Sage Intacct is a very powerful tool that can generate any financial report.
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct has many customize function. For example we can use filter when we want to generate report for specific program or department.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are too many functions available so it takes longer to learn how to actually use the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Track expenses for different department, project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you work for a organization that has complicated organization structural and want to track expenses better, Intacct is the better choice that Quickbooks.

Accounting System and Cloud interface are favorites

Customer service is weak and no dedicated rep who knows the product.

Allowed us to centralize our hotel and depts

Good product, but make sure you give ample time for set up

What do you like best about the product?
Dashboards are my favorite in Intacct. Makes my mornings much easier, only having to go to one spot to get all the information I need about how our business are doing!
What do you dislike about the product?
The accounts Receivable function could be improved some. But Sage has been working to improve this function for a long time, and there have been some great improvements. Could use a little more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The PO system solved excessive spending within our companies. Bank reconciliations are a quick process now. Reoccurring GL entries make month and year-end close a much less painful process.

It is user friendly and it helps build a paperless environment

Bigger reports and journals tend to run slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The system provides customs reports. You can also download data to a database and are able to customize reports.

I would recommend looking at the ease of use and the reports available.
Sage Intacct - good for flexible reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct proved to be an invaluable system when our business went through various restructures - the flexibility of the dimensions and reporting capabilities meant we could easily create new reports to reflect the new requirements without having to reclassify any historic data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to other accounting systems, like QBO, there are fewer default reports. Intacct's strength in being extremely flexible on the reporting can also be its challenge as there is more scope for errors with an inexperienced user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct has a whole marketplace of partners that offer integrated solutions for AP, payroll etc. These integrations save us so much time in data entry.
Great Cloud-Based Accounting System for a Single Entity, Room for Improvement for a Multi-Entity
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use! Within a month of using Sage Intacct I was able to learn the system without any external trainings. The reporting functionality is also very robust and simple to create custom reports without having to spend much time learning how to do so. I also like that the software is cloud based and I do not have to wait for a desktop program to start up. The software also has many partners such as FloQast, Expensify and Blissfully that allow for an easy API integration. Intacct also connects to our bank account for simplistic cash management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Consolidations is quite confusing! I would not recommend Intacct for a multi-entity company. It is very tough to follow a transaction through the consolidation process. Especially when dealing with international entities it can be quite difficult to follow a transaction from initial entry through intercompany through foreign exchange rate all the way to the consolidated financial statements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sage Intacct to drive very big business decisions. We are a rapidly growing SaaS company and have used Intacct to scale with our tremendous growth and the system has been able to adapt to our business quite effortlessly. We have built over 1,000 customized reports so we can slice and dice any dimension whether it be by department, vendor, employee or project spend. Our finance team loves analyzing financial metrics that are non-GAAP and intacct provides the bandwidth to support both financial and non-financial reporting as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a single entity company I highly recommend Sage Intacct. However, if you are a multi-entity company, especially one that is international, I would check out other options. The global consolidations module is hard to understand and difficult to trace a transaction through.
Sage Intacct for Multi Entity
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy the software is to navigate through and use. It has solutions for all of our needs whether it's native to Intacct or an add-on through a third party integration. I also like the Global consolidations and easy to customize reports. If there is not a report already available, it can be created.
What do you dislike about the product?
The multi currency functionality is a little limiting, but there are work arounds to make everything work. I think they could stand to improve that functionality. I also wish there were more options native to Intacct rather than having to implement a third party.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a lot of manual entry problems we previously had. Intacct has provided a lot of time saving processes for our company in terms of creating and sending out invoices on a monthly basis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great software. If you're good at researching and solving problems/issues that may arise, they have a great help feature. It's capable of integrating with many other softwares/solutions and very easy to use.

The most user friendly office accounting software I've used
What do you like best about the product?
I like that entering new transactions is quick and easy and I can track the progress of approvals. Project codes makes it easy to make sure we can budget within accounts. I love that I can copy to a new transaction. It makes those regular monthly expenses I make on the credit card easy to submit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had to figure out how to get around an attachment issue and it was quite the problem: If I attached my card statement to more than one submission (because they had different approval paths), the additional attachments with that statement would overwrite the other attachments in the other submissions. To get around this, I would only attach the receipts for that submission (and approval path) only and then after submitting attach the statement using the comment thread file upload feature so the finance office could see that I reconciled my statement for payment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking projects and staying on top of our submissions to the finance office has never been easier or less time consuming. If there is a problem, it is easier than ever to communicate with the finance office about a specific submission now that we have the comment thread feature on each submission.

Sage Intacct is mostly helpful in being able to customize reports for our business needs

I do not like the intercompany transaction complexity

We are able to analyze outstanding AP and AR easier and on a more timely basis.

I found Sage Intacct is very user friendly and customizable to your organizations reporting needs
