Secure, reliable cloud security
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Cisco Umbrella is it's easy to use, even for beginners like me. It's easy to customize and user-friendly. It provides a layer of security in a single user interface. It offers a free trial for 14 days, so you can maximize it to explore and check if it meets your requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
A more detailed description of the Security Categories would be helpful. Generic descriptions provided. For example, state lottery sites could have more information in the report of the Gambling category.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently using Cisco Umbrella to filter what the user can and cannot visit. It's beneficial in tracking and reports generation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Cisco Umbrella to monitor and restrict users' capability to browse.

excellent DNS security solution
What do you like best about the product?
1. Easy to set up networks and security profiles.
2. Daily threats and logs can be monitored from anywhere just by logging into the cloud dashboard.
3. Log reportings are great, and we can export the reports.
4. Fast response from the cisco team regarding any technical support.
5. We can add custom URLs to the web filtering profiles.

1. Firstly price, the umbrella solution costs more.

1. Malicious sites are restricted on mobiles and laptops

Security tool for working remotely
What do you like best about the product?
On my computer (IOS big Sur), Cisco Umbrella is a lightweight virus detective software. It won't slow me down. I have used some security software before, and they are all cumbersome. As a designer, the speed of my computer really matters.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I'm all good with Cisco Umbrella, at least during the 2-year use!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After the COVID pandemic, our team started to work from home, and it's an issue with security problem while working remotely, our server and VPN may get the attack. Hence our IT team installed this software for all of us and used it to protect our server.

What do you like best about the product?
I really love this Umbrella feature from Cisco. We used the Umbrella feature for protecting endpoints in the office and home.
It is very easy to set up which is cloud-based and add our Home network and office network into the umbrella cloud dashboard.
No need to configure any further configuration on the endpoint side, jest we need to enter the umbrella DNS server IP! and provides very good blocking policies to restrict the user from visiting unwanted sites

Except for the price of the Umbrella, I like everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using the Umbrella feature, there is heavy internet bandwidth usage, after deploying Umbrella we restricted users from visiting high bandwidth-consuming sites and we saved some internet bills.

if you want to restrict users in-home or office from visit unwanted sites it is very useful.
DNS security is an easy and obvious win
What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively easy to set up and maintain policies. Policies can be tailored to different types of users. It's very effective at controlling access to sites that violate corporate policy or potentially malicious content while being transparent to users. Used in conjunction with AnyConnect VPN, Umbrella also protects off-site users.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike about Umbrella. It's not inexpensive, but well worth it for the additional layer of protection it provides.

Umbrella helps limit access to prohibited or dangerous content. It's especially helpful in limiting activities on our guest network.

The Best Solution for DNS Security
What do you like best about the product?
We have implemented Umbrella since 2 Years and I can say we have 100 % safe to any DNS name resolution. It is very good solution i ever used.

We are facing issue in xforwarder pack file as it is not compatible with sophos proxy

Our DNS query is secured now.

I like the ease of use of managing a large amount of devices.

The initial setup of the Cisco Umbrella software was quite difficult.

Managing web traffic has been very easy. We have seen an increase in security as far as website traffic is concerned.

It is a very powerful tool once it is setup. The configuration was somewhat difficult to setup.
