What do you dislike about the product?
Cisco Umbrella can be relatively expensive for smaller organizations, especially when scaling across many users. Additionally, its advanced configuration options may require a learning curve for less experienced administrators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cisco Umbrella helps us block malicious websites, phishing attempts, and malware at the DNS level before they can even reach our network. This proactive protection has significantly reduced the number of security incidents and improved overall productivity by preventing users from accessing harmful or inappropriate content.

Cisco Umbrella is easy to set up and effective in its protection. You just need to configure what and how you want to protect and then add your roaming computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I disliked yet because this tool is very customizable. If you believe that it's blocking too much, you just need to change the configuration accordingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Threats have been increasing a lot in the last several years, so we decided to add extra security to work with our antivirus system. Umbrella was one of them and the benefit is that it pre-filters some of the traffic reducing the load on the other security systems we have in place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that as an extra security layer for your network. Umbrella is also able to protect roaming users that are very common these days.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact you can protect an entire network in minutes, with the ability to deploy agents to remote devices easily. Policies can be set up for each type of network and device as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
IT BLOCKS EVERYTHING.... Until you allow it, that is. The log analytics stream in real-time, but I would recommend a full audit before putting it in production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Umbrella to filter all traffic on several remote locations and windows tablets. We also us it to find out of any strange networking or malware traffic on our networks.

The simpleness of implementation. Can be as easy as changing where your DNS points to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not encountered a downside yet. We are 3 months into the contract and have had no issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection our assets with prevention at the DNS layer. This has quickly identified where there may be some systems calling out with malware that we may not have seen otherwise.

What I like about Cisco Umbrella is it's easy to use, even for beginners like me. It's easy to customize and user-friendly. It provides a layer of security in a single user interface. It offers a free trial for 14 days, so you can maximize it to explore and check if it meets your requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
A more detailed description of the Security Categories would be helpful. Generic descriptions provided. For example, state lottery sites could have more information in the report of the Gambling category.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently using Cisco Umbrella to filter what the user can and cannot visit. It's beneficial in tracking and reports generation.

I recommend using Cisco Umbrella to monitor and restrict users' capability to browse.

What do you like best about the product?
Cisco Umbrella is a very useful cloud security solution to implement security on a DNS level. Cisco Umbrella is very easy to setup. This solution protects the network by blocking traffic at a DNS level which ensures the contact with an infected website is blocked on an early stage. The user-friendly interfaces allow us to easily capture and respond to any alerts. This solution allows us to view the records down to an individual. This allows us to identify and restrict access to websites based on the need of the company. The investigate feature makes threat hunting easy in the network. This investigate feature provides us with critical information such as IP’s, domains and Malware hashes to identify and defend against attackers.

I have nothing bad to say about Cisco Umbrella.

Cisco Umbrella allows us to secure Roaming users.
