Very Automated and User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of the report writer. Also, the overall layout of the menu page. The use of the auto bank reconciliations has been helpful on reducing the time to close the month end financials. I find the system to be very user friendly. This aspect has been very helpful in the training of fellow staff members. The automation tied with the bank reconciliation has greatly reduced the time needed to reconcile the organization's bank accounts. The functionality of the cash receipts module is very easy for a user. In addition, this tool is streamlined into the bank reconciliation. This is also a great aspect of Sage Intacct and the automation tied with the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer that in the reporting options, there were better filters that curtailed to a business needs. I would like to see the program to offer free online demos or training videos on their platform. In addition, Sage Intacct should promote online training from their website vs. 3rd party contractors. This would make it easy for businesses to train their staff and develop super users. I would like to see Sage Intacct push training videos and notifications on the available updates and system upgrades.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct provided a strong solution to our revenue recognition process and ease of recording client payments. Also, Sage Intacct has helped with the tracking of client payments. Also, the order entry process has assisted in the creation of contracts and invoices. The order entry tab has allowed my team to quickly review the revenue that is scheduled for down the pipeline. In addition, the functionality of creating credit memos to quickly correct a client invoice has been excellent.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you know all of the functionalities of the system and train your team to be super users. The training of other members on your team is crucial step on making Sage Intacct successful for your organization. Ensure that you have a strong support team to address any system issues or questions that you may run into.
GL processing
What do you like best about the product?
Clear, friendly interface. Not too cluttered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some reports are difficult to find at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use Sage Intaact for all GL reporting for multiple clients. Having multiple entities available at the press of a button is a nice feature.
GL processing
What do you like best about the product?
Friendly interface, not too cluttered, simple bank recs & GL reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to find the proper reports at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I currently use Sage Intaact for all GL functions, bank reconciliations, and adjusting JE's for multiple clients. Having multiple entities available at the touch of a button is a great function.
New User Says Easy To Use
What do you like best about the product?
I think the layout is what I like the most. It seems fairly intuitive and it's laid out logically. Very easy to navigate around the program. Plus the support from Sage administrative staff is very good. Our company team that rolled out Sage said it was a lot but the support was wonderful. I'm very pleased with the account tracking. So many features, it's nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a massive program and does a lot. That is a good thing but it's also a lot to learn. I think the help menu could be a little easier to use but I am still learning. Also, it can be a bit difficult drilling down without a bit of trial and error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always had some issues with billing and having multiple locations under one company. Sage handles that quite nicely. Now our billing process is a lot faster and way more accurate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely give it a serious look. You won't be disappointed.
Bank Reconciliation
What do you like best about the product?
New updated Version for reconciling month end banking is extremely user friendly and easy to navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many area to move around for report, and sometime system password do not save for easy log in.

Recording daily transactions, such as revenue, running reports for each department

good accouting software
great and easy to use just takes a long time to load and kicks me out if logged in on other tabs

Easy to navigate and understand like the way it is set up

Does not let you sign in on different tabs sometimes which I need to do. Also takes a longer time to load and takes so long that sometimes it kicks you out

Pleasant Experience with Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
ease of use of platform and user interface. it allows us to customize reports as needed. we are able to integrate with our systems. the auto-reconciliation and being able to upload bank statements has made our month-end process so much easier and more efficient. also invoicing consolidation has helped us a great deal. we are able to see our invoicing at a glance, by account, by amount, whatever we need. this really helps us to narrow down where we need to be for certain month-end deadlines and of course providing up-to-date aging for our accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes syncing issues prevent us from having our aging and payments current. even though we are able to automate our processes, there sometimes are issues in the syncing, which means we have to take time to work backwards and find out what those issues are. also, sometimes we need to find certain reports, or reverse certain payments, but the AR process does not allow for this in intacct. once a payment advance has been applied, we are most times unable to reverse it and have to issue a credit instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of payment application and integration with our systems to ensure accuracy. again, integration and automation. this allows us to save time and use that time on other things like efficiency in reconciling and staying up to date with our accounts. AR automation is our number one goal.

It can handle the volume we need it to, and integrates with our system the way we need it.
Robust Accounting System
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is easy to use, extremely customizable, and can handle a large amount of data. Integrations with other systems like Expensify, Nexonia, and Sugar CRM is easy to implement and manage. Internal module add-ons like Prepaid Module and Fixed Assets Module makes accounting easier to track and manage.
Custom fields, rules, and reports are by far the best thing about Sage Intacct. Other accounting software limits options but Intacct will allow almost any customization you can think of. Being able to add multiple custom fields to transactions help us track and report more easily. For example, if we have a chargeback, we can copy the original transaction including all of its details to the chargeback transaction. We can then run reports to see the Customer's full picture of invoices, payment, chargebacks, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
We currently sync expense reports to AP Bills as opposed to Credit Cards in Cash Management. The reason for this is due to the Credit Cards requiring a General Ledger account for each to post to. When employees switched cards, we would have to set up a new GL account for each new card which was far too cumbersome. Since switching to the AP Bills module, this has alleviated the issue.
Another short-coming of Intacct is not being able to report cross-module. For example, the subledgers post in batches to the ledgers, so to see details you must report from the subledgers directly, however if an entry like expense reports posts directly to AP ledger, it wouldn't be in the subledger report. Not being able to combing Purchasing and AP in reports poses an issue when trying to see detail and the full picture. We tried an external reporting program to help mitigate this but the project was far too data sensitive and still didn't get us what we needed. We're able to use the custom reports in Intacct and we find work-arounds.

Prior to Sage Intacct, our company struggled with reporting of items per type and location. Intacct's customization allows us to group items by type and location which shows up cleanly on reports.
Expense reports were handled with manual entries which was time consuming, but after implementing Expensify, the two systems sync transactions seamlessly, reducing our monthly effort by at least 50%.
The global search function is also very handy when trying to track down certain transactions that may be in several modules. Instead of searching each individually, you're able to do a global search for an amount which will bring up all posted entries in all modules.
Dashboards have helped save time and manual running of reports for our decision makers in the company. They're able to see real-time sales and monitor marking efforts.
Memorized and scheduled reporting also saves a huge amount of time each month. We no longer have to run reports, the system automatically emails reports to users who need it. We try to automate as much as possible using Intacct and the reporting is by far the most valuable automation for us.

This system is by far the best accounting software I've used. The customer support is always extremely helpful and responds quickly to tickets. Quickbooks may be fine for very small companies, but if a company does any volume Intacct might be a better solution.
Sage Intacct works well for multi levels and multi dimensions

Like the different ways to be able to read data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The financial statement set up is not always intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to see each fund balance in an instant. Able to analyze details that are not the easiest to see.

This is heading in a good direction to help with grant reporting and the non profit world
