Great and user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful is the receivables modules. It is user friendly and the AR aging system is great for tracking o/s payments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Has some quirks, for example, when entering received receipts the system automically pays first invoice on list for customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fund accounting and Account receivables module

IntAcct improves efficiency and reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct enabled us to significantly shorten our monthly closeout process, get all of our affiliated companies on a common accounting system, automate consolidations and financial reporting, and improve the professionalism of our reports. It has been a significant time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fixed assets does not support the needed tax depreciation method options we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solved inefficient closeout process and manual consolidation and reporting. As noted above the benefits are include significantly shorter monthly closeout process, common accounting system for consolidated companies, automated consolidation process, automated financial reporting and dashboard report presentations..
Makes my entire team more efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct has allowed us to consolidate our many bank accounts (and reduce the related bank fees and administrative burdens) by automating the intercompany transaction process. Automating the expensing of prepaids and allowing us to perform complex allocations with a few clicks has cut down dramatically on the month end close process. One of the big selling points for us was the ability to import operational data and perform calculations along with the financial data. Reporting is also very flexible and allows us to put together more useful reports. Love that it's web-based. Our prior system was hosted by the vendor and accessed via remote desktop which was frequently slow and problematic.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using it for the past five months, we haven't found anything not to like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intacct allowed us to lower the costs of our accounting and reporting software solutions, lower our bank fees, integrate a better AP automation system (Yooz), automate our allocations, more easily integrate with outside solutions, reduce the overall time to close the books, and maintain our current number of staff while the company grows exponentially.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Some of the reviews made it look like Intacct was only for smaller companies. We are a $45 million organization and Sage Intacct fully supports our needs and has room to grow as we grow.
Great Product for mid-size companies
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to teach to my staff, great canned reports, Each module has the same look/feel making it easy to switch between modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom report writer is not user friendly. Having to purchase "add-ons" to the package - prepaids, custom report writer, FP&A software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We moved from Quickbooks to Sage. Great move for the organization. We interface with Salesforce which is very helpful. The right software for our organization! We are more productive and better able to track revenue and expenses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Buy this product and don't look back. You will be very happy.
Accounting
What do you like best about the product?
In the reporting function, the ability to get the information that I need plus being able to do calculations that work. You can duplicate the same report and tweak it for other functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to call someone with a quick question. I understand the time limitations to cover everyone's requests. I feel we are not getting everything out of the system because we are unaware of all the capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We haven't had many problems recently. I feel the best benefit is saving time by having everything in Sage including attached bills and backup for journal entries. Getting an overview but being able to drill down to the details.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a very robust system with many capabilities.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to allocate expenses through various dimensions is very useful. Having various levels of security so staff can access only the areas needed is also very helpful. The ability to create reports that are specific to whatever dimensions are needed is key.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating to help within the program is somewhat helpful. Having to log a helpdesk request and wait up to 2 weeks for a substandard reply is really awful. The lack of Support after the initial month of start-up is the most surprising part of this program, because it is so appaling. The program is much more complicated than others such as QBO, so the support should be even more accessible than it is for lesser programs.
The other issue we have grappled with is the inability of one company to pay the bills of another company without creating intercompany payables. One of our entities is a Management Company that routinely pays bills for other entities, without the expectation of repayment. We have had to create many sub locations to allow these payments, and have them aligned with the company paying the bill, while still allowing us to keep track of which entity the expense was for.
The other issue we have grappled with is the inability of one company to pay the bills of another company without creating intercompany payables. One of our entities is a Management Company that routinely pays bills for other entities, without the expectation of repayment. What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allocating expenses using 3 levels of dimensions allows for much more granular understanding of what areas of business are profitable and which are not, as hidden costs are brought to light. Being able to switch between entities quickly and easily is a big plus. Creating Custom reports is also great.
Love the features
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and simplicity make Sage Intacct a great product
What do you dislike about the product?
Only a few issues with getting logged out, other than that, it's great!

Keeping all sales straight. The reports are great for balancing with other programs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product to use with SalesForce an accounting functions in general.
Great software- Getting better all the time
What do you like best about the product?
The think I like best about Intacct is that they are always looking to improve their product, and really listen to user feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the modules are clunky to use. Specifically fixed assets and prepaids.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to have more accurate and timely reporting since we transitioned to Intacct. With the allocations tool we are better able to accurately allocate expenses and look more closely at actual vs budget.
Flexible, powerful platform
What do you like best about the product?
We use Sage Intacct to manage the finances for our church, and it's a great combination of power and flexibility. We had a ton of latitude in how we set things up and and we really were able to tailor it to our needs. We love how it integrates with other platforms, and Intacct's marketplace has great offerings on it that are easy to set up and work seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's so many features contained in Intacct that navigating and finding things has a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We aren't currently experiencing any problems. The biggest benefit has been Intacct's ability to work with our other systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have someone helping you set up the platform who understands your needs and can advocate for you. It's not something that can be done on your own and you need to make sure your implementation team understands your needs.
User friendly tool
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct is an extremely User-friendly site, which allows you to customize it to your companies needs and wants. I’ve used other ERP’s before and they just were not as great as Intacct.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally like the old UI better than the new Ui, things were easier to find more quickly. I also wish the mobile app was going to be ready much sooner and shocked that it’s taken this long to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It truly streamlined our Accounting process for us and has allowed us to focus in other areas of our business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just do it, I’ve used other programs and truly love Sage, my Account Manager and how they are always 10 steps ahead of the curve.
