very good API Gateway, trustful and future oriented cooperation between client and vendor
What do you like best about the product?
Axway Amplify provides a performant, stable and robust gateway, with a focus on security and driven by consumers necessities.
Axway as a company shows a lot of support when it comes to help customers setting up Amplify to make to most of it in their organization.
Axways customer success manager support as well as the support given from the Catalyst team is very helpful especially in the beginnings of an API programme.
Axway was one of the first companies willing to discuss with us the switch from a CPU based license model to a transation based license model.
Axway as a company shows a lot of support when it comes to help customers setting up Amplify to make to most of it in their organization.
Axways customer success manager support as well as the support given from the Catalyst team is very helpful especially in the beginnings of an API programme.

What do you dislike about the product?
When we started with Axway, we used their API Portal solution. It turned out that this wasn't a well-fitting solution for Commerzbank, as it missed a lot of customisation options especially for adjusting it to the corporate design that we required. We abandoned the API portal in favor to use a self built API portal. Not sure how the current Portal solution would help us ..
The number of well working standard connectors seemed to grow slower than with other API Gateway solutions, even though it seems Axway is trying a lot to catch up
And we miss a ready to use Billing engine. Axway is build such a component, but it is only in the beginning stage and not as sophisticated as we need it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The robust gateway solution helps us covering all aspects of centrally managing REST APIs and expose them to internal as well as external customers. This is not only the PSD2 mandatory APIs, but also a lot of premium APIs for normal bank customers as well as SME business or big corporate clients.
Amplify is used to be the edge gateway for all APIs of Commerzbank. It is well designed to have a focus on the consumer organisation, when configured correctly. With the very good help from the Axway engineers we were able to do so, procvessing now billions of transactions every month
Also, the options to use a hybrid cloud approach helped us to move into the cloud at our own choosen speed.
And with the upcoming marketplace support, we seem to find another way of extending out range of coverange

1. choose a good architecture that fits to your existing landscape. Amplify is (maybe as many other API Mgmt solutions) flexible enough to serve different approaches.
2. it is not so much the technology (Axway is a solid API management product, but others might do as well), ist is more how one builds up the organisation around the API management that makes the difference between success and failure. start thinking big!!!

What do you like best about the product?
We used it for a small application for performing a POC but shifted to a different tool as the team found it more convenient to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Product Support and understanding. Since it was for a POC and was proven challenging to set up, Team choose to move away and shifted to a different tool

Security of data is must. This is one of the best tools available
Probably one of the worst companies I have dealt with

None, worst company I have came across in a long time.

The worst sales person / account manager ever - rude, abrupt, not helpful, agressive with threatening to cut us off with a weeks notice without signing new terms (which we had been told only that day) with a price increase by £2.5k a month!

What do you like best about the product?
API management is the process of overseeing application programming interfaces (APIs) in a secure, scalable environment. Axway provides a nice platform that allows the business to setup, configure, manage, monitor API's in a seemless way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The developer portal is little difficult to work with and does not provide enough features for a modem experience. Deploying in a public cloud for testing was challenging
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main business challenge is to centrally manage all the API's from different internal items. Also allow other business units to take advantage & cross collaborate each other. Also leveraging tokenization that helps to track usage, monetization, scalability and other KPI's that helps to measure the usage of API's

Cassandra DB can be annoying sometimes to troubleshoot.

Support of SSL/TLS1.1 is acceptable but outdate.
