It works
What do you like best about the product?
The sort/search screens views are very handy when looking up information
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting features are kind of awkward and hard to edit/find a report once it's been created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SaaS subscription software company I work for is moving away from Sage/Intacct
It works well for the most part.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to log in via the internet and the ease of navigation within the software. The layout and display is easy to read and move around in especially when entering invoices in the accounts payable section and when running the G.L.
What do you dislike about the product?
The modules that were added on aren't the best. We can tell they weren't part of intacct originally and seem to be added on after the fact. The prepaids, fixed asset and purchasing modules will work most of the time, but sometimes there is a glitch and it doesn't work at all which create a headache that I don't need, and takes me extra time trying to communicate with support what is wrong. The multiple currencies was not up to par as well. We use 4 different currencies besides USD and it seems to us that this software was not developed with multiple currencies in mind as some areas and modules show up in USD instead of the originating currency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the ease of use in running the G.L for specific queries. I find it easy to search for what I am looking for and nail down to the specific entry or invoice etc that I am looking for. This has led to more analysis and understanding of our numbers and has helped tremendously in investigating anomalies.
Good Experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of entering journal entries with the ability to duplicate an entry, set recurring entries, upload, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The report writing feature is more complicated than I am used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to further identify revenue sources with the Funding Source feature. Also, just getting to use the budgeting feature.

Okay for Non-Finance Users
What do you like best about the product?
It provides visibility to operations on the invoices and receiveables of our customers. Generally intuitive UI layout.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't track invoices that are emailed out to see if they were delivered or bounced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accounting and company visibility to customer payment status.
Versatile product
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, ability to run reporting and transactions with few mouse clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Clunky when trying to use in manufacturing environment, global consolidation module can be tricky and hard for first-time users. Too many steps in duplicating user profiles to create new users and setting up their permissions. Creating custom reports is not as easy in Intacct as it is in SAP and other more versatile software packages.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your company is at a point where you need something this versatile. When it was set up for our company by my predecessors, future growth and business needs were not taken into account making it an extremely expensive GL solution for our current needs.

Open Architecture. Cloud Based. highly configurable

Inconsistency across UI. Lack of internal controls

Legacy accounting systems are awful. this is the future

Invest in someone to implement it in a thoughtful way. Will greatly effect usefulness.
Pretty user friendly once you are used to it
What do you like best about the product?
If you are familiar with other accounting software, this one is pretty user friendly. Not difficult to figure out.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems to not like to work together with the contracts or GL module to put reports together.

Most anything can be accomplished in Intacct.

The price is high, if you are a small business.

There is so much functionality with Intacct. The customization of reports is highly desirable.
Solid product that is pretty easy to use

Manage all of our accounting out of the system. System helps with consolidation at month end.
