Sage Intacct: A Cost-Effective, Feature-Rich Cloud Accounting Tool with a Manageable Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best advantages of Sage Intacct is its great support for companies with multiple entities. Intacct allows you to set up different locations with each entity which makes it easy manage your books across different entities, including foreign entities. This is also reflected in the custom reporting options that you can obtain by customizing various reports depending on your organization’s needs.
Additionally, the ability to assign departments to specific accounts gives you better visibility and control over departmental performance. Revenue scheduling is another strong feature as it lets you automate and manage complex revenue recognition scenarios with ease. The fixed asset module is detailed and thorough, enabling accurate tracking, depreciation, and reporting of assets over their lifecycle.
Sage Intacct also has a robust billing system that integrates with other software, such as Sales Force, which allows our accounting managers follow the billing process from invoice creation to revenue recognition. There is also support for deferred billing and revenue schedules. The same also applies to the AP side. We can use the Intacct AP module or use a third-party and get the needed results and visibility.

What do you dislike about the product?
The software can be slow at times, especially when handling large data sets or running complex reports. I noticed that new updates occasionally introduce bugs or issues, which can disrupt our workflows. The user interface (UI) feels outdated in my opinion compared to more modern platforms, and there’s room for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct helps our organization by streamlining multi-entity accounting, automating revenue recognition, and improving reporting visibility. Its customizable reports and the ability to assign custom dimensions to the chart of accounts helps us achieve our goals.
User friendly interface
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user friendly interface of Sage Intacct and the variety of options we didn't have in Sage 100.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to customize after initial setup. Most likely need to do some training in Sage University to get the full functions and capabilities within the program.

Streamlining AP processes with Concur import files.
Easy to use and customize
What do you like best about the product?
The customizable modules have been a game changer in our day to day accounting. It is great to be able to keep Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Leases, Cash Management and Revenue Recognition all under one umbrella. Not only that but we are able to customize our modules and reporting to fit our business needs. This is used every single day when we go through our daily entries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downloading reports is still clunky and leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like there are too many annoying steps to get to downloading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is solving the problem of having all of our important work living in spreadsheets. We have since uploaded them to our Sage Intacct module and life has been so much easier.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The multiple search functions and the reporting are my most utilized tools. It is user friendly and easy to cross reference against our other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The PDF/XLS back ups not attaching real time within the software causing us to house bills separately from the system.

Sage is streamlining our AP process making it a seamless process to go from one side of our business to another.

Strong financial reporting capabilities, real time data access, and ease of integration with other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
its steep learning curve for new users and occasional navigation complexity in certain modules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
manual financial processes, data inaccuracies, and limited reporting. It benefits me by automating workflows, improving accuracy, and providing real time financial insights for better decision making.
Lots of room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Sage gets the revenue recognition in a much better place for subscription businesses. AR Automation is also helps to streamline collection and achieve higher rates of on time payments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough value in the 'standard' modules. Everything seems like it is an upgrade they are charging you for (e.g., better budget and forecasting, additional API calls). Sage is not easy to use. Typical daily workflows for accounting staff are not smooth and are require lots of extra clicks. For example, there is no ability to pull up a customer's account and see all open invoices and credit memos on screen, the process to update/correct an invoice is cumbersome and time consuming (can't add supplemental info like an additional email without filling out a completely new customer record). Sage cannot handle foreign currencies or IBAN/SWIFT for USD paid vendors (international AP payments)

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Sage Intacct is its ease of integration, aiding automation of various business processes

I haven't noticed anything less helpful with the application

The Sage Intacct brings a more efficient and easy way to prepare reports, analysing, integrating with silo systems and user friendly

What do you like best about the product?
I think between being able to make custom reports and being user friendly it is a great platform to run Construction business' through.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to go back and edit something. Like a bill that was entered for the wrong amount.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to automate report and even generate them on a weekly basis to have them sent to me and/or my team has been great
