need from a timesheet and reporting stand point. It provides key functionality in a simplistic formatic and is more or less easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality is all there, but it's not the prettiest UX.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can submit my timesheets with ease, and the system ensures I do not spend all day trying to submit my timecard.
Easy, Simple, Straight-Forward software to help track Accounting
What do you like best about the product?
It's straightforward to enter in a timesheet + expense information. In the past, at times, it's been hard to find that information, but they're both near either other, so they're relatively simple. I've learned how to use the product to the best of my ability for my current company, so I know where things are, but if you'd told me "find these" on my own, it might have taken me longer, but still compared to other products out there it's easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Applications should maybe list on the top right instead of Entities; I've never had to use entities myself, and the only things I'm looking for as an employee are timesheets + expenses. Maybe making a way to alter what goes where or customize view for different users would help me get to where I need to in fewer clicks or time. Another thing that I don't totally love about the platform is at times it can be very confusing due to the add feature under the expenses portion since the page can be confusing and wonky formatting at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems I'm solving include being able to expense things to my company whenever I purchase something outside of using a company card. This is really beneficial because I'm able to drill down into any preset that my company has set for me, making it easier to customize what kind of expense or payment I need. Another benefit that I've been able to realize is the ease of submitting to a manager, sometimes documentation gets lost but with Sage Intaact I've been able to easily attach documents to exepenses and have them be easily tracked.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking into using Sage Intacct, I highly recommend it! There are tons of options where you can personalize so much different data; the more you personalize, the more it can be helpful to you. Non-dependent upon company size, I believe that whatever the use case, as long as you make enough fields and options, you're setting yourself up for success on the platform. My only absolute recommendation would be to stay as organized as possible to ensure better flow for you and your employees.
